Contra leaned against Joka slightly for support, nodding a quick thank you to the ringmaster.

“Indeed, my perturbed friend. I am the illusionist that Ms. That’lldofornow spoke of.” He held his hand over his mouth for a moment longer before rising closer to his full height. “You’ll have to forgive my current condition. I’m afraid I’m not accustomed to such modes of transportation.” In another few moments, he was standing tall and firm, and he took a step away from Joka, placing himself in front of both. He gave a low bow, crossing one arm over his chest, while bending the other one behind his back. “Contra Farst. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, good sirs. And what do I have the pleasure of calling you?”

Ghoul watched with displeasure as Joka moved to stabilize Contra. He remained silent after the illusionist confirmed that he had been the one Circe spoke of. When Contra at last regained his composure and introduced himself, he forced his expression into a neutral one and gave a quick nod.

"I'm Joka Dokeshi, the ringmaster of my circus." Joka introduced himself when Ghoul elected to remain silent. He glanced back at his irritable companion, who sighed in frustration, but complied.

"Ghoul is fine for me." He replied curtly. He turned his glare on Joka, stepping forward and leaning close so as to speak privately to him. "This is why you don't trust that witch!" Joka gave an uncomfortable laugh and nodded.

"Aye. Well, we'll discuss that later, won't we." He looked back at Contra. "For now we've got a more immediate matter to attend to. Tell me, Mr. Farst, what be your talent?" Joka asked pleasantly.

Contra smiled.

“Anything and everything by I can get you to accept. What the eyes perceive the mind believes.” He rattled off the quick rhyme with an accompanying wink. “In all seriousness, though, I am an illusionist by trade.”

Joka grinned brightly at Contra's answer.

"That be wonderful! We've never had an illusionist in our numbers before. What sort of tricks are yer specialty?"

Contra smiled and looked at Joka with a devious eye.

‘Well, I have a variety of illusory styles at my disposal. Word tricks, card tricks, magic tricks, and a host of other talents to boot. I can confound the mind, tantalize the senses, or confuse even the most logical of thinkers.” He looked from Ghoul to Joka. “Does that sound like something that could be useful to your establishment? I’d hate for you to give me a job out of pity. The only place dead weight is good is at the end of a noose.”
