Jade Curtiss / Sheena Fujibayashi
The Necromancer | The Chief of Mizuho
══════════════════════════
Location: Tower of Mana Ruins | Company: Krystal, Pascal

Jade raised his brows in slight intrigue at Pascal's question. "Interesting that your world uses the term 'artes' too. If Cryas is the energy that you draw from to perform artes, then in that sense, Fonic Artes and Cryas Artes could be similar."

While listening to Pascal's account of landing in this world and Krystal's comments on it, Sheena's brow furrowed in confusion as she stared straight ahead.

Now she felt like talking again. Standing back up, she faced the Amarcian girl. "Wait a minute, something doesn't add up. So, Pascal, both you and your shuttle went through a portal that sucked you into this world, and yet when you came to after the transition, you woke up in some room in Luin?"

"That is strange," Jade cut in, "but it could be that the energies involved with the portal were able to teleport her separately. That still begs the question of where the shuttle is now, though."

Sheena scratched her head. "Yeah...the shuttle must something pretty big to make a loud noise when it crash-lands, right? If I haven't received news of such a thing by now, it's probably landed somewhere like an open field far enough from any cities that no one has seen or heard such a thing yet."

Location: Sybak | Company: Someone from here? I think? Also someone decidedly...not. (Kratos and Azura.)

Rhone crosses his arms as Azura and Kratos begin walking off, Temmie moving over to Solaire's shoulder and wrapping herself around his neck like a scarf before falling asleep.

"I don't like this."
"Shouldn't we make sure our friend is alright?"
"Yeah. Something's definitely off...but yeah."

Rhone's ears twitch and he glances to the side before sighing and walking with Solaire behind Azura and Kratos,.

"Hey. Solaire. Don't look, but we're being followed."
"Should we-"
"No, I recognize one of them. He hasn't met me, but I certainly know who he is. They're probably not a threat, let's just see where this goes..."

Zelos Wilder
══════════════════════════
Location: Meltokio | Company: No one yet.

Zelos emerges from Meltokio palace muttering to himself. The king didn't have any information on what was happening with the world and even his informants gave little clarity to the situation.

"Man, people hardly know what's going on in this city, I don't know what I expected to hear in there... Guess I'll have to figure things out myself."

As he wanders the streets, He spots a familiar face talking with two women he had never seen. He quickens his pace towards them as he loudly speaks to the group while giving a friendly wave.

"Emil! Hello! I see you brought a few friends with you. Are you showing my beautiful city to these otherworldly hunnies of yours?"

Pascal just smiled sheepishly at the blue vixen. "Well, technically, Ephinea is a moon of Fodra. But all the neat stuff is on Ephinea, Fodra isn't that fun."
She shook her head at Jade. "Not really. Cryas are the crystals that hold eleth, the stuff that powers the world, artes and-"
Her words were cut short by the ninja's. Following their train of thought, she deduced another posibility. "Well, that black blarfy stuff can transfer objects at stupidly-long distances, right? So it makes sense it can teleport things seperately, no matter what the size. But what it's bringing here is so random. Why bring people and things here? Does that black stuff have a reason taking us away from our worlds or it just bonkers?"

OOC: A satelite is a more technical term for a moon, since it's an objects in orbit around the planet. Sorry if that didn't transfer well.

Currently With: Zelos

Upon hearing a familiar voice addressing him, Emil glanced over to see Zelos approaching him and the women with a friendly wave. "Zelos! Hey!" Emil waved back with a smile. "We were actually looking for you, but you just made our search alot easier now."

Aeris gazed at the Tethe'allan Chosen for a moment with a curious look in her emerald green eyes. He seemed human, yet she could sense a different kind of aura to him. Almost like a holy type of aura, it seemed like. "So you're Emil's friend. I'm Aeris Gainsborough from a world called Gaia." She said with a friendly smile to him.

"I'm Rose from Endiness." Rose said with a slight nod as she introduced herself to Zelos. She could tell that there was more to this man than he looked. He was even able to tell that herself and Aeris were otherworlders.

"We actually just met Rose here just when you showed up actually." Emil said with a sheepish smile before he would then frown. "There were a few other otherworlder's I have met as well, but they seemed to have disappeared for some reason. Though I didn't exactly see what happened. I was speaking with Seles at the time."

Thinking about Sesshomaru and Rin had the female Ancient frown. "I was there when it happened actually. I don't know what caused it to happened, but...it was like they disappeared right before my eyes. Apparently the same thing happened with Rose's companions as well." She said. "We were hoping that perhaps you might be able to help us. Though how did you know that myself and Rose were otherworlders? Was it our outfits?"

Krystal listened with interest as Pascal explained about Ephinea being a moon of Fodra. "What exactly is in Fodra that it's considered 'not fun' in your book, if it's not too much to ask?" She asked. Was there tension between Fodra and Ephinea? She thought to herself before her ears perked up upon Sheena addressing the Amarcian. "That is strange indeed..." She murmured. Her gaze then shifted over to Jade when he spoke up. Where was the shuttle now? "If anything...it may have appeared in the sky when the portal teleported it here in Aselia. If so, a few people may have at least seen its descent to where ever it crashed at. For Pascal's sake, let's hope that it didn't crash into the sea instead of land. That or hopefully it didn't disappear like what happened to Maka and the others if we were to find its location."

Her ears then twitched upon listening to Pascal before she glanced over to the Amarcian. "Why indeed. Sounds to me that whatever is drawing otherworlders here might be more of out of control than anything. If there was an actual reason to bring people and things from other worlds, then why draw those from the same worlds in separate locations from each other? Wouldn't it make sense to have otherworlders arrive in the same location?"

Hiei
Wielder of the Dragon
══════════════════════════

Location: Sybak
Currently With: Genis

As Hiei walked with Genis toward the northern gate, he listened to Genis as he explained what effects the shadows on him and his sister. Yet the boy's only guess that it was more than likely that the shadows would affect the three-eyed demon like anyone else, especially since Aselia had never encountered demons that weren't affected by mana before. Hiei would have to find out for himself if Genis' guess was right or not.

Once in the city, he saw that the streets were rather busy, but tried not to bump into anyone as he weaved around them while following Genis. As they finally arrived at the southern gate, he then spotted the other group as the two had just caught the tail end of the conversation through a communicator. It would seem that they were also discussing what their next move was going to be. Hearing Genis' question, he nodded slightly. "Yes, that is them." Glancing over to the boy, he noticed how he had a suprised look just before hearing that he knew the red-haired human. "You look as though you've just seen a ghost. I assume that human is a friend of yours?" He glanced back at the other group to see that the blue-skinned female was breaking away from the others. It seemed as though something was affecting only her for the time being. Curious to where this was going to lead, he decided to join Genis with following after them.

Pascal wanted to tell her how Fodra was basically a dead planet, but the conversation had to go elsewhere. The Amarcian pondered this and pondered some more. What Krystal said had clarity to her - what's more her worldwide chase with Richard taught her that people had agendas when it comes to these sorts of things. Everything a person would do to make grand scale destruction had to be planned out. A person must plan, unless . . .
Then it dawned on her. "What if it wasn't someone, but something! The stuff making all the shadows, maybe it's an anomaly gone wild. That'll explain why it's going all goofy and teleporting things through time and space without necessity or need!"

Hearing Genis' question, he nodded slightly. "Yes, that is them." Glancing over to the boy, he noticed how he had a suprised look just before hearing that he knew the red-haired human. "You look as though you've just seen a ghost. I assume that human is a friend of yours?"

"Y-yeah, he is," Genis stuttered. "I'm just real surprised because about four years ago, he left this world to oversee the rehabilitation of a wandering planet. That's not something I'd expect anyone to come back from this soon!"

Hearing the boy and his acquaintance nearby, Kratos took a moment to glance over at him. "Genis," he uttered with a nod, a sign that he's acknowledged their presence.

"K-Kratos!" The young half-elf quickened his pace until he caught up and was walking alongside him. "What are you doing here?"

"I can explain that later. I'm keeping a close eye on Azura here; something seems to be disturbing her greatly."

"I figured, I saw her kinda rushing off when I spotted you. What's wrong?"

"She claims to be hearing some kind of screeching noise, and judging by her reaction it even seems to be paining her. I have my own enhanced sense of hearing enabled, and yet I hear no such thing."

In his mind, Genis counted out the possibility that this was more a problem within herself since she seemed mostly sane. What with the things happening in the world these days, it wouldn't surprise him if there really was some kind of external source doing this to her. "Huh. That sounds an awful lot like auditory hallucination to me. So she's looking for a source, I bet?"

"Correct."

The conversation ended there for a bit. As the now combined group made their way through the streets, the crowds seemed to part in apprehension at the sight of the strange girl leading them. Her blue skin made her look like a walking corpse in their eyes...and perhaps they were seeing something else in her face at their angle that the group behind her couldn't.

Genis thought there was kind of a longer walk ahead of them. He was intending to ask who Kratos' new acquaintances were as well as introduce Hiei, but now Azura's movements were becoming noticeably unsteady, as if a sense of vertigo were starting to overcome her. Her vision was also starting to look fuzzy, like television snow were superimposed on the scenery around her. Despite that, she could feel a "pull" in the right direction based on how intense her symptoms were getting.

A few moments later, she stumbled and fell face down under the arch of the cemetery gates with a frustrated grunt of pain. Alarmed, Kratos and Genis rushed over to help her up to her feet. She kept her head in a heavy bow, and yet she bolted forward with determination after they got her upright. The din in her mind was now being accompanied by...not exactly whispers, but a jumble of distant-sounding voices.

"Azura, wait!" the former called out. But she couldn't hear him, or anything else anymore. The noises in her head blocked out external sounds completely.

"K-Kratos..." the latter looked and pointed down upon the ground where she fell with a distraught expression.

Where her face had landed, there was a spot of blood.

Growing even more alarmed, the seraph dashed after her, the young mage following suit. Thankfully, it didn't take too long to find her. She was standing unsteadily before a tombstone in one of the central plots, glaring at it. It could clearly be seen now that blood was trickling from almost every opening of her head—her eyes, her ears, and her nose. So much of it had flowed that her cravat was starting to soak it up.

Blurried vision aside, the tombstone was somehow the clearest object in Azura's sight. Clear enough that she could read the inscription and see the masterfully drawn faces in the little built-in picture frame.

There were names and faces that she recognized.

She uttered weakly and shakily as she read the inscription, "H-here Lies...A Testament...to the Transcendence of Differences...Lucrezia...and Reginald..." But to her eyes (and her eyes only) the surname was constantly flickering like it were glitching out. Her instinct somehow tacked on the conclusion that it was her own surname. "Th-this...this can't be real...my m-mother and father...they're...still alive..."

The screeching in her mind ceased, but now the voices were increasing in volume. They were accompanying visions that were now bombarding her mind's eye, each one feeling like a blow to her head. She clutched her head in both her hands, twitching at each invisible strike, trying to restrain an outburst of a reaction while she bled increasingly profusely. But in a few moments she was overwhelmed; she couldn't help but throw her head back to let out a loud, pained cry.

"EEEEEYYAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!!!"

Azura began to stumble backward. Kratos caught her before she could hit the ground and cradled her in his arms. She curled up and began shivering violently, continuing to bleed from her head.

"Genis, go get your sister. We should meet at the infirmary," he commanded urgently.

The little mage nodded promptly in reply. "I'm on it!" He ran off as fast as he could toward the library, leaving Hiei with the rest of the group.

From here, Kratos was now taking the lead, starting a hurried pace toward the next meeting place.

Jade Curtiss / Zaul Oleander / Sheena Fujibayashi
The Necromancer | The One-Eyed Gunman | The Chief of Mizuho

Location: Tower of Mana Ruins | Company: Krystal, Pascal

Jade smirked and put a hand to his chin at Pascal's response to his earlier remark. Hm. So the energy source has a different name than the energy itself. That strikes me as a bit odd, but her world's techniques being coined as 'cryas artes' still makes sense. I wouldn't count out their possibility of being similar to fonic artes just yet. Seeing as the conversation was starting to drift elsewhere, however, he kept his thoughts to himself. It was something amusing to think about, but it held little relevance to the subject at hand anyway.

Continuing with the train of thought regarding the shuttle, Sheena added, "Hmm. I gotta admit, I was doubting the idea at first because I'd think I would be noticing something in the sky myself earlier...but since Pascal did get separated from her shuttle, maybe it appeared somewhere on the other side of the world somehow. I'll ask my field agents about it when I can.

And that's a fair point. There's no organization to all the otherworlders appearing at all. We can count out that there's a will behind all this, but...I'm not entirely sure it's the shadows themselves causing the portals. Maybe it's just because this world will be in a state of dimensional damage for a while yet. It just came back together after being split in two about four years ago, after all."

There was a silent pause in which Sheena brought a hand to her chin and looked thoughtful. The words "anomaly gone wild" were really sticking with her for some reason. Then her eyes widened in surprise when something dawned on her. "Wait a minute. The Ginnungagap..." she uttered under her breath.

Jade was able to catch that. "I beg your pardon, Sheena?"

It was at this point that Zaul made his reappearance with some bags of food in hand. He had also heard Sheena's last remark. "Howdy, y'all! I managed ta find enough ta whip up some cream stew fer us all. But I got a feelin' I made it just in time fer th' meaty part of this conversation y'all were havin'. Please do go on first, Sheena. I'm interested." He set down the bags to cross his arms.

The ninja chief faced toward Jade and Zaul. "Okay, it hadn't turned up in our earlier conversation because it...actually slipped my mind with all the commotion. sweatdrop

Anyway, the Otherworldly Gate is also an access point for a place called the Ginnungagap, where the sealed door to the demon realm of Niflheim is. The shadows are a force that oppose mana...filled with evil influence...I guess that must be what the true air of Niflheim is like.

What I'm getting at is that I'm starting to think these shadows are Niflheim leaking out...somehow. I can't even begin to imagine how. And it's affecting the Ginnungagap, which is situated at, well, the Otherworldly Gate. A place of dimension-crossing powers. That might be the anomaly gone wild that Pascal's getting at."

Jade nodded in understanding at Sheena's explanation. "That's a sound theory, but may I ask why access into a demon realm even exists in the first place?"

Zaul smirked, a bit smug that he had the knowledge to answer. "Ah yeah, this one I can explain. I've read some books on th' subject. In th' beginnin', this world was a planet devoid of mana-based life, n' it was connected ta Niflheim. That started ta change when th' comet-planet of Derris-Kharlan began passin' by. The mana that it passed upon th' world not only made life begin, it also poisoned and drove th' demons back into their realm. They'd be sealed away when the res'dents o' Derris-Kharlan decided ta permanently move into Aselia, transplantin' the Great Tree that was their fountain of mana."

The Colonel made a faint smile of intrigue at the revelation. "Ah. It becomes all the more understandable why the demon realm would want to lash out—they seek to reclaim what they believe is theirs."

Sheena cocked an eyebrow at the one-eyed gunman, crossing her arms. "I'm kinda surprised you know that much, Zaul. The existence of Derris-Kharlan isn't exactly common knowledge. Where did you find these books?"

He smiled sheepishly, maybe even a bit nervously, feeling like Sheena's gaze was a look of suspicion. He wasn't entirely lying about learning that from books, but...he now had to make a little white lie about the source... "Uh, well...Sybak. It's the city 'f researchers, so fer some reason 'r another, they could've gotten some volumes 'bout th' world's true history from Heimdall, right?"

In turn, she started to feel a bit embarrassed. She doesn't have the mental fortitude to check every book in Sybak, so that sounded like it made a lot of sense to her. "Oh...right. Completely slipped my mind that that could've been the case." sweatdrop

"Well that's cause it's hard ta think straight all th' time on an empty stomach!" Zaul joked with a grin. "I better git started on that cream stew."

Krystal listened to the conversation until Sheena brought up the Ginnungagap. She was curious as to what it was as well. Zaul had also managed to rejoin them with a bag of food. "Stew sounds great about now." She said with a nod before her attention shifted back to Sheena as the ninja chief explained about the Ginnugagap and about Niflheim. So these shadows may actually be Niflheim leaking out from the seal within the Ginnugagap. Her gaze then shifted to Zaul as he spoke about how Aselia used to be a planet devoid of mana-based life prior to the arrival of Derris-Kharlan and its inhabitant moving into Aselia. "So to put it simply, Niflheim is taking their chance to strike while Aselia's currently in a state of recovering after becoming one again. Could it be that perhaps the seal might've weakened after Aselia was reunited?"

The blue vixen then caught notice of how Sheena seemed suspicious toward Zaul from his knowledge about Derris-Kharlan. From reading his thought pattern, she could tell that the one-eyed male was lying as to where he gained these sources from. However, she decided not to say anything, but the fact about Derris-Kharlan's existance being secret did pique her interest. "Pardon my curiosity, Sheena...." She said as she gazed back to the ninja chief. "But why is the existance of Derris-Kharlan kept secret, especially if it played such a huge role in your world's history? Also...how and why was Aselia split in two to begin with?"

While she listened intently to the others, Pascal's mind began to race with wonder about this strange world she was on. A gate that lead to a realm filled with demons, a comet-planet that can travel through space, a world split into two and formed into one and a Great Tree that hosts unbelievable power. What's more, all of this information was in a town full of researchers. It almost reminded her of her hometown in Fendel and the Library of Knowledge.
She squeed in excitement. Omigosh! I gotta go to this Sybak place! Sounds like my kinda town!

Rhone shakes his head at the display in front of him before looking over to Solaire, noticing Temmie oddly absent from his shoulders.

"I'm going on ahead. I'll see you at the infirmary."
"But-"

Solaire's words are cut off by Rhone unfurling his wings and dashing forward towards Kratos.

"...I don't know how to get there..."

Once caught up, Rhone flies beside Kratos and stares at him with an exasperated expression.

"Your friend's bleeding out of her head and you're really gonna just run there? You have wings! USE THEM!"

He raises into the air a bit and picks up speed.

"I'll make sure the path is clear, LET'S GO!"

Temmie, at some point, had managed to latch herself onto the back of Genis' shirt, her near weightlessness making her difficult to detect. She would stay quiet for now, content to see where the young mage was going.

Solaire, however, would turn towards Hiei and shake his head.

Hiei
Wielder of the Dragon
══════════════════════════

Location: Sybak
Currently With: Genis, Kratos, Azura, Rhone, Solaire

"Left this world?" Hiei asked. So Genis' human friend was of Aselia yet had left this world for another. A wandering world at that. The thought of such a world existing sounded odd in his mind, yet it had him slightly curious as to why a human would want to leave his own world behind. Afterall, there are beings out there that don't take humans very kindly. Especially not demons as they see humans as not only inferior creatures, but as prey as well. Humans are difficult to understand at times. "It's more than likely that your friend there..." He shift his gaze to Kratos as he spoke to Genis. "...may have arrived here in the same matter I have, which I can also assume the same could be said about his blue companion and the one in the armor."

As they caught up with the red-haired seraphim, Hiei kept silent for a moment as he listened to the conversation between Genis and Kratos regarding the blue woman's condition. The Jagan Eye began glowing behind his headband. If there was someone or something nearby that was causing her condition, he was hoping to find it quickly. As he, Kratos, and Genis followed after Azura, the three-eyed demon kept his pace to match with the other two males. He would have surely left them in the dust if he had went his actual speed. He then watched the events that unfolded after finding Azura standing before a tombstone. "...." Hiei remained silent, even after Genis left him behind with Kratos and the others.

Hiei had watched as the red-haired seraphim took off with the unconscious Azura along with the dark-skinned male following. Did he just say that human had wings? Perhaps the human had some form of spiritual power that allows him to fly. It was then his attention had shifted to the being in the armor. "No, I don't, but I can see where the human and the one with the dark skin is going." He said before he would take off to follow after Kratos and Rhone, yet kept his pace in a manner where Solaire could easily follow him. "If you don't wish to get left behind, you better keep up."

Kratos paid no mind at Rhone's retort. If there were room to explain, he would say that an Angel sighting would draw more attention and impediment than he was willing to deal with. Who knows what underground organization might still be seeking out Cruxis Crystals.

And it wasn't as if people were so dense and discourteous anyway. As he ran into the streets, the urgency of his motions caught enough attention for people to move and make way on their own common sense. He didn't have too much trouble making his way toward the infirmary.

Indeed, his mind was so pervaded by that feeling that he didn't notice the puppy-like creature that had latched onto him at all. There were a few close calls, but he fortunately didn't create any accidents in his rush.

Raine was about to answer Tear's questions when her younger brother virtually burst into scene and skidded to a halt before them. Before he could speak, he needed to catch his breath; he slumped over and hyperventilated as he gripped his slightly bent knees. Raine noticed Temmie standing on her brother's back...in an odd manner and without falling off, as if he himself were a center of gravity...she felt the urge to address that, but judging by Genis' behavior, there seemed to be a more pressing matter at hand.

"...Genis? What's the matter?" she questioned, giving him a look of concern.

*gasp* *pant* "It's...it's Kratos! His friend--"

"Kratos? You...he's here??" Raine was clearly surprised that man would be turning up around here so soon. Derris-Kharlan was far, far away from Aselia after all...but she speculated that the same dimensional anomaly bringing in people of other worlds must have affected him too.

"Yeah...yeah he is...but...but his friend's in danger! I don't understand what happened...she was complaining about a painful noise that no one else was hearing...and for some reason she felt that it was coming from a gravestone in the cemetery...and then it seemed like she started getting a splitting headache so bad that she's bleeding from almost every orifice in her head! She needs healing, stat! Kratos has taken her to the infirmary!"

Raine nodded in agreement, but before she would follow behind her brother, she turned to address the melodist from Auldrant. "I'm sorry to end our discussion so abruptly and open-ended, Tear, but it appears someone's life is on the line. However, haven't you said you can use healing artes? You can come along if you wish—I might even need your help."

As she went on to join her brother, she figured it was now the right opportunity to address the elephant (or puppy-cat...thing) in the figurative room. "By the way, Genis, what is that creature on your back?"

The young mage did a double-take and made a weirded-out expression. "Creature? What creature?"

"There appears to be some sort of...puppy standing there. Yes, standing."

"What? When the heck did..." With one hand, he reached behind him and managed to feel one of its long, floppy ears. "I, uh...don't know what it is yet, but it was traveling with Kratos..."

Down at the infirmary, Kratos was able to get Azura into a room and bed with little trouble. Apparently he was kind of a familiar enough face in Sybak.

Azura lay in the bed all sprawled out, her excessive bleeding having rendered her anemic and too feeble to keep herself curled up. Her longcoat and bloodied cravat hung on a standing rack near the bedside. She still shivered and grimaced at her continuing pain.

While Kratos waited for Raine to arrive, he tried casting and prolonging a Healing Stream nearly down to the last of his magical energy reserves, and while it had slowed down the bleeding some, it only would for a couple of minutes.

With not much else he could do to help, he resorted to assisting the nurses that constantly tended to Azura and switched out the towels that absorbed her blood. She had bled so much that the medical staff thought she should already be dying. Unbeknownst to them was Azura's accelerated healing, which was a factor in keeping that at bay, yet not fast enough to close up whatever strange internal hemorrhaging was going on inside her head.

"...So you really are back, Kratos," said Raine as she finally stepped into the scene along with Genis, "And with a new friend, I hear?" A quick glance around and she saw a few more unfamiliar faces around with appearances that sparked a curiosity in her, but first things first.

The seraph gestured over to the bed. "My Healing Stream was't enough, as you can see. She definitely needs something more potent."

"Goodness, she already has the pallor of a corpse!"

"...Blue is her natural skin color, but indeed, she's paler than she normally is."
