Hey ~ I'm Kaia. Been on this Earth 19 years now.. going on to 20 in October. I feel super old. ;c
I'm a girl, obvious by my name I think. xD (Or else I'd be "Kai.") I have been writing almost all my life without commitment. Journals, short stories.. etc. I was always told I had talent and not too long ago I decided I should try to hone it. I was filled with inspiration and I wanted to write my own story. The style I write in is usually Prose. I occasionally write poetry but I'm not really good at it. I like to write it only when I want to use extreme visualizing. Or similes..something like that. :c
I love reading books that revolve around the genres of: The Hunger Games, Divergent, Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, Vampire Academy, Bloodlines, Throne of Glass, Elemental Assassin, Outlander etc. Yeah, I guess pretty mainstream but whatever. I like series. 8D
My strong and weak points.. I can't really say. I'm a horrible critique on myself. I am scared to praise myself in case it's false or dillusional. OR.. scared to say I'm weak at something because I don't know the standards. D; But I'll help when I can and always take advice.

So I'm going to try doing some writing, I tend to get a lot of ideas and need a way to express it... I do draw, but I don't feel like I'd be talented enough to do a comic...

I feel like I have troubles in all areas of writing, a good friend of mine told me, and I'll quote him "What matters is the style you have and the life you bring to it and you've got that!"
But honestly, I still really don't know so I'm here to hopefully learn some more things about writing and get better so I have a way to portray my ideas with..

Hello everyone!
My name is Delaney, though I would prefer the title of Dylan, mostly for personal reasons and a dash of it's easier to say and remember for most people. Unless, of course, you're a Jimmy Buffet fan, as my parents were, and can remember based on the whole me sharing the namesake of his daughter or whatever it was that talked to statues. Point is, whatever is fine, I've heard them all.

I'm, as of right now, 16 years old and in my sophomore year of EXHILARATING American education, but please don't let my age deter you from warming to me. I'm very lax about language and things of the like, IN MODERATION, but when every other word is vulgar it does tend to bother me. Also, I am highly bothered by the usage of words such as 'f**' and 'gay' to describe ANYTHING other than a bundle of sticks or a very happy individual, so lay off that if you're talking to me. Also, I am female, cooties and all that jazz.

If you haven't caught on by now I both ramble and have very bad humor.

While I tend to write in most every genre, I've been told my style is actually very depressing apparently. Talking My Immortal meets Opera level of every character gets a horrible back story or disease! I tend to lean toward fiction and action works, though.

Favourite book genre is whatever has a good voice in the writing. If the authour can use more than 50 words above a third grade level and have at least 3 different types of sentences per page, I'll take it for a spin, but fantasy and scifi tend to hold me to my seat more. Classic literature is, by far, my favourite though. Shakespeare and Edgar Allen Poe are some of my role models.

Weak points of mine would definitely have to be dedication. I can never stay on one story at a time, most notebooks I keep turning into junk books no matter how hard I try. Also, the first sentence. I'll skip around a lot as well if I don't feel up to something, psyching myself out before I even start.

I've had this ACC for years, but up until now I've never done much with it. I hope I can get along with you all! cat_redface yum_puddi

Hello everyone! I'm back to Gaia from a four year hiatus and everyone in my old Role Playing guild has up and left crying I'm grateful to have found a new guild that is so accepting of people and their differing talents!

My real name is Karla, 27 years old and trying to find a symbiotic balance between my career and my passions. So far it hasn't been easy but I one day wish to publish my own book series. At the moment I write only fan fiction, as one of my main weaknesses is character development and fleshing out storylines. I always start off strong but then kind of...flounder. I hope I can find some good tips and trick to help me out here!

My strong points include research for my stories, dialogue and grammar smile

I love to listen to music whenever I write as I find a great motivational song can make all the difference with how my story comes through. I also draw and LOVE using my GIMP graphic design program to create signatures and other pieces of art.

Hey, I'm Tori. And no, its not short for Victoria. I'm 18.
I can't say that I've always loved reading or writing... In fact, I used to loathe it with a passion.

I struggled with spelling for most of my life. I was in special classes to help, but nothing seemed to be working. Until, that is, I started reading non-stop. I hate to admit it, but I learned more about spelling in books than from school.

I now write endless fanfiction (lol) and I have started countless stories, of which I have lost interest in sooner or later! At the end of the day I would consider myself mostly talented at poetry. I'd love to share some later on!

Hello! I'm Tundra, from the UK, and I'll be honest, I haven't been on Gaia for years! But I would really like to get back into forum posting in some form. I'm trying to start writing stories as a new hobby, and I think I've got some good ideas, it's just getting them typed out is the problem!

Recently I've been reading more crime thrillers than anything else. The suspense grabs me more than other genres have (I would recommend Alex Grecian's works in the Scotland Yard Murder Squad series).

I'm pretty new to writing stories as such, so it's hard to say what my strengths or weaknesses would be. Previous experience online however would be a few role plays way back when, and some Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. However, I'm not too interested in writing fantasy, though I enjoy the setting and forming stories of that nature for game settings for campaigns.
