[PRP - CHECK UP] Cuts and Bruises (COMPLETE)

LuLu had to stifle a giggle at Zeke's excitement. The man's good mood was contagious. The girl's previous woes were momentarily forgotten as she took part in his bear hug. At the end of the day, she had yet another satisfied customer. Well, even though this one was on the house she still considered the human a customer. However, if Zeke wanted more from her, it would have a nice charge attached. The rabbit comented slyly, "I already do. Well, I do more makeup than tattoos usually." She continued, "It will last as long as a normal tattoo since it is regular ink."

Josh release a low whistle as he examined Lu's work from his chair. He was also impressed by her ability. Although, he was also relieved she had not given the guy a picture of a rabbit on his arm. It honestly could have gone either way. Nevertheless, as long as Zeke was happy with it, so was he. The guardian exclaimed to his charge, "Great job, Lu."

LuLu puffed out her chest a bit. Her focus drew back towards Zeke, "Now then..." Her sweet voice suddenly took on a dull edge. "Can I go home now?"

Zeke made an impressed whistle that mimicked Josh's.

"So I'm good for as long as I'm still kicking! That's awesome!" He kept turning his head to look at it, almost as if it would suddenly vanish or morph back into what it originally had been. His face was really aching now.

"Ah, yes. We are still in the middle of things aren't we?" That dull, tired tone to her last words brought him back to earth again but he didn't immediately go and retrieve his pen and papers. Instead the vet gently put his hand on Lu's head, touching briefly and mindful of her ears, before nodding and letting her go.

"No bumps or soft spots, so I think we can rule out head injuries. You're alert and even after using your powers a bit you're not displaying any fatigue or repercussions so outside of your bruises and the scrapes I'd say you're just a gal who got herself into one hell of a tussle." He chuckled at that and wondered if she won. "Plus you're moving around on your own just fine and believe me when I say I've had Freis and Sigels come in here looking far, far worse than you do."

He slipped over to the counter and picked up his things, jotting down everything he found and the best course of action in his opinion.

"That being said, I'm gonna clean your scrapes and bandage you up myself if you don't mind. And I'll be sending you home with some aspirin, just in case you have any soreness over the next few days." He again put his things down and went to wash his hands and don some gloves. "I'm also going to suggest that if you feel any worse than your 3's over the next few days that you or Josh give me a call. Delayed reaction isn't uncommon and if it happens I'd like to know the where's and whatnots."

He grabbed bandages and astringent from one of the cabinets lining the walls and picked up a small, sealed package of cotton balls from a drawer on his way back over.

"Now this stuff might sting a little but it'll help make sure none of these get infected. You can rinse your cuts out at home in between bandage changes but don't use soap. And so long as you don't pick at the scabs you'll heal up just fine in a couple of weeks. These don't look deep enough to scar."

He hoped she wouldn't be disappointed in that regard.

LuLu raised a brow as the man inspected himself. He really seemed to be appreciating her craftsmanship, and her ego inflated a little bit more. It was enough to bring a smile to her lips once again. Nonetheless, she was grateful when his attention finally returned back to the task at hand.

Her ears flicked to and fro as he patted her head, not really indicating if she enjoyed or hated the touch. LuLu nodded her head at Zeke's observation. She stated simply, "You should see the other guy." It was a phrase she had picked up from Franco, and it seemed to fit the topic.

Josh gasped quietly and replied to the other man, "Some come in even worse shape than this? Really?" He seemed uneasy, "That is pretty scary." The boy was already playing a loop of worst case scenarios in his head.

Meanwhile, LuLu floated over to the examination bench and awaited the last step of her visit. She exclaimed in a monotone, "Sure, whatever." She held out one of her arms that had a few unhealed scrapes.

Josh affirmed, "I will make sure she is on top of it at home."

Zeke grinned at Lu's response.

"Oh yeah," the vet nodded and looked to Josh when the other man gasped. "I've seen plenty of Raevans who have done a number to themselves, or had a number done to them. Broken bones and the like mostly but also power mishaps and what have you. Honestly a few cuts and bruises is refreshing for me!"

He got to work with cleaning LuLu up then, dabbing here and wiping there, before neatly covering things up. What the gauze would be too much for he opted for a couple of band-aids and when he was done the Rabbit Sigel looked the part of someone who got into a fight - bandaged but far from battered or broken.

"Okie dokie, all set!" The gloves were cast aside and Zeke went to pull the aspirin he mentioned from another cabinet, before gently pressing the bottle into Lu's hands.

"Like I said, just keep'em clean and change the bandages every so often. It also doesn't hurt to air your injuries out in between, so feel free. A couple aspirin should help with any residual soreness or anything new that happens to crop up but, again, lemme know if anything new does show up, okay?"

With that he clapped his hands and gave them a rub together.

"And with that being said I think I'm safe in releasing you! I'll just need Josh to sign these papers in your folder here for the record but other than that you're all set my dear!"

Joshua's eyes grew wider and wider at the other man's description. Of course, LuLu was no saint. His raevan had cause her fair share of mischief. Nonetheless, it took a small weight off of his shoulders knowing that the rabbit was not the only trouble maker in the lab.

The sigel's eyes narrowed slightly when the alcohol soaked cotton ball dapped at one of her cuts. Her lips puckered into a tight pout like she had popped a sour candy into her mouth. Zeke had given her warning, but it not soften the blow. It stung like crap.

The rabbit did her best to hide the discomfort, but her ears trembled gently as he moved into the next cut. Then, the next. Then, another.

"Go faster." her voice was a little sharper, more insistent. Zeke had moved on to dab at, yet, another tiny cut. This was at least the tenth one. At this point, she felt like a wall he was spackling with bandaids. The girl was visibly relieved when he declared his job completed and went to put away his supplies.

Joshua's tapped his hands on his knees. "That is great!" He rose from his seat. The boy approached Zeke and glanced at the neatly clipped ream of papers. "I can definitely handle that news. I am sure Lu is glad to hear it, too."

LuLu muttered, "Yeah."

Zeke flipped to the right page and then passed along the papers and a pen to Josh.

"Just sign on the line at the bottom there and date. I'll sign after you." He looked from Josh to Lu then, smiling sympathetically at the Sigel's mutter of agreement. As soon as the papers were passed back over, the vet put his own scrawl to them and snapped the cover shut.

"Okay let's head back to the lobby! I'll worry about cleaning up later."

Not that there was much to do in that regard. Zeke led the march back down to the front and slipped to his desk before the other two could get through the door. He seemed to be taking his time putting the file away in the proper drawer of his desk.

"Okay here we go," he righted himself after another couple of moments, beaming from ear to ear as much as ever. "Before you leave I find it customary to ask if there's anymore questions so...Any questions? From either of you?"

Joshua followed along with Zeke’s straightforward instructions. He scribbled down his signature, flipped through the stack of papers once more to ensure nothing had been missed, and passed the clipboard back with a smile. Everything was in place for them to go home. “Again, thanks for humoring me.” He was thankful to Zeke for reassurance that LuLu was in good health despite her reckless behavior. Perhaps, his brain had been a little too inventive after all and had caused him some unnecessary grief. He concluded, “I can be a bit of a worry wart.” The rabbit snorted from across the room, and Joshua admitted that this comment might be a slight understatement.

The guardian and raevan duo followed at Zeke’s heels. They soon left the examination area and returned to the front lobby. Josh watched as Zeke finished up the last few steps that would conclude their visit. He hummed thoughtfully in response to the man’s question. He glanced between his charge and the cup of pens from before. “Can Lu have one of those? I think she ended up doing a good job today. For the most part.”

The boy grabbed LuLu’s attention in an instant. She had not been expecting her guardian to cave in, so she was blindsided by the offer. The sigel lurched forward. However, she did not grab for anything just yet. She managed to exhibit some degree of patience. She continued to wait for Zeke’s response, but she had already picked out a nice red pen with her eyes.

"Of course," he waved his hand as he spoke in reply to the thanks, smiling just a little more at that. "I can be too when it comes to my girl, so I feel you man."

The smile he wore turned to a laugh when Josh posed the question and Zeke tapped at his temple in a very 'oh duh' sort of way.

"How could I almost forget!!" Lu neared his desk with a very eager lurch but didn't swipe the entire cup atop it. That was rather surprising but even if she had Zeke wouldn't have minded much. He followed her gaze as best he could, trying to figure out which one she was eyeing up in particular, but being uncertain, the vet did the next best thing and grabbed one of each color he had - one red, one blue, and one black.

"Don't be shy, you can have all three of these!" He held them out with a flourish before pointedly tucking the trio into the Rabbit's palm. It was obvious, however, that something else went in with them. When Lu met the vet's eyes he in turn would offer a wink and slyly hold a finger to his lips with a nod of his head at Josh when he hoped the man wouldn't see him do so.

Surely the Sigel's Guardian would protest too much to find Zeke slipped his new favorite tattoo artist a solid $100 for her work.

"I'd say you more than deserve them for today. You're definitely top of the list - the single best patient I've ever had, LuLu!"

LuLu's eyes went alight with excitement. A gleeful squeak escaped her despite her best efforts at containing it. She took all the pens offered to her - and might have snuck an extra while Zeke was looking away.

LuLu was also quick to notice the crumpled bill placed into her hand. The corners of the rabbit's eyes crinkled with a knowing look. She returned the vet's impish smirk with one of her own.

The girl pocketed her prizes. "Thank you Mister Zeke." She started to move towards Josh and the exit, but suddenly turned back around on her heel. She had almost missed an opportunity to get a new regular! "Enjoy the tattoo! Come see me anytime you want a touch up or something new." LuLu scrambled for her purse and pulled out a card for a tattoo parlor in Barton. She left it on the reception desk for Zeke before floating off after her guardian.
