A night at the Club

Luis would nod his head and smiled at the other man as he walked the other to the door as they said their goodbyes "I'll certainly try, though it may be a bit hard. I'm already too excited...for everything" he winked a bit before seeing the other out the door. He would then head back inside to conclude the rest of his shift. It went about as dully as he could expect, he did one or two dances on stage before clocking out. Luis would quickly shoot a quick text to the others phone so that he'd have his number saved 'Hey this is Luis! Just wanted to make sure you had my number emotion_bigheart ' he would quickly close his phone before beginning the drive back to his apartment. Once inside he took a quick shower before stripping and curling up on his inflatable bed that rested on the floor in what was supposed to be the master bedroom. His rest was alright though he did have some trouble falling asleep due to the excitement, it had been so long since he'd been on a proper date.

Luis would wake up with a stretch and a yawn as his phone alarm went off, waking him up a bit later than usual. He took a moment to collect himself before heading to the bathroom, normally on the days he didn't have classes Luis liked to sleep in by an hour or two. Thankfully his date wasn't for another hour and a half so he was free to get ready. Luis would brush his teeth, quickly run a comb through his hair before then heading out to his closet which contained a nice white button down and a jacket, dark blue jeans, and one of his many hats. Luis would then proceed to quickly open his laptop to check something out when he saw an email from one of his professors which caused him to blink in surprise "Odd..." he muttered and opened it up before blinking in before his surprise turned to anger as he slammed a fist on the plastic beer pong table he used as a desk "Are you ******** kidding me!?" he cried out as he quickly type growled in annoyance "Maldita perra estúpida, no puedo creer que nos dejes caer esto en el último segundo maldito hijo de puta" he muttered to himself as he quickly grabbed his bag and shoved his laptop in it. He then grabbed his wallet, cell phone, and his glasses case which also got shoved in the bag before leaving and locking his apartment.

Luis had just been informed that a paper that was supposed to be due several days from now was suddenly due by midnight tonight due to some bullshit reason the professor gave, he hadn't even bothered to read it. Of course the ******** would drop this on him on the day he finally had a ******** date! Since Luis only lived twenty minutes away from the coffee shop he left a half hour before their date was supposed to happen and walked to the shop. The day was beautiful and besides it helped save on gas which he was running a bit low on commuting to work and back, thankfully he didn't work tonight so he was completely free. Luis would arrive ten minutes early and simply sat down at one of the tables by the window and set up his laptop, connecting to the wifi and put his reading glasses on. Hopefully Ryan wouldn't mind if he got some work done on their date.

Just as Ryan had been laying his head down on his cot in the barracks, his phone lightly vibrated. Luis had messaged him, offering their number to him to ensure that they had a means of communication before their date. Ryan slept peacefully throughout the night, waking to the beeping of his alarm in the morning. Being free of his stereotypical duties on base, Ryan took his time getting ready for the day: taking a long shower, shaving the stubble on his face, and taking time to pick out an outfit for the day. After putting together a few outfits, he decided on a pair of his nicest Levi's, a simple white Hanes undershirt, and a simple black sweater. Lastly, he put on his brown leather dress shoes, matching belt, and military watch. He then styled his hair neater than usual, checking himself out in the mirror a few times before deciding it was about time for him to leave so he could arrive at the coffee shop early.

Ryan took his old, worn pickup truck and decided to park a block down the busy road from the bustling coffee shop. He walked the rest of the way, still surprised by the sheer amount of people and cars that seemed to zoom by him. Ryan had always grown up in rural farm towns in Texas and really only got his first glimpse of a big city when he went to boot camp at Camp Bullis Training Site in San Antonio, Texas. As he was just a trainee then, he didn't have the freedoms to explore that he did now. He enjoyed having days where he worked and trained and then free days, even if his free days were few and far between. He enjoyed getting to live in a new city and explore the different ways of life, especially because they were so different from what he knew. In the past, it was hard to meet people as towns were small and everyone knew everyone. Whenever Ryan had met someone he was interested in, there was usually very little to do in town besides going to a saloon or for Ryan to take his date to the ranch he worked on and go horseback riding. Although the city was a very different change of pace and Ryan couldn't see himself living in a place like this for the long run, he did enjoy the new experiences. He had fun going to the club and seeing all of the dancers and he loved getting to set up a date at a coffee shop. Sure, he was a bit out of his element as most of the people sitting outside of the shop seemed to be college students and business workers all on their laptops or chatting over coffee and snacks, but he enjoyed trying something new like this, especially with someone new.

As Ryan entered the coffee shop, he saw Luis sitting by the window, working on their laptop. Seeing the other hard at work, he decided to stop up at the counter first and order drinks for the both of them. Ryan usually wasn't much of a coffee drinker but some girls in line had told him that Chai Tea Lattes were popular so he decided on that for the both of them. He waited his turn in line before his name was called and he collected his two drinks. Ryan then excitedly approached, the two drinks in hand. "Good morning," he spoke smoothly, offering the other a sweet puppy dog smile along with the medium chai.
