Milly woke up the the delightful sight of her beloved William watching her. She was still very thrilled that he was her husband now. Being considered a princess was all well and good, but being called William's wife was the title that she preferred. Milly yawned, stretched, and said, "Good morning, my love! Did you sleep well? I certainly did." She paused as she pulled the blanket up around her, and then asked, "Do we have to get up now? I feel much too comfortable. To be honest, I could stay here in bed all day!"

Shawn was in his quarters wishing Petunia were there. Soon. Straightening his ascot he heads downstairs to her room. Knocking, he nervously shifted from foot to foot. What if she's still asleep? What if he wakes her? What if she's not there?

"A very good morning to you, too," Wallace replied with a smile of his own. Of course the kiss that Sasha gave him made the morning even better. "I slept very well, thank you for asking," he added. Naturally enough, he held out his arm to her so that they could walk arm-in-arm as he escorted her to breakfast. "We can plan what we are going to do today while we eat," he suggested to Sasha.

"I've never slept better," William replied to Milly. He decided to not mention that he had woken up in the middle of the night with the question 'Am I really married to Milly?' on his mind. Of course the fact that she was next to him proved that the answer was 'Yes!' "I could certainly stay in bed all day, as long as I am with you," William then said, "We don't have to get up right away, although we should probably make a showing before breakfast ends. I think everyone will be disappointed if they don't see us at breakfast."

"Yes, there is breakfast," Milly replied with a nod of agreement. After a moment of thought, she said, "Very well, then. We shall stay here for a few very comfortable minutes longer, and then it's off to breakfast." After a moment of silence, she went on to say, "You know, I have a confession to make." Milly paused to give William a teasing smile, and waited a few moments to give him the chance to wonder what she might have to confess to. "The thing is," she continued, "Milly is not actually my first name. It's not my full first name, I mean. You see, when I was born, Mother had decided to name me Millicent. Father wasn't exactly thrilled with that name, or so I've been told, but Mother insisted on it, and so they named me Millicent. As it turned out, Millicent is such a mouthful that everyone started calling me Milly for short, and that's the name that stuck. These days I hardly remember my full name, and it's possible that even my mother has forgotten that she named me Millicent. The reason why it's come to mind now is I have been sounding out my title in my mind. You know, Princess Milly, and Milly the Princess, and then I remembered that my title should be Princess Millicent. Now I must admit that Princess Millicent does sound more dignified, but I still like Princess Milly more."

Even though Petunia was anxious to see Shawn as soon as possible, she had resisted the urge to stand by the door while she waited. Instead, she sat in a chair, which she had placed near the door, but not too close, and was entertaining herself by humming a folk song that was currently very popular in Funlandia. It was a love song as well, and not surprisingly, whenever the court minstrel had sung it for her family, she had always found herself thinking of Shawn. Needless to say, this morning was not an exception. When she heard the knock on the door, she practically jumped to the door, paused for a couple moments so that it won't appear that she was too expectant, and then opened the door with a bright smile on her face. Expecting no one but Shawn, she cheerfully said, "Good morning, my love! How was your night?"

Nodding, Sasha smiled up at Wallace. "I wish to check in with Henry. To see what his plans are, when he's returning home. Other than that I'm all yours. I'm thrilled to spend the day with you. Which we can discuss at breakfast as you said. I also have some ideas for Wren." Since the teen like purple so much and seemed to listen to her, Sasha is going to have Henry send her purple dresses to Wren. A compromise of sorts; dresses for the queen, purple for Wren. Sasha's hoping the fact they are hers will help influence Wren to wear them. They aren't princess dresses but they're fairly close and should please the queen more than what Wren's been wearing. As they reach the dining hall she smiled at the staff who opened the doors for them. Walking with Wallace, she takes the seat he of course pulls out for her.

Grinning at Petunia, Shawn takes her hand. Brushing his lips over her knuckles he releases her hand. "Good morning my love. I missed you. My night was well, but it will be better when you're at my side. How was yours?"

Just after Sasha and Wallace had taken their seats, Wren swept into the room. She was wearing her newest tiara this morning, as if she had always been in the habit of wearing a tiara. Even the newest member of the palace staff knew something about her strong dislike for tiaras, and so seeing her wear one now might be a bit of a surprise until one noticed that the tiara's amethyst stones were purple and remembered that purple was Wren's favorite color. Wren was also wearing a purple dress, which she may or may not change out of during the day, depending on her mood. "Good morning everyone!" Wren said cheerfully as she went to sit on the opposite side of the table, so that she could talk to both Sasha and her brother without having to lean around one of them. "What are you two up to today?" she inquired. Before anyone had a chance to answer, she asked Wallace, "Have you taken Lady Sasha to the Nest yet?" The Nest, more formally known as The Eagle's Nest, was the tallest tower in the palace, and the top of the tower provided a spectacular view of the city around the palace. Wren then said to Sasha, "If he hasn't taken you to the Nest yet, then you simply must insist on going there right away! And believe me, it's worth the trip. The view up there is quite breathtaking!" After chuckling for a moment, she added, "That is if you have any breath left after climbing all of those stairs!" She then laughed as if that was the funniest thing that she had heard in a long time.

Petunia nodded in agreement to indicate that she was also looking forward to the time when she will be waking up next to Shawn and seeing his face in her first waking moment. Of course right now it was unseemly for her to spend too much time contemplating the things that they will be doing after they were married. "My night was well as well," she replied, "I slept so comfortably, in fact, that when I woke up, for a brief moment I felt as if I was in my bed at home." That feeling had less to do with physical comfort, and more to do with a sense of belonging that she had felt, knowing that soon this will be her home. Petunia's stomach growled noisily just then, which made her blush a little and remark, "Well, it seems that breakfast is our first order of business."

During her brief visit to this part of the world, Meelu was becoming somewhat fond of the local cuisine. At the moment she was eating breakfast with Titus, her mother, and Titus' mother. Meelu was assuming that whatever negotiations that had been going on between her mother and Titus' mother had been concluded, although Meelu and Titus had yet to be informed of the results. Perhaps the two mothers were waiting for an appropriate moment to make a formal announcement. Meelu was also assuming that the negotiations had been a success, which could mean that the two mothers had settled on a suitable arrangement for Titus and Meelu's marriage. That assumption came from the fact that Titus' mother had taken on the subservient attitude of one who was seeking the approval of an obvious superior, while Meelu's mother listened as Titus' mother prattled on and on about trivial things with the well-practiced patient indulgence that the empress reserved for her annoying underlings. Meelu motioned to the waiting servant to indicate that she would like some more bacon to eat. Pork dishes were fairly common in Qwe'eba, although pigs were considered to be a lesser animal, and so fewer pork dishes were served in the Imperial Palace than were poultry dishes and beef dishes, in that order. Meelu had often heard of a land south and west of Qwe'eba where the people supposedly worshiped animals, and therefore did not eat animals. Of the many pork dishes in Qwe'eba, there was nothing quite like bacon, and already Meelu had sent one of her mother's servants to inquire about how bacon was produced, so that she might continue to enjoy it on occasion after her return to Qwe'eba. Speaking to Titus, Meelu said, "Since you were kind enough to tell me some of your country's history, perhaps I may tell you some of Qwe'eba's history as we are out and about today."

William nodded in understanding and said, "I really hadn't known that was your first name. Millicent is a good name for royalty." He could have said that Millicent was a good name for a queen, but he chose not to to. Since Wallace was the heir to the throne, William and Milly will only be a prince and princess, respectively, and there was no point in bringing that up. The important thing was that they had each other. "There are a couple other things about you that I would like to know," he went on to say, "Which I can now find out now that we are married," He paused to give Milly an impish grin before adding, "Such as, just how ticklish are you?"
