Ashley Henma is the daughter of Volkner, Electric-type gym leader. As a child growing up she'd watch her father's battles as well as when ever he trained them. Over time she grew a love for same type of pokemon her father used, big surprise. On her tenth birthday her father gifted her with an egg, promising her that if she took good enough care of it, she'd get a best friend when it hatched. Well, her father was right. After a few months, a Pichu hatched from the egg, the two instantly becoming friends. Three years went past and the two still had yet to leave the safety of their home, Ashley just never felt the need to start an adventure. It was only when she had obtained two more pokemon; a Joltik and Darumaka, was her father able to convince her to start her journey.
