Finally Gazjik had clear view of the battle at hand. Unfortunately it looked more grim for his allies than he would have liked. Orcs bore down on both Scar-Hide and the town's guardsman, and while both stood their ground each had taken their fair share of hits. Both would favor from the cleric's aid in one way or the other, but from the look of things the guardsman required it more. Though he stood his ground against his foes and fought valiantly, the wounds he suffered were clearly taking their toll.
From the rooftop, the trio of goblins taunted Serena. Gazjik glanced back for just a moment. Damn, she'd been wounded as well. In two separate places, blood pooled on the strange metamorphic garb she wore. The little wretches must have felt they had quite the upper hand. However, the determined look she wore told him that Serena meant to show them otherwise. He didn't know what tricks she had up her sleeve, but hopefully her endeavor would be successful. For now, he had a fight to bring.
His grip on the heavy mace he wielded tightening, he fixed his gaze on the orc that faced Alvrin. These green-skins wished for a fight and he intended to bring it to them. He would make them taste the cold steel of St. Cuthbert's retribution! Bringing his weapon to bear, he moved into striking range just as Serena exhumed her flames. In the name of the Cudgel, he would strike hard and true. By the gods, he would split this orcs skull wide open!

Feeling fortunate that the human guard assisted him after failing his trip attempt, Scar-Hide tossed the man a thanking nod and a smirk. He hated the fact that he failed his attempt, it made him furious. Especially needing help from the human, though, he was starting to like the man a bit seeing as he fought hard like a true warrior.
Finally it seemed Scar-Hide's companions had joined the fight, making things a lot less hectic. The lizard crushed in an orc's skull, which made Scar-Hide happy inside, as well as Serena unleashing some sort of fire breath like a dragon, which did surprise him.
But now the orc near Scar-Hide was going for the villager nearby, thankfully missing, but that provided an opportunity.
Fueled by a consuming rage, Scar-Hide swung his mighty flail with both hands, bringing it crashing down from above atop the orc. Hoping his brute strength would end the filthy creature in a pile of blood and meat, Scar-Hide was still reminded of the man's family. If the orc was killed by Scar-Hide's attack he would follow the man to his family to try and help.
(Attack on O-14 orc; +8 str bonus, +1 BAB = +9 attack..If orc dies, Scar-Hide will move to the square that the villager told him his family was, if not then he will stay put) |
