The best time to buy items from a RIG?

I recall reading once in this guild an opinion on when the best time is to buy items from the latest RIG. Would you say it's about two weeks after it has been released that prices are lowest? I can't remember now.

I would like thoughts on the matter because I'm very interested in buying the SDPlus #354 Cassiopeia, but prices have been much higher since the 2nd day of the RIG.

Well, the first day, items generally have the highest prices, in which it is good to sell them, so if you are going to play a RIG, do it ASAP. Prices generally fall in a week or so, generally settling in three-ish weeks. There are always exceptions, especially with the super expensive items, but I would say, 2 weeks if you are willing to risk a little, with the chances of a small reward, or 3 weeks if you want solidity.

A year or two later if they are normal drops from the RIG. Right away if they are the top tier drops.
