"well, I did think I was crazy when I first saw it." he chuckled. "yeah, I'll be fine. Just a lot to process... Life changed dramatically this last week.. And took quite a twist today." he looked at Kanrick and gave him a grateful look. "I want to thank you for all you two have done. I don't know where I'd be right now without you two. Im in debt to you." he bowed his head slightly in respect.

Kanrick chuckled. "You were dehydrated and lacked food from my understandings. Without those, one tends to 'hallucinate.'" He scratched the back of his ear lazilly and looked back up at Damien. "Don't worry about it, Damien. It was the least we could do for a weary traveler, on land or sea," He said with a smile. He nodded to him as he watched him bow his head.

Damien flushed when Kanrick mentioned his proclamation when he had first seen them. "well I am thankful." he took a deep breath of fresh night air and stretched. "I think I shall get some rest. I'll see you when the sun rises my friend." He made his way back into the cave an lied down a little ways from the entrance. "Goodnight."

Kanrick grinned and nodded. "You go ahead and rest. I will see you in the morning then," He said as he lied down himself. He kept a weary out as Damien and Kiya slept after all, who knows what dangers lie in this forest nowadays.

Damien awoke in the morning, having slept peacefully with no more nightmares. He almost thought meeting Kiya and Kanrick was a dream til he saw them lying down. He stretched wearily and quietly walked out of the cave, walking around the clearing. It felt good to be free. (em, do you think I should bring in another character?)

(If you want to, go for it. cool ) Kiya twitched every now and then throughout her own sleep, dealing with nightmares of her own. It all involved shadows and figures, glowing eyes. When she woke, she barely recalled a thing from her dreams, but she felt disturbed just the same. She sat up and stretched, seeing that Damien was already up and about. Kanrick was up the whole night keeping watch but she could tell that he was ready for a nap. She rose to her feet and walked to the entrance of the cave. "Good morning gentlemen," She said with a smile. Kanrick smiled back and scratched the back of his neck lazily. "Morning. Slept well I trust?" He asked, looking from Kiya to Damien. Kiya nodded. "For the most part at least," She said quietly.

Damien looked over at the cave entrance when Kiya woke up. "morning." he smiled at both of them. He could tell Kiya didn't sleep all too well and looked troubled. "what's wrong me dear?" he pranced up to the entrance gaily. "you know, I almost thought last night was a dream. Good thing it wasn't cuz now it's the best day I've had in ages." he smiled at the two of them.

Kiya blinked repeatedly a few times when Damien confronted her. She smiled. "It's nothing. Nothing to fret over I assure you," She said at last. She smiled as he spoke. "It's good to hear that you've had such a good day. I can only imagine when the last one was for you."

Damien cocked an eyebrow when Kiya said she was fine. "Mmk..." He said unsure. "And I can't even remember when the last good day was for me." He scratched his head, and realized he really couldn't. "Nothing that compares to this. It was mostly just when we got a little extra food or they made dock that we had a better day on the ship. Other than that.." He smiled.

Kiya sat down next to Kanrick and smiled. "I'm glad you're having a pleasent time here. It's comforting," Kanrick said, nodding. "We like to call this place our little haven in a way, escaping dangers and what have you. It's the perfect paradise," He said as he closed his eyes for a moment to take a deep breath of the fresh morning air.
