[PASS] Batsu pulled a scroll out and started to read. The boy had never done an elemental ninjutsu before and was more than ready to try it. Hell, it sounded like a lot of fun and since he knew he was an electric elemental then he'd have an easy time fighting against Masaraku and Shinzu. The element could easily stun someone which was right up his alley. So if he could combine it and genjutsu then he'd be damn near unstoppable.
[PASS] Well it looked like it was time to put it all into action. Batsu took some chakra into his hand and started concentrating o the conversion process. After staring and concentrating for a few minutes, Batsu started to see sparks fly up from his hand but the bulk of the chakra was still that... chakra. At least Batsu knew that he was well on his way to getting everything done.
[FAIL] As Batsu continued to focus on molding and converting chakra, he found himself starting to get frustrated. The same sparks were showing up in certain areas where the rest were still chakra. Batsu let out a heavy sigh as he still tried to convert the chakra. Man, this was much harder than Batsu EVER thought it would be.
[PASS] Batsu continued staring at his hand and even started to break a sweat. This was the first time Batsu had to actually work in order for him to get the jutsu he wanted. Boy was this tough. But his hard work was starting to pay off.There were more sparks coming out from his hand. A small smirk started to form on his lips as he kept working on his technique.
[FAIL} More sweat started to drip from Batsu as he kept at the technique. The boy looked as though he had been rained on. As a sweat drop trickled down his forehead, it hit his eyes and Batsu cancelled the jutsu. He started to rub his eye vigorously in an attempt to stop the sting. But after a while, Batsu realized what he did and he groaned. All that work he did and he had nothing to show for it.
[FAIL] "Great, back to square one..." Batsu thought as he groaned. This was just plain suckish. He was almost there with creating lightning until a sweat drop hit his eye. Well, once bitten twice shy. He know knew to close his eyes to stop the possibility of sweat hitting his eye again. Batsu then closed his eyes and sighed.
[Pass] With his eyes closed, Batsu started up the training once again. The boy stuck his arm up with his palm out and started the conversion all over again. His intense focus caused more sweat to come trickling down his face some more. The poor boy was damn near touching the brink of overheating in behind the jutsu. This was definitely tougher than anything he had ever done.
[PASS] The boy squeezed his eyes shut tight just to protect himself from getting anymore sweat into his eyes. But the fact that the training was so demanding also made Batsu's face turn ugly.. It was a sign of someone actually putting in the effort to get this jutsu under his belt. The sad part was that this was only the first part of the jutsu.
[PASS] Surely Batsu was going to pass out soon. Well, at least he was close to the hospital and could easily be cured by a nurse in the event that something happened. More likely tha not, something was gonna happen with boy. Especially since he was sweating profusely so early in the game.

[PASS] After Batsu finished learning his first offensive jutsu, he felt the urge to go back to what his calling was, medical ninjutsu. The boy now needed the help of his mentor Mayumi in order to do this. The boy went into the hospital and noticed that his sempai was sitting at the desk looking bored, like she usually was. So he went up to her. Upon seeing her student, Mayumi stood up and greeted the boy with a smile.
[FAIL] "Hey Batsu-kun! How are you doing today?" Batsu smiled in return after seeing her whole disposition change. The boy then replied back to her. "Hey Mayumi-sempai. I am doing fine, but I have a favor to ask of you." The woman nodded and folded her arms as she awaited Batsu's request. The boy then continued on with his request. "Well, Mayumi-sempai, I've been a medic for a while and I feel that I have become quite strong in the field. So is there any way that you could teach me the chakra scalpel technique?"
[PASS] Mayumi smiled as she watched Batsu as to learn the technique. Se was more than happy to teach him the technique. This meant that she'd have a little help when it came time to go to the operating room. She knew Batsu was a smart kid and she had seen some of what he could do. There was no doubt in her mind that she could teach him the jutsu without any problems arising.
[Pass] Batsu watched in anticipation as he awaited his sempai's response. The boy was just eager to learn the jutsu so he could heal his comrades even more with the jutsu. He knew fighting wasn't his niche, so if he was to enhance his skill in medical ninjutsu then he'd make his mark in the team and wouldn't feel so bad.Now whether or not Shinzu and Masaraku would understand that would be a horse of a different color.
[Fail] Mayumi didn't say a single word to Batsu. The woman just reached in her desk drawer and pulled out a scroll and tossed it at the young boy. He opened the scroll and glanced over at the contents. Well there it was... the chakra scalpel technique. Batsu was overjoyed. He couldn't wait to get started, so Batsu rolled the scroll back up, bowed to Mayumi then dashed outside to start training.
[Pass] Batsu made his way outside and found a clearing out back. Now came the fun part. The boy opened the scroll back up and started reading. It looked like the first thing Batsu needed to do was to make a chakra blade across his hand. Way too easy. Batsu was a whiz at chakra control and was quite proud of himself at having the skill. Batsu just closed his eyes and opened the palm of his hand open. After doing so he jerked his hand downward and opened up his eyes.

In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.

It had been over a month since Batsu was last seen in Kirigakure. The boy left without a trace and didn't tell anyone about his departure... not even his parents. He went rouge for a spell and made a few changes to his appearance along the way. Well... maybe more than 'a few'. Almost everything about Batsu changed. His style of dress, his eye color, his hair color and length (mid-back), the new tattoo on his right arm, his swagger..... almost nothing compared to the old Batsu.
As he stood on the rooftop of the hospital, Batsu peered at his surroundings and saw that there was someone there. He had seen the boy before but never spoke to him. He wasn't really ready to start at that moment either as Batsu was still taking in the atmosphere of his home village.
Everything else still stayed the same. Villagers were still going about their lives and the aroma of sea salt was still lingering in the air. A familiar smell that brought a smile to Batsu's face. He actually missed it all and the joy of returning home was overwhelming to him and it resonated throughout his entire being.
As he stood on the building, a fairly strong gust of wind came from his right and his hair and clothes started to flow towards his right. One thing that did not change about Batsu was that he hated when his hair got in his face, which it started to.The boy's smile started to fade and he reached in his medical bag and pulled out a rubber band. Batsu then lowered his head, slicked back his hair, then proceeded to tighten the elastic around his hair. The boy lifted his head back to where it was before and now, with his hair no longer an issue, spoke his first words since being back in Kirigakure.
"Hmmm... where do I go from here...?"
