ENCOUNTER Ended

In response to Marcus being taken out, it would seem that his fall would
rally each of the tamers to his aid as well as send their digimon in an all out attack against them. All of the KnightChessmon would fall at the hands of rather angry rookie level digimon and the strabimon would be knocked off their horses. The first of the strabimon would fall to Veemon and the last one would be made ever the weak by being caught in the Dracomon's blast of draconic energy.

Heavily injured, despite his acrobatic skill, the Strabimon would try and crawl away from the digimon before turning to see a SnowAgumon, two Veemon, and a Dracomon. "Heh... why didn't we ask politely... I could have sworn we did or maybe you all have been made deaf to our pleas from your continuous acts of violence against yourselves and us digimon...." The strabimon would chuckle and look at the digimon and then passed them towards the humans that were digging out on of their partner. It would then look back to the digimon "Heh... you all will be punished for turning against your god. FOR YGGDRASIL!" The warrior's hand would glow brightly as he then drove it into his own chest in an act of hari-kari since he had failed to stop the humans and their digimon pets.

I Will Fight


Nicholas would look at the Strabimon as he came to him and said some words which ended up bothering him. The Strabimon then killed himself and Nicholas just blinked. He then shook his head and then went to the other side of the giant rock. He then helped Kazu carry the bigger rock off of Marcus. After it was off he then sighed and shook his head. He then said, "What a strange bunch. So anyone know what they meant by spawn of Lucemon? Wasn't Lucemon the demon lord that was sealed by the Ancient Warriors all those years ago? And who is this Yggdrasil that the Strabimon was talking about before he killed himself?". Nicholas was full of questions at this very moment even though it probably wasn't the best of times.

Blitz would simple facepalm when the Strabimon said what it said. He murmured to himself quietly, "You attacked us first.". He then saw the Strabimon kill itself after it said something about Yggdrasil. He then heard Nicholas start asking questions and wondered as well what they meant by Spawns of Lucemon. He sighed and then walked over to Nicholas and just stood next to him.

With Nick's help, Kazu had the large rock off of Marcus in no-time. He glanced across to where the Rookies were staring down the last Digimon. The Strabimon would make his final words before committing suicide before them all. Kazu just stared coldly into the fading data as it evaporated. "Yggdrasil can suck it." Kazu would sigh and go back to check on Marcus, aside from the fairly serious impact of the rock he seemed to have a painful burn on one of his arms. Kazu took off his jacket and in one powerful tug he tore off one of his red sleeves, bending down he wrapped it around Marcus' arm and tied it securely. "Not the most hygienic thing but it's better then letting you bleed out."

Veemon would trot over and c**k his head to one side, looking at the fallen Dark Tamer. "Why are you helping him Kazu? He killed you... Not to ention he's still after your Digi-Soul..." Kazu, pulled his jacket back on and spat into a corner. "I owe him... Back in the War of Memories." Veemon physically flinched remembering the War. It had torn the Digital World asunder, literally. "It was early on, in the forest. The Knights and Spirits versus TyrantKabuterimon. At this point you could only reach Ex-Veemon." Kazu took a moment to pause, remembering how futile his efforts at the beginning of the War had been. "The Memory Guardian unleashed a shock-wave, uprooting trees and striking everyone down. You were in the air, but I wasn't so lucky. A tree slammed into me, crushing me to the floor." Kazu's eyes shut as he remembered the pressure of the tree pressing on his ribcage, the lack of air in his lungs, the blood filling his mouth. "He arrived, faster then anything I could imagine. Marcus. He lifted up the tree and pulled me out, saving my life." Kazu opened his eyes once more, looking into the Dark Tamer's motionless face. "If I leave him here my debt is unpaid. We may be enemies, he may have killed me once before... But if it weren't for him I would never have made it this far. Both because he pulled me from that tree, and because he forces me to get stronger..." Veemon would nod, he didn't fully understand but if it was a good enough reason for Kazu, it was good enough for him.

Kazu and Veemon would remain silent for a few minutes before Nick spoke up, asking about Lucemon and Yggdrasil. Kazu sighed, he crouched down and hooked Marcus' arm over his shoulders, hoiking him up and onto his back, piggy-back style. "The Lucemon story is a long one. But to make it real simple, Marcus here has some kind of arrangement with the fellow." Kazu began to set off towards the exit once more, "As for Yggdrasil... He's the guy in charge of everything in the Digital World. The creator, deleter and everything in between. If what that Strabimon was saying is true then... We're in very hot water." Kazu's mind flashed back to when Marcus killed him and he met with the reigning lord of the Digital World, and the warning he had been given. "The world is out of balance. And he's trying to see to it that everything returns to Zero..." While Kazu spoke, Veemon motioned to the SnowAgumon. "You gonna be ok? You don't mind Kazu helping out do you?"

Dawn winced as he seen the rookie take it's life." Life must've really had been a bummer for him." Dawn scratched the back of his neck. He then seen Kazu and Nicholas getting Marcus from under some debris. Dawn decided to go help.

Draco had also seen the Starbimon take its life. He turned away from it not wanting to see him disappear into digital code. Draco then heathen little team he had heard what Dawn said and he smerked a bit. He then looked at the team he had and started to make mental notes.

Spoken just like a disciple of wrath and corruption. No wonder they picked you to be their prince of chaos... poetic.

Pain and pressure would screech throughout his body as Marcus slowly began to awake from his flashback of sorts. He would feel as if he were dead, but... he wasn't. Something or maybe someone was keeping him from being removed from the plain of existence, something wanted him to live on.

The pressure would slowly start to vanish as if some external force or forces were removing them from off his body, but the pain and aching would still continue on. His entire body was wracked with it, a feeling that he hadn't felt since before he learned he could use his digisoul as an aura to protect his body, but now... that gift was gone and the void was replaced with the reality of life... being a bad guy usually means a lot of pain. He would feel himself being lifted up, but wouldn't be able to respond with his usual "I don't need help" antics. It was almost as if he were comatized. Outside of the his mental monolouge that was decorated with many flashbacks to try and piece together why all of this was happening, life would continue on as normal... if one would consider this as normal.

"MARCUS, MARCUS!!!" Once all the enemies where vanquished, the dinosaur's rage would end and the realization that her tamer was not with her would come to the forefront. Dropping her axe with a rather audible thud, she would come running towards the tamers that were helping hers. "What... what happened?!" She would notice the rockslide and it would all make sense, she was raging and her tamer was on the verge of being squashed. All her muscles and fiery strength for naught. "Dammit." She would say as she watched the tamers help her tamer, her master, he... friend (?) and would smile. She would look towards Kazu and would shake her head before turning around. She would then be stopped by the boy's [Kazu's] Veemon and asked if she were alright. "I'm fine and I'm sure Marcus will be as well, but as for the digimon that caused this... I'm going to kill them." Her smile would vanish and she would walk to grab her axe. Slinging the massive Battle Axe of Ice and Passion over her shoulder, she would start walking ahead of the group.

ENCOUNTER Ended

With Marcus up and being taken care, the tamers would feel it best to probably move on before more trouble was to come. All shaken up in some form or another, one would wonder when the factor of fatigue would start to kick in.

Traveling further than the group, Snowagumon (and soon the others) would come to a fork in the road. Ahead would be three different pathways. The path to the left would feature and staircase that lead to the lower portion of the collossium and above the doorway would be a sign that said "Underground Passage for Challengers". The middle path would the be the most obvious one labeled by a decently sized EXIT sign in orange letters. Though the power would be out and the room dark, the sign would still be able to buzz with and slightly glow off the building's reserves. The right side would be a passage would be marked with a sign that said "Side A" one would be right to assume that it led to the other side of the building, where other tamers might be.

Left Path: leads to the underground passage where you can attempt to assist/save the tamers present
Middle path: Reaching your destination, you can exit to the main lobby and hopefully be done with this minor crisis of a much LARGER event.
Right Path: Leads to the A section of the collosseum where you can attempt to assist/save the tamers present.

I Will Fight


Nicholas would blink as they reached what seemed to be a fork after they had been running for the exit after defeating the KnightChessmon and Strabimon. He would read the signs and whistle. He then began to deeply thin on what should be done at this very moment. He thought for a bit and then sighed and turned to look at Kazu and Dawn. He then said, "I'm going to go on the right path. You two continue on straight.".

Blitz would smile when he heard what Nicholas said. He was suspecting this much since Nicholas always been the type to be an idiotic hero if it meant saving people. He whistled and walked up next to Nicholas with his longsword sheated and him holding the scabbard with the sword sheated in his left hand.

Nicholas would smile and then said, "You're probably thinking that its stupid to try and help the other people here but if there is a chance that we can save more people then I will definitely take it. From what it seems the right path leads to the second building where the other tamers were doing battles. I'll go and see if they need any help. You two should continue on towards the Exit. I think its for the best that the two of you go on your own especially since you have to save your friend over there and he needs as much protection as possible. Blitz and I can take care of ourselves and since the both of us don't have anything to keep us pinned down like you do Kazu.". Nicholas then thought a bit wondering if he should see their opinions first before he went. He then asked, "So what do you think? You two can just rest from the exit while I go and check up on the other Tamers. I think its for the best especially for Kazu since he can search for things that could help his friend out.". Nicholas waited for a response as he wondered what it was that they would all say.

Dawn had begun to follow Nicholas. They had reached a three way intersection Dawn was relieved to see the Exit sign. He wanted to get out as soon as possible. Dawn the heard Nic give his little speech. Dawn looked at his with squinted eyes." If going through one of these doors other then the exit means saving other lives, I'm sorry but I'd rather risk my life to save another."

Draco behind Dawn had heard Dawn say what he had to say. Draco agreed with his Tamer and just nodded. Draco wasn't on the mood to speak yet.

Veemon would grin at the SnowAgumon's response and smack a fist into his opposing palm. "You betcha!" the little Digimon was glad that he was surrounded by allies, the more that there were the better their chance was to survive. Kazu was still plodding along with Marcus on his back, he'd been quiet since picking up the Dark Tamer. Why was he helpin the guy who killed him? Was it really because of him saving him all those years ago? Or something more selfish. "By saving Marcus. Does this make me stronger then him? Am I only doing this to prove that I'm capable or... Can I not imagine a Digital World without Marcus..." that last thought caused a major jolt in Kazu's stomach. He shook his head, refusing to think about the matter any further as he came up on a split path.

After hearing both Nick and Dawn's ideas Kazu sighed. "Nick I respect your choice but think logically. We've seen the Tamers in this tournament. They can all hold their own, I know this, I've fought with loads of them before..." Kazu wanted to scratch the back of his head like he always did, but due to Marcus he couldn't. "If, and that's a BIG if, there are guys down there then having one extra guy to help them wouldn't be such a bad move." Veemon shifted uncomfortably at the suggestion, he didn't want their numbers to drop too much. "Nick, you seem pretty convinced, nothing I can say will change your mind. Dawn, you do what you need to do. As for me? I'm going towards the exit." Kazu would hoist Marcus up on his back and nod at the middle path. "Maybe I can find Lief and the others and figure out this mess. Plus I might get some downtime to deal with Marcus properly."

Veemon would look back to SnowAgumon and c**k his head to one side, "What do you think? Are you aright with leaving the others?" the dragonic Digimon was uneasy to say the least, but Kazu seemed pretty confident so why should he worry. "Ok. I'll go to the exit, Nick you're going right. Dawn, you do what you feel is right. I'll wait at the exit for another 20 minutes, after that I'm leaving whether you make it out or not. You guys understand?" Kazu's voice had taken a more serious tone, the gravity of the situation was beginning to sink in and it meant survival above all else. "After the 20 minutes I'm taking Marcus and making a hell-bent break for it. That's your window, you miss it then you'll have to catch up." Kazu would look around the group, it was time for goodbyes. Possibly only temporary, possibly forever...

Nicholas would look at Dawn when he suddenly spoke about wanting to save lives. Nicholas would sigh and shake his head. He then said to Dawn, "Seesh maybe I should have just left without saying anything. I'm pretty much just dragging one of us into a suicide mission. Let me just request but why don't you just stay with Kazu. He needs all the protection he can get especially a ranged support which unfortunately I can't provide since Veemon has a Close Quarters Combat fighting style. Anyways follow me if you want but I truly suggest that you stay here with Kazu.. He then heard Kazu speak and listened carefully. He sighed and then said, "I see. Well I'll be back before 20 minutes thats for sure after all, I have Blitz. He's the self dubbed Samurai Veemon Of Hell and his skills with his sword back up his claim. Anyways it was nice meeting to you but.....see ya.". Nicholas would then turn around and move to the right as Kazu went straight. He placed his hands in his pockets as he walked determined to help out the tamers who were at Arena A as much as he can.

Blitz would shake his head and then followed after Nicholas holding the scabbard in his hand. He wondered how long it has been since he had met Nicholas and the different things that had happened and how much he had changed whether it was due to events in the past or whether it was due to his amnesia. Walking next to Nicholas, Blitz would smile as he remembered the days of the past when he was with all his partners.

Void, the snowagumon, would look back at the three tamers with her axe resting on her shoulder. Her grip would tighten as she continued to list to what almost sound like bickering... about saving people. All of a sudden she realized why she liked Marcus so much. Rage building within her, she would wheel around and shoot a frigid ice ball at a nearby wall to show that she was quite capable of doing both close range and long range. "Are we seriously going on about this?! For the love of Yggdrassil, why don't you all go there, save who you can, and then come back. I'll watch over MY tamer...." She felt herself becoming a little irritated, if not envious, over how Kazu was hogging her tamer. Dragging him along like some helpless babe....

"You good-guy tamers are a rather weird bunch..." She would say with a sigh as she turned back to simply watching for any signs of movement from the three doorways.

ENCOUNTER Ended

Time would slowly tick away and it would seem as if the tamers were on the verge of bickering over what they should do. Nicholas and his Veemon had decided they would go to [A] side and then requested that the other stayed. On the other hand, Dawn and his Dracomon wanted to taste the greed success of being able to save one life and declined his ally's request. On the other other hand, Kazu and his Veemon were rather content with going straight for the exit in hopes of getting his other ally, Marcus, some help as well as simply getting out with what they had. He [Kazu] did, however, say that he would wait for a little while for the others to return.

In was in this decision that Nicholas then threw in so tidbits of logic based on what they'd seen about how Dawn and his Dracomon were they're only source of long range attacking and that it would help Kazu greatly to have him with them. This, in turn, caused some confusion on Dawn's part while also gaining so dislike from Marcus's Snowagumon as he made it quite clear that, though she was carrying an axe, she was also quite capable of fighting at a distance.

Is this their final decision? While Dawn give into reason and stay? Will Nicholas journey on the other side of the Colosseum by himself? Is Kazu developing feelings towards his rival and murderer?
Only a follow-up post will tell.

All the while, an audible roar like that of a large sized dragon can be easily heard echoing down the path of the exit sign

I Will Fight


As Nicholas walked closer and closer to the path leading to the other Colosseum he would hear a large roar coming from the direction of the exit path. Stopping in his tracks he turned around after hearing the roar. He blinked a bit as he thought that there was no more enemies to fight yet as if it was just waiting for them to separate a roar of a large digimon echoed from the exit path. He sighed wondering how messed up this was. Nicholas would then run back to the group and stop and asked, "You guys heard that right? I wasn't imagining a large roar coming from the exit path right?". Nicholas would point towards the exit path and then he sighed and then said, "You know maybe I'll stay with you guys since it seems that there is yet another enemy that we must defeat before the path is cleared. Well since there another enemy I won't split off since another reason why I thought about splitting off was that there were no more enemies in this path.". Nicholas then turned to look back at the path to the other Colosseum and sighed. He then looked back at the group and asked, "So should we go to another path and try to avoid this enemy for now or should we just go right ahead and try and kick its a**?"

Blitz would follow Nicholas and was about to say something when suddenly his whole body began to shine. He then vanished from the spot to be replaced by a mischievous Undead Digimon.

GranD would appear in the spot where Blitz used to be in and would smile. He then said, "Lets go and kick the digimon's a**. Were all powerful and no one can defeat us! After that we can raid the Yakisoba Bread Stand! YOSH!". GranD would raise his hands in the air as he jumped up. His Yakisoba Bread addiction was probably ruling his decisions.

Nicholas would blink on the site of the Undead Digimon. He facepalmed and then looked at his digivice. He wondered how his Dracmon had switched out without him having any say in the matter. He groaned and murmured to himself something which no one could hear. He then said, "Well GranD. Maybe you should have let Blitz answer first before you forcefully switched which I have no clue how you did. There was tension in the group. Dawn reluctantly agreed to follow Kazu while Nick headed off towards the other side of the Colosseum, SnowAgumon seemed pretty pissed off as well. Kazu sighed and began his trek towards the exit. "Let's get our arses in gear and move." Moving down the corridor with Veemon in tow and Marcus still out cold on his back the V-Tamer trudged onwards.

As they moved down the corridor an explosion of sound would hit Kazu. He tensed, ready to bolt to cover in an instant, Veemon leaping in front of his Tamer instinctively. "Just a roar?" Kazu nodded. Holding his ground for a few more seconds before moving forward once more. A shout from behind him caused him to p***k up his ears. Nick trotted down the corridor after him talking about how he couldn't leave the group to fight a tough sounding baddie by themselves. The V-Tamer sighed, it was indecisions like this that threw him off his stride. Kazu just nodded and kept walking, "Whatever. If there's a monster at the end of this Corridor then we'll just punch through it."

His mind set Kazu looked from Tamer to Tamer, Digimon to Digimon and kept on his path. It looked like he didn't have to wait for the rest of them now. But the roar was unsettling him. It was no longer just loud, it was consistent. His mind flashed between all the giant Digimon that existed in the Digital World that could make that noise. No possibility seemed appealing among the vast amount of monstrous Digimon. If only Marcus were still awake... Kazu shook his head. He shouldn't be thinking this way about his rival, his murderer... His comrade? "Bleh" Kazu spat onto the ground as the last thought passed through his mind. He hated it. Hated admitting it. But Marcus was becoming a comrade in his mind, "Bugger..."
