I joined a writing group on discord a while back and they started doing these challenges. It was supposed to be a weekly thing, but it hardly ever is. Even so, it's certainly added to my list of short stories in recent months and I've also occasionally been doing writing prompts on reddit. I started transferring some of these over to my wattpad, but there are some that I want to tweak and haven't gotten around to it yet. So yeah, I guess I'll just dump all my raws here so everyone can see what I've been getting distracted by when I'm supposed to be doing something in the roleplay sweatdrop

As I await the ever evasive embrace of sleep, my mind meanders through memories repressed, but never forgotten. All the arguments and angry words, aimed at acclimating me to abuse and instilling an instinctual ache for any ounce of affection. Logic tries to lead me to safety, but my body betrays, instead beseeching my beloved to cease such sordid behavior. She says she’s sorry with suspicious sincerity, however, my heart hands her forgiveness freely. Though time tossed these tragic thoughts to remote recesses of my consciousness, I can’t transgress the indelible injury of past pains.

Shifting toward her sleeping silhouette beside me, I wonder if she knows by how little I’m still holding on.

Also, random story that I originally started for the purpose of:
1) Trying out writing in second person just to see if it can be done in a way that people don't hate.
2) Paying back the author of the shitromance by having a silly story involving her. (Sola)

I actually kind of like it and might make it into more of a thing if I can stop being lazy. Reddit critiques have suggested I change the perspective from second person, though.
