The yards and gardens of the two-legs range from cleanly to trashy, and neat to overly decorated. In the yards, gardens, and along the fence posts are where the cats are when they are socializing with each other.
Wild cats should be wary, some kittypets make fearsome fighters, and twolegs might just snatch them up.

Lotus sprawled out on the lawn of her two-leg's nest, her bright blue collar nestled comfortably against her neck. It was one of the many new additions her two-leg had recently added. Another was the small 'smooth boulder thing' he had bought her, it rang a quite pleasant sound every time she batted at it. The she-cat certainly was content, basking in the weak sunlight. It was getting colder and days like this she certainly was grateful for having a warm nest to sleep in. Drowsily she began to clean herself, slowly licking her forepaw before she yawned. Yes, this was certainly the life. Especially since she was now able to explore around at night.
Petal ran along the top of the fences as she dashed toward her home. Her broken bell swug without a sound as she ran past Lotus' yard, stopping to give a friendly flick of her tail before dashing through the flap in the door.
After a few moment's the calico's house was filled with a clatter and her housefolk laughing at something. Their laughter stopped as they followed her outside as she bolted up into the fence clumsily. Her jaws contained a container or red powder known to bother cats and a container that her housefolk used to hold honey. Petal padded back across the fence and flicked at ear at Lotus as she leaped off and disappeared.

Petal leaped onto her fence. She paused for a moment to look for Thunder, before yowling for her housefolk and leaping into the yard. "When they come out just act friendly, try to meow a bit, make sure you make it obvious you need help." she instructed, pacing the yard and throwing up another yowl from time to time until she saw a light outside turn on and the door open.
