Omg Rami hahahahah yeah I don't think I'll go the semi route. I've still got all my hopes pinned on the winning lottery ticket route. If I just.... wish...... hard enough........

Wow it's been a good minute since this guild was kicking. It's been so long I honestly don't remember how I even got here or who invited me or any of that jargon. Anyway, how's everyone surviving apocalyptia today?

Ahaha I created it and I barely remember anything either ;P
I'm thriving! I'm very antisocial and love working from home. Haha! How about you? How's life through the great pandemic?

It's meh. I'm a shut-in so I rarely leave my home as it is. The last time I left was in July when I had surgery, and I was not a fan tbh. Either way I rarely get on here but I logged in and noticed the announcement and was curious. Mostly get on Discord to chat. Anyway, good luck with the revival! smile

Pop by any time! The revivals are usually short lived... But every year or three I pop back in for a gander so I'll see it eventually wink

I assume I'm not allowed to hold a conversation in the welcome thread so quoting you here.

Cantonese! Cool. I've been learning Mandarin though I've had to take a break recently. It takes up so much time compared to other languages I've studied. I need to get a VPN so I can watch more foreign stuff too. I learn the same way, watching TV. It was effective with Spanish. The problem with Mandarin is that I'm obsessed with period dramas and the language is just a tad bit harder to catch onto when it's being spoken in the year 1000.

What sparked your interest in Cantonese?

Ahahahaha yeah period dramas don't sound best for that. My husband's family is Cantonese. I'm lucky that I have him to practice with but we don't do it nearly often enough. I think I learn best when I have visuals to work with, but my husband only speaks it, he doesn't read and write.
