Gareth began to snicker. "My, my, Izzy. You sure do attract the wrong kind of attention." He said, his face turning from the smiling to cold seriousness. He pulled out his combat knife and looked at the blade, seeing his reflection in it. "Do you know how many people I've killed, Gary?" He asked, not looking at him, but rather at the knife. He seemed like he was examining it, but in reality he had looked over the thing a million times before coming into town. It was polished, cleaned, and whetted so finely he could shave with it.

Izzy was about to reply, but the next comment took her aback.
Gary, too, was stunned. He took a step back and said sarcastically, "Oh, dozens."
This guy can't be serious. If he thinks flicking out a knife is gonna scare me away... Well... i-it is kinda sharp...

Gareth slowly turned it around to the reverse-grip. His smiled at Gary and took a step forward. "Oh, better believe it's sharp, and I HAVE killed dozens. You have to when you're in the middle of a Thrakton war. You know who the Thrakton are... right, Gary?" He asked, taking another step forward.

Izzy rolled her eyes, bracing herself for what was to come next.
Gary had one defense in which he was spectacular at: lying. He did it whenever he felt threatened, and he definitely felt uncomfortable with this stranger threatening him.
"Of course I do!" Gary answered, smiling defiantly. He laughed and said matter-of-factly, "In fact, I've fought some. At least twice as much as you have. Beat 'em all myself. Sent them running back to... to... wherever they came from. None have bothered me since. Even saved Izzy from some."
"Liar!"
"You passed out!"

((kinda waiting on Haven to post but other than that I'm fine.))

Shelia jumped off the roof and landed on the ground. "I'm going to head out for a bit...see what kinda of trouble i can find." She then runs off heading into the city. Roman sighs and heads back in. "I should make her get a place of her own..."

((If it wouldn't be completely farfetched, and far too convenient, then I would be tempted to have Thro-Gar Priit show up. But nah. This is your moment.))

((Also, by damn, where the hell is my Character Bio for Thro-Gar?! I can't find it...? Oh well. I can just recreate it I guess.))

((Also, in retrospect, I'm changing his name. Thro-gar sounds like a caveman name... I don't know why I chose it to begin with. Priit will stay. But I need a new first name. The old was crap. Any ideas?))

((Something along the lines of a Khajiit or orcish name, I'd suggest. Something about names with apostrophes in them make it sound foreign and exotic, and the Torran are, at the very least, just that. As for having him show up, I leave that in your hands to decide, as well as any correlations he may have with my characters. Happy hunting.))

Gareth rolled his eyes at the boy, and took a step forward. He could feel the unease with this boy; a sort of sixth sense that everyone had. He could tell as easily as Izzy and Gary himself that he was clearly winning this battle of wills. "That's funny. You act like a Torran - claiming what you want as your own and fighting anyone who objects... but I doubt you'd last a day amongst real men, Gary." He held his knife up at his side and turned his body, posing himself to strike. He took another step toward Gary, flicking his cigarette to the side, his face cold and serious. "I bet I could kill you right now, and nobody would care."

Gary tensed; he needed a way out, fast. But how could he chicken out in style?
He rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Whatever, man," he said, starting to walk away. He turned to Izzy and said, "Call me later, baby."
"Whatever."
"Love ya!"
He quickly made his exit, making sure that no one whom he respected had seen him run off in such a hurry.

Izzy's attitude changed back to its child-like state. "Thank you so much!" she said to Gareth, hugging him and being careful to avoid his blade.

((As tempting as it is to have him show up, nah. Besides, the opportunity has passed. I'll think on some names too.))

Gareth reached his arm around Izzy, sheathing his knife into place in the process before wrapping his arms around her. "Anytime, Sweetheart." he said with a smile. He then thought back to before Gary showed up. What were we talking about again> Her mother. Right, her mother! He looked back to Izzy. "So, what is this about your mother's wishes or something?"

At the mention of the word "mother," Izzy's muscles tightened, and her child-like facade quickly wore thin. She pulled away from Gareth and said with fake confidence, "Oh, y-you got that? Well, my mom passed away a-after I was born. My parents were working on a new invention- their life's work- that was supposed to be a huge success. M-Mama never gets to see that it's finished herself... so... Papa's gonna keep trying on... on her behalf. Once it works, Papa's gonna patent and sell it, and we'll be able to afford a new home."
She sighed and looked at the ground, digging a small hole with her heel. She looked back up and smiled, quickly feigning pride. "But I'm so happy where I am, I don't know if I ever wanna leave here!" she cheered with a grin.

Frost gasped when they impacted, tumbling backwards onto her butt. Angel helped her up, as Spade came out of the crystal fragment on Frost's collar. "What is wrong with you?! Royalty is standing right in front of you and you just knock her down?!"

"Spade, stop it. Don't pick on the poor thing..." Angel murmured, glaring at her demonic sister.

Frost, now back on her feet, dusted off her dress, her guardians floating on either side of her. "No, no! Don't be sorry! It's partially my fault as well!"

Haven looked up at the sky, sighing before standing up. "No use in sitting around all way..." Plugging her earphones in both of her ears, and carrying a small journal, she headed into town to try and recover more memories about her past.

Jaybomb looked at little surprised at seeing two spirits pop out. "Royalty..wow..i didnt know..ummm s-orry though its entirely my fault I'm new to town and was looking around for a place or a dark allyway to stay at for a while." He looks away blushing. She is beautiful...but i have no chance with someone like her...not only she is royalty but there is also a matter of "him" to deal with and I don't want her to know about him or get hurt.

Frost tilted her head, her ear twitching. "Oh?" She smiled. "You can stay at my house!"
