I am a long time anime fan who has always wanted to fit into the anime groups, yet I always knew I didn't quite fit in and for the longest time I didn't know why, but sometime after highschool I realized it was because of the vast differences of our politics which set us apart. I can't say I've ever met a anime fan who has been anything but a left-wing extremist.
