[Xela the Vampire]

Erik looked at Fae and smirked a little before he shrugged, resting his forehead against hers gently. "What am I? You know what I am..." He chuckled a little and kept his eyes on hers. "Unless there's more to that sentence...Is there, Fae?" He asked, whispering her name lower for only her to hear it. He smiled a little as he noticed just how red her cheeks had become, thinking about what else he could do to keep her cheeks the way they were.

Fae stood there, quivering, her eyes now locked on Erik's. She could feel his breathing and, the occasions when he spoke, his words against her lips. Her lips parted slightly to let out small breathes. She feared that she was going to hyperventilate at any moment. She knew by now her heart must sound like thunder and her blood like a raging river to the full breed's sensitive hearing. Her hands were clutching on to the framing of the bookshelf behind her as if she felt it would prevent her from collapsing. He was so close to her. Just one simple movement, intentional or accidental, and she would finally know what it would feel like to kiss him. She was ashamed that she was thinking such a thing at this moment, but she couldn't help it. He was so physically close to her. And something about him just drew her in, whether it be natural or his power of seduction. When she spoke to answer his question, her voice was rapid and broken, "W-w-what do you t-t-think you're d-d-doing...?"

Erik smiled as a response to Fae's question, seeing just how shy she was as she looked at him, also seeing how nervous and possibly how embarrassed she was. "Oh, nothing...I'm just standing here with you. Why? What do you think I'm doing?" He asked her, tipping his head to get a better look into her eyes as he chuckled a little with a small smirk still sitting on his face for her.

Why do you have to stand so close? Why is it with every word uttered, you seem to get closer? And... what's with that beautiful little grin that hasn't once left your face in this moment? Are...are you enjoying this torment? Why, Erik, why?! Fae's eyes were slowing scanning Erik's face, as if to try and sense his motivation. Was he just trying to be a smart a** with her? Leading her on, perhaps? Or maybe he just liked to see her squirm. She was very much hoping that he wasn't listening in to her inner thoughts, as they were quite embarrassing. Her expression was that of confusion, slightly discomfort, and perhaps just a little bit of curiosity. She wasn't trying to hide it anymore. Her face was flushed, her heart pounding, and she was frozen to the spot. All she could do was stare at Erik and hope he wouldn't stay like this for long. Even her words were beginning to fail her, as she was again unable to speak.

Erik kept the smirk on his face as he looked at her, seeing her mind race through her eyes. He had decided he wouldn't poke around in her head, just to keep things real and true to themselves. He let his forehead softly press against hers before he pulled back and moved in close as if he were about to kiss her. "Fae..." He whispered quietly to her, so that her ears were the only ones to have heard her name being called out. He enjoyed seeing the blushing on her face and wanted to know what was going on in that intelligent mind of hers, but decided this may also strike more interest into her when it came to him. He smiled when her eyes met his again, waiting to hear her respond to him. He found himself placing his hands on the bookshelf on either side of her as he continued to wait for her to speak to him, keeping his eyes on her.

"E-Erik..." Fae finally found her voice and managed to whisper back, although it such a tone that only sensitive ears could hear. Her grip on the bookshelf behind her loosened as she briefly considered losing herself in the moment and reaching out to touch the very alluring full breed who was radiating the very essence of sensuality right in front of her very eyes. However, she resisted this urge and kept her palms pressed to the wooden furniture behind her. Whatever he was doing or had planned, she wanted to believe it was something meant just for her. Genuine or just an act, she found herself enjoying the male attention a little too much, especially because it was Erik giving her such attention. Her mind continued to race. Her breath was warm against his face and was coming out in shallow gasps, as if she was trying her best to control it.

Erik smiled as he heard Fae say his name, making sure he kept his eyes on her eyes the entire time. He let out a small, quiet breath as he moved in towards the side of her face, turning his head slightly to be able to whisper into her ear. "Fae...Can I kiss you?" He asked her quietly as he gave her the same quiet whisper he had given her before when he had only said her name. He let his hand on the opposite side of him slowly reach down as not to startle her, to place it on her shoulder, letting his thumb rub back and forth on the front of her shoulder. He raised his eyes and his face just enough to be able to see her eyes and her face as she would give her response in answering him. He gave another small smile as he watched her, wondering what she would say and hoping for what she would say.

With that simple, innocent little question, Fae's eyes widened as she gasped audibly with surprise. She felt her heart skip a beat. Her face was bright with a hot blush. Erik radiated confidence, sure, but never had he been so bold. Never had he tried to take their friendship to a level beyond friendship. Maybe it was no secret to him that she had been crushing on him hardcore for almost half a year now. Maybe he had been reading her thoughts and secret fantasies. Maybe...she was just overreacting. He had to be messing with her, right? This was just another prank of him. A very enjoyable one, but still a prank. Would he really go through with it if she let him? Is this something he wanted as well? How did they end up in this situation in the first place? What was even going on? How she wished she could look inside of his mind and see exactly what he was thinking, as it would calm down her own overactive brain. She felt herself waver for a bit and she grabbed on to the bookshelf to reassure her stance. Last thing she wanted was to faint over this. She was quiet, with the exception of her heartbeat and heavy breathing, for the longest time as she considered how this could turn out. She was convinced now that he was messing with her, Erik just being himself and all, but a part of her wanted to believe he was being genuine. That he wanted this too. She had never been one to take risks, but due to how perfect this moment was for her and her own feelings on the matter, she wasn't about to let it slip through her fingers. His delicate touch and sensual way of talking wasn't making it any easier on her to resist this temptation. A small, shy smile graced her lips as she finally muttered a muted answer to Erik's question. "Yes..."

Erik watched as she seemed to clearly be thinking about what he had just asked her, wondering what was going on in her own mind. He never once thought that his pranks and playfulness in his jokes would make her doubt him and feel that he was playing with her again. Instead, he felt that she was just considering whether them sharing a kiss would be a good idea in the first place. He was almost ready to reassure her that it would be okay or that they didn't have to, until she finally gave him her answer. He felt a little surprised, feeling that he wouldn't have that yes as the answer after how long she took to actually answer him. He smiled a little and leaned in, watching her eyes until he looked at her lips and then back to her eyes. He whispered a "thank you" against her lips before he closed his eyes and leaned in, putting full contact into the kiss. He was soft about it, making sure he didn't push her too far or do something she hadn't been expecting from him. He stayed like that with her for a moment or two before he broke it off and leaned back, looking at her to see her reaction. He wanted to make sure that it was okay with her, hoping that he didn't do anything by surprise. His eyes met her eyes again and he couldn't help but chuckle, giving a small smile as he pressed his forehead to hers. His smile stayed on his face as he watched her look back at him, keeping his eyes on hers.

Fae shivered slightly when Erik's lips met hers. She closed her eyes slowly and allowed herself to fully get lost in the moment as a very warm sensation washed over her. Her grip was finally released from the bookshelf as she awkwardly reached out to carefully rest her hands above Erik's hips. She wasn't sure what to do in such a situation, so she tried to recall what the female protagonist would usually do in a romance novel. Physical contact and...returning the kiss... that should be enough for a first kiss, right? And it was indeed something much greater than she had expected. Soft and delicate; something very suiting for Erik. She couldn't help but smile a little when he broke the kiss, her face still as red as ever. She was still for awhile, staring into Erik's eyes as she tried to think of what to say. Although curious about his actions, she was a bit embarrassed to ask about it. She tried a different approach. "E-Erik..." She whispered lowly, "W-what just happened?"

Erik couldn't lose the smile that seemed to be stuck to his face as his eyes kept on her. It was as if the smile was placed on him with a permanent marker. He chuckled as he heard her speak and ask him her question, licking his lips and shrugging a little as he looked up at the bookshelf behind her. "I think we just had our first kiss." He narrowed his eyes for a moment and gulped down his saliva, smiling as he kept his eyes on the bookshelf. "Well, if there are more kisses in the future that is...But...yeah...I think that's just what happened..." He looked to the side and then looked back to her finally, finding it hard to make that eye contact with her again. He reached his hand up and placed it softly against her cheek as he let his thumb rub back and forth on it for a moment before he rubbed it against her lips just as softly. He moved it back and forth on her bottom lip before he stopped in the middle and pulled it down just slightly before he released it again. His eyes stared at her lip for a moment before he looked back up to look at each eye, one at a time and seeing her looking right back at him. He gave another chuckle as he watched her, happy to see that she also was keeping her eyes on him.

"Does this mean...?" Fae couldn't bring herself to finish her sentence. So much was going on in her mind. She was actually beginning to consider this wasn't Erik playing a prank on her; he was being absolutely genuine. Her first kiss...consensually stolen away from her by Erik. He must like her too. That has to be it. Why else would he already be thinking of the next kiss they would possibly share? Her eyes met his, trying to read the emotion in them. The small, shy smile never left her lips.

Erik raised his eyebrow as he heard Fae start her question, wondering what she had meant to ask. "Does this mean what...?" He asked, looking up and tucking some hair behind her ear again. He smiled and watched her as she clearly seemed to be running through so many questions in her mind but still finding the energy to focus on the moment they were in. He looked at her lips again and decided he'd go for a second one, moving in slowly but deciding at the last minute to kiss her cheek instead, wanting to move only as she was ready to. He opened his mouth to speak and suddenly the library clock sounded as it hit the next hour. He jumped at the sound and quickly grabbed her to protect her if he needed to. He realized it was the clock and then released his breath as he let her go too. "Well that got me by surprise...Sorry about that..." He chuckled a little and rubbed the back of his head before he shrugged and nodded towards the door. "Maybe we should go back now...Or at least out of this boring old room..." He shook his head and chuckled a little and headed to the door, opening it for her and taking her hand as he helped her get across some of the things that fell when he had fallen over. He closed the door behind him afterwards and looked back at her again. He smiled to himself before he noticed her looking at him, smiling again for her.
