gaia_nitemareleft Akari felt War grasp her hand in his and felt him wipe her tears away as she listened to his words and felt him caress her cheek lovingly. She then looked up into his eyes, seeing those of a loving father, and leaned her head on his arm, wanting to fall asleep after a long day of fighting and arguing. Akari fell asleep, accidentally showing War the memory of her parents' death, the bloodshed all over the floor, the vampire who defended her, the white-haired and red-eyed woman who had blood on her demonic claws, and the Darkness slowly taking over behind her. She woke with a slight startle. "Did I fall asleep?" Akari asked, looking up at War with worry in her eyes. gaia_nitemareright

gaia_nitemareleft Akari landed in the Dark Forest and hid her wings, looking around for the Dragonsbane plant as she walked around the darkness of the forest and waited for Edmond to arrive. She heard something rustle in the trees and immediately drew her blade, still walking around until she had found the plant she was looking for. Akari kneeled down to the plant and put her blade away as she took out a pH testing kit and used it on the plant to see if it was safe to touch. Its pH level was 6.5, at which point she cleansed the pH testing kit and took out a syringe with a needle tip and took the Dragonsbane Liquor from the plant. As she was doing this, she felt as though the Darkness was watching her and creeping up on her slowly, but when she turned around, nothing was behind her. Akari then put the pH testing kit away and put the syringe on her backpack without the needle attachment, which she put in a plastic bag to take care of later. But her senses weren't wrong and the Darkness was indeed watching her, slowly following her and waiting for the right moment to taint her body and mind with pure evil. gaia_nitemareright

* a bunch of drakes surrounded Edmond in the forest.* "This wont be even fun... " *he said looking at the jet black dragonlings. They were juvenile: already bigger than a human and lethal. This didnt seem to bother Ed, for he was grinning* "Show me what youve got! *he said pulling out his shotgun and blowing the first drake's head away. After he did this the others surrounded him atempting to slash at him with their claws, to Edmond's amusement as he seemingly effortlessly dodged the incoming attacks or blocked them with his scythe, not missing a chance to strike them down with his shotgun as soon as an opening was shown. After dealing with them a lagee ball made of darkness hit him straight on his back causing him to be blasted against a tree that broke upon impact* "Uughh... " *he grunted turning around to face his foe. A huge silver drakenkard was in front of him, the mother of the little ones he slayed* "Hmmm. I love it when a girl gets violent" *he said grinning putting away his shotgun and drawing his scythe that instantly chained around his wrist* "Dark elemental Drakenkard... With Metallic coated scales. Someone's into Black Metal.." |

gaia_nitemareleft Akari heard the battle going on behind her, but before she could react, the Darkness took the form of the demon woman who killed Akari's family and placed her hand on her shoulder. The demon woman was slowly tainting her with darkness and Akari could feel it, but she remembered her promise by the scar on her wrist and immediately resisted the Darkness being given to her. She drew her blade and slashed the Darkness, who took the form of the woman she wanted vengeance from. "I knew my senses were right... but I didn't know it would be you, Kumiko." Akari said with her blade held in front of her, glaring at the Darkness. "I am not Kumiko... I am the Darkness, your worst nightmare yet to face. I see you are still weak, Akari... just like your sister and your parents." the Darkness said in its sinister tone, trying to get Akari to give in to it. "You will not claim my life... even if I must give it up to save the rest of the world." she said with powerful determination in her eyes. "Now tell me... what did you do to the real Kumiko?" Akari asked, still on her guard but concerned for her once best friend. "She gave in to her demon blood and killed your parents under my control... and I took over from that point on. She served her purpose, now you will serve yours." it said to Akari as it took its true form and tried to possess her, even if the possession was temporary. Akari resisted the Darkness' influence and put her blade away, for she knew it was too powerful to fight in this form. 'Edmond, I have to get somewhere safe... the Darkness is trying to get into my mind and body to use me for its own evil purpose! My only hope is to get War's help in this... I can feel the Darkness' power trying to get a hold of me...' she thought to Edmond before falling to the ground and into an unconscious state, where she would use the last of her power to fight off the Darkness. "She's giving in to me, Edmond... with her powers on my side, I can take control of the rest of this world..." the Darkness said in a sinister tone, laughing evilly as it seemed to disappear from the area... for now. gaia_nitemareright
