"As.. Intense and intriguing as this sounds.. I cannot help but ponder why someone such as yourself would choose to dedicate yourself with someone who seems like such a cruel being. The name "Defiler".. It even seems to imply that he is not kind, I take it? Merciful towards you, perhaps, but.. Still. It is as if he is a god to you. But as the saying goes, what is a god to a nonbeliever.." Gunter trailed off for a moment, not doubting the immensity of the universe they lived in, or the belief that Warslik had in his demon or daemon or what not, only pondering some sort of explanation behind some beings.

"I can imagine you as a powerful man one day, being able to make even your own gods cringe before you." Not sure if saying such things would get the redhead in trouble, Gunter turned his thoughts back to Warslik's question, smiling as he went over the best way to answer it.

"Science.. It isn't magic. It's more of.. More of Logic. Yet that in itself is Magic, I suppose. It can mean so many things, but in the most simplistic definition, it is the systematic study of the physical and natural world around us, through experimentation and observation. It is why we know what causes rain to fall, or how we know how many stars are in the sky. It is how we can figure out how we grow our own food, or learn how to combine food into something more spectacular. Because even the most gourmet of meals began as a simple experiment. Even that sudden spark between you and I upon our first meeting is science in the work. Interpersonal chemistry, I would call it, and I'd love to explore it further."

"Yes, one day I will walk the twisted halls of the Courts of Chaos, gaze deep into the Logrus and bend all that is and every will be to mine will. Then I shall craft a universe of mine own will and rule it as a benign and benevolent god, loved by all," Warslik said, nearly spitting with bitterness with each word.

"Mine power is insignificant and feeble compared to that of mine brother Saul - whom is half the reason I am here. Mayhaps more than half. But I digress." He waved a hand and shook his head - not that Gunter could see it.

"Did I intimate that Aezeleth was kind? If I did then mine apologizes for he is far from that. While he is not the cruelest of the Princes I have knowledge of - he doth not suffer fools nor the weak. The more souls that follow him the stronger his army grows. He doth not suffer those who do not provide him more power. I was simply a means to his ends, even as he was to mine own. Give unto him mine soul or perish in the fires of his wrath - those were mine choices and I chose the better of the two. Such pragmatism is second nature to mine family." He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Thou art persistent and that begins to bore and vex me Gunter," Warslik groaned. "I doth not know how much more I have to tell thee that I hath no interest in thee further than friendship. Thy could elect to be mine vassal but I doubt that thee would submit to mine lordship."

He cackled at that. Let him call his bluff. If he accepted to becoming his vassal he'd be able to use and abuse the other boy and that would surely appease his need for revenge.

"I honestly cannot identify your words as sarcasm or not. But if you ask me, I don't think coming here due to someone else, or even giving up your soul is such a good idea. What becomes of you if you were to consider resisting? Would your Daemon Prince come and attack the school because of it? What if someone desired to rescue you from such a fate?" Did this.. Did this kid honestly think that he was one to submit to anyone else? Such a notion, such the mere flicker of a thought caused Gunter to allow himself to slip into a fit of laughter that echoed in the darkened room.

"You are correct, I could not simply serve you. As lovely as you are, I have no desire to become anyone's toy or pet. Just as you have your mission to serve your lord, I have my own. Though I would readily assist you when I can, to give you dominion over my personal being.. Well, that's not exactly how courting works in this modern world your family seems to have been avoiding." Sanding, he went back over to the door, feeling around until he reached the know, and pulled it open, letting the natural light from outside filter into the room, returning his sight, and finally illuminating the red-haired one who lingered on his bed.

"As friends then, I'll make you dinner. As friends, we'll enjoy a comfortable meal, and nothing more. Come on, the kitchen is off this way. I can't very well cook something in my room, can I?"

"To that, I can agree," Warslik said with a nod, standing slowly from the other boys bed and moving on into the kitchen. He slowly pulled the hood down from his head, allow his eyes to adjust to the change of light as best as they could. He would have much preferred the darkness to remain but that was not his call.

He did not make any mention to his words being sarcastic or not, not really in the mood and try to explain the necessity of living over being stabbed until he bleed to death.

But hey, free food - he wouldn't complain... At least directly to Gunter.
