I can't say what they expect, but knowing people they will make something like that. I was bored during the valentines event and made my avatar nude. I did not like the color scheme so I eventually made another two with better color schemes. Yeah, I made nude avatars and was more worried about being color coordinated. XD

If one part is off it tends to make me annoyed. The hair in my first one was way off, so I was like 'I can do better than this!' Eventually, I found something better than the hair, also I made a new clothed look because I loved how the cape went with the legs. This is the clothed version that I made.

It's my first outfit that uses the arm and leg mods. n_n I was happy with how it came out too. Also, used Masterpieces, love that item, it has David without hair, to give that white skin look.

agreed - i think i was older starting here 18 .. i swapped from neopets

but now i am 32 and i find many of the older ones then are gone now but some still stick around 3nodding

Yes, there is a wide range of ages still, but the site overall has less active users than it used to, and of those active users, a good chunk of them are people who have been here a while rather than new users.

There was also an adult only offshoot that was created at one point apparently. I don't remember what they called it, but I didn't care for the layout of it, nor the avatars.

Anyway, personally, I find it silly when I see people around Gaia start to freak out about nude avatars and "lewd" items. Back in the day, Gaia was never actually intended to be for kids. There even used to be a dating forum back then, but they decided to take it down when they realized that a lot of their users at that time were kids, with adults being the minority. It wasn't their target audience, but its what they ended up with and they tried to do the responsible thing with their policies, knowing what kind of users they had (and also trying to save themselves from any potential lawsuits). But at the same time, they weren't trying to cater to kids. They just suddenly found themselves with a site full of them.

Hence the back and forth on policies, which became even further distorted when power changed hands and the new management saw the user base as cash cows, so they would release any and everything that they thought people would be willing to throw a lot of money at. And of the age groups on the website, which had the most money? Adults.

Now that Lanzer's back, he's trying to get things back on track to the Gaia he originally had envisioned, but he's also stuck with all the things that became the norm (such as frequent announcements and cash shop releases) while he was gone.

Yeah! I know! Also, only the front of the bra? O_o If I turn myavatar around in it the back can still be seen. The bottom part I use is just close to my avatar's skin color. There's a thread in guides on how to do it.
