Mélodie wanders in a back alleyway of Paris. Being technically homeless, she looks around for a place to stay. She looks up and sees what looks like an abandoned workhouse. She enters, hoping there's no enemy soldiers in here. Mélodie looks around. She sees no life, until she sees what looks like a frozen person. What the hell? she thinks to herself. She opens a little door, where there is solid ice. Mélodie stabs at the ice with her machete, in an attempt to break it. After a couple stabs and slashes, her efforts are rewarded with the ice cracking.

Nikolai awoke from his sleep of 300 years. He looked around and saw Melodie. "Bonjour." He said. He wonderd how long he was frozen and what year it was. He looked at his watch and the date updated itself. The date read January 01 2301. "So is this future?" He asked the girl.

Mélodie stared at him with distrust. She trusted nobody. She spoke carefully, stumbling over the English words "It is the present now, but the future from when you came from. What year might that be, if I may ask?" The words sounded strange on Mélodie's tongue, but probably because of her heavy French accent and the fact that she hadn't spoken English very much for years. She gripped her machete tightly.

"I'm from the year 1999." He said. "I froze myself to find a better life in the future." He looked outside the window to see the future paris. Gunfire in the streets gas warfare etc. "What the hell happened here?" he asked

"I always knew nuculer war was inivetable." Footsteps could heard a couple floors down. "Quick me must run Napoleon the VI's Grand Armee is coming!" Nikolai broke open a window and ran down the fire escape come on Melodie! We can make it to my old house!"

Melodie mutters ,"If it's still there.." but follows him notheless, thinking to herself I'm so stupid... Why am I following this guy..? He knows nothing about the current state of the world... Melodie gets her machete out, in case it is needed.
(On an out of character note, I'm going to use a normal "e" in Melodie's name because I don't have to other one on my keyboard, I've been copy and pasting it. c: )

OOC: Its ok. razz Sorry I have'nt posted I have no time anymore because of school. I'll try to post. IC Nikolai ran with Melodie down the streets of paris to the small suburb area of Paris. The two made it to Nikolais house. Pracitcly untouched. Nikolai pulled a key out of his pocket and opened the door. Inside was a bunch of soviet memorbalia. He sat down on the couch. "We have all lost so much in this war." He looked at papers left over from when he was in the french communist party. "Tell me Melodie what has happened to the communist party?" "Also is any of the advanced technology intact?"
