glamured I like some old country, like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, but I also like a lot of new country. I hate to say this but she's the first person in here to mention any girl classic country artists. My personal favs are Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, and Crystal Gayle. There are also great male artists too: George Jones, Marty Robbins, Lefty Frizzel, Hank Snow, Ray Price, Kenny Rodgers, and Roy Clark.
And just incase y'all wanna know how old I am I'm only 24 so don't let ppl think older country is just for old ppl. hahahaha rofl

yeah, well, there are a few artists that are alright nowadays. but, its not really country anymore. its really goin pop. i mean, keith urban and rascall flatts i really dont consider country. and as to the people sayin that all old country is twangy, that aint true. sure, there are a few artists that have that as their trademark, hank williams for example, but there are also the ones like waylon and johnny who had voices that were deep and really weren't twangy. and those arent the only two examples either. but, there are different eras of classics that are great, and were actually country. theres moe bandy, joe stamply, ferlin husky, faron young, freddie fender, bob wills, waylon jennings, willie nelson, kris kristoferson, charlie pride, charlie daniels, charlie rich, johnny cash, kitty wells, loretta lynn, dolly parton, tammy wynette, patsy cline, emmylou harris, barbara mandrell, lynn anderson, dottie west, donna fargo, conway twitty, merle haggard, george jones, and many more that i dont have the time to name. ive noticed that a lot of people here say they like it, but ive also noticed that quite a few have only said the really big names of country that everybody knows. the top ones ive seen: johnny cash, waylon jennings, merle haggard, willie nelson. now, there are a few people who named differently. as did the young lady who actually named one of the female legends. and ive seen one other lady name some of the other artists from that time also. (im referring to missing_pieces07) there are a few new country artists that are trying to keep the country tradition alive though. but, i do place a lot of interest in Hank Williams the Third. his new music sounds like some of the old. his straight to hell cd has some very interestin country on it. and, im really sorry for soundin like i was naggin, but i had to get it off my chest. again, i apoligize. and if theres people out there thinkin that im some old guy ramblin on, im 16 and i still know this stuff about country.

I could not of said it better myself, i grew up on old country, real country music not this pop culture music. I love hank Williams III, he is trying to bring the old country back, i have seen him live three times and its always a great show. i dont dislike all the new country but most of it should be classified as pop not country.
