I smiled at Larissa's giggles. She enjoys the affection and I'm glad, as I enjoy giving it. And she is enjoying the tea, which was something I had come up with a couple weeks back.

"I don't mind at all." I said as I leaned down and kissed her on the top of her head, a puff of my breath blowing around stands of carrot-orange strands. "Besides, I know how much you like snoozing."

"It's beautiful." I said. "And rather sad from what I can tell." I said as I glanced back to the screen.

I smiled as I had the little spirit jump over a gap and across some ropes, moving gracefully over a gap. "I'm not sure I need new clothes, but I don't think the stuff I have is going to flatter a maternal body." I said. And then she asked if baby dragons need clothes. To this I shrugged.

"I don't wear clothes in my full dragon form." I said as I looked at my hand, covered in glimmering stellar scales. "I don't think they'll need them, at least until they start shifting into human form for the first time."

"Soon, yeah. I think we have a day or two left." I shook my head, thinking about it. Larissa is always so exited when she thought about lifting the spell. I still keep feeling that slight amount of dread. What if I'm not a good parent? What if I'm not ready?

Okami Ameras

Larissa watched the white spirit on the screen moving about in the game as Midnight used the game controller a bit more. She was glad that Midnight didn't mind her sleeping in. Larissa loved to sleep in. She had to get up early for classes on weekdays, so weekends and holidays let her be lazy and indulgent. Midnight apparently could go without sleeping for days at a time which although impressive, Larissa wasn't sure she could do. Sleep good. Wakey bad.

"Sad?" she inquired, watching the game. "Well, so long as it's a good story" she said. "If it can make you feel things for the characters and the plot, then I'd say it's good" she nodded with a smile. She considered Midnight's reply to maternity clothing. "I think you're right. It can't hurt to go get some pretty maternity clothes and enjoy your pregnancy phase" she said. "I bet we can find some really nice stuff today"

Larissa felt Midnight shrug at her question and recalled Midnight's dragon form sans clothing. "Oh yeah, that's true, I guess dragons don't need clothes...but that doesn't mean they CAN'T wear them!" she chuckled, thinking of making cute knitwear for their draconic future offspring. "I could make them something like little...uhh, pet type clothes for four legged creatures. There's a lot of cute dog and cat clothing for Familiars! I bet I could take inspiration from those and make something adorable for the baby dragons" she gushed, going starry at the cute ideas that rose up in her mind. Trust Larissa to want to dress up a baby dragon. "You know, I could knit some covers for their poison spines. That way our more human-like child would be safe around them, and so would I".

Larissa did not want to be accidentally poked by venomous spines while interacting with the little ones. She was sure that wouldn't be a fun experience. Midnight was old enough to be careful but the babies wouldn't know. Larissa made a mental note to always carry milkstone on her person for emergencies. She looked at Midnight's glittery scales as the taller of them admired their hand, enjoying watching it sparkle. "We can make or buy clothes for their human forms too" she decided. "Fashion is fun! They'll be going out in style. Do you have any idea when they might learn to shift?"

She wiggled excitedly on Midnight's lap as her mate confirmed that the stasis spell would be removed in a couple of days. She couldn't wait. She never really liked the idea of putting the babies' development on pause but she knew they had to do it to protect them. Then it occured to her that once they left this honeymoon resort, the rest of the world was out there, including those horrible demons. Larissa went quiet and still as her mood shifted, memories rising of Midnight's fight with the huge beastly demon after their wedding. How much of a pain that had been. She wanted to go back to school and continue her training but they were bound to have problems pop up. "Almost forgot, been having such a wonderful time here. The demons await outside of our honeymoon, don't they?" she asked, rueful. "I'm sure we'll have more encounters"
