Viktor listened closely to the others around them as they spoke to the dark wizard as well. To best not overwhelm the already frazzled and upset dark wizard, he decided to let everything else play out before he asked any of his own questions. It seemed there was already a lot of other things going on that he wasn't originally involved in. It seemed he had accidentally ruined this man's attempt at the dragon slayer's life. Which, by the look of it now, didn't stand much of a chance of success to begin with. Just looking at the dragon slayer he could tell even he would have trouble battling him. This dark wizard never stood a chance. Whoever sent him grossly underestimated the power difference between them.
This didn't change the fact that it had happened anyways and he doubted that whoever was at the head of this dark guild was just a simple fool. They were most likely testing something or causing a distraction for something else. Even if he wasn't involved Viktor wasn't going to simply step aside and let these light mages take charge either. Unlike them he didn't live by any code or conduct to abide by. This dark wizard may have been right, maybe he did lean towards the light. But after being so deep in the darkness he had a natural tendency to strive for the light. Yet that didn't change the fact he could always resort to dark tactics to help him achieve those goals.
He looked at the dark wizard again studying him closely. His talk with him earlier combined with that between those of the light guilds told him much about his mindset and who he was. He might be able to use this to his advantage to get more information.
He looked at the dark wizard blankly. As things settled down he spoke "What you say isn't completely wrong. I agree with your sentiments. The lightest guilds can cast the darkest shadows while hiding in their own light. But I can't agree with the way you go about your issues. Why don't you tell me more about your guild and your goals. Maybe you can convince me of something else. I am all ears if you choose to speak." He leaned in and whispered even though he knew the dragon slayer could probably still hear. "Even after what happened between you and I out there at the station, with all these light guilds around I may be your best hope of getting out of here."
