[Lord Yawgmoth]

"We hail from before time. We do not expect you to understand. Before light and space and matter and the cataclysm that bore life from nothing there was darkness. There was us. You are, of course, free to dismiss the very notion. Many creatures do." it replied with a sort of shrug. Its tone didn't sound like it was trying to be confident about what it was saying or use it as some kind of intimidating ploy but rather that it was a matter-of-fact. At least, it believed it to be anyway. "We came here for fun. Rumors of all the struggle and conflict brought us to see for ourselves. Invictus. It is a strange name hm? We are not one to judge, we are sure you find our name strange as well." It said with a coy smirk about its face showing the faintest hint of white teeth underneath the lip that shimmered among the moonlight ever so slightly. "And what of you? Where do you hail from? Why are you here?"  

[Draka The Solitary]

Isaac listened intently, he could sense no malice or true evil in the words or in the creatures presents. Just a strange emptiness, as if this was the darkness' true form. The words seemed to roll through his essence, and it was an odd feeling to not feel threatened by something so dark. The comments of the city's name made a small smile break through his face."It is a comical name, the unconquerable city, being toiled and fought over constantly. It is quite an ironic turn of events." His elf heritage filled his voice with a joyous musical tone.

"I don't have a stationary home, but if I had to name a place it would be this city. Before the war here I had parents, but they were murdered in the chaos that ensued after the royal families deaths. So I became a missionary of the creator and he blessed me with the ability to bend the earth so I could help people. So I returned to Invictus to maybe help restore a little peace to the chaos so another orphan was not created." The story was heartfelt and his voice filled with passion of the emotions he could still remember to this day.

Then he paused finally realizing that he didn't know if this creature had emotion or understood the concept of what he was doing and why and so he tilted his head quizzically and asked point blank. "Do you by chance understand emotion and purpose?"

The cloaked figure blinked between a few more trees as it came into hearing range to make out what the two strangers were saying. Only catching the tail end of Isaac's claim he hear something about the creator and earth bending but not much else. The smell of the earth bender was not very unique considering where he was however the other man was quite different. He could tell by scent and tone that the other was much different than usual. However with the porcelain mask and the distance the nodded figure would have to move down wind to get a proper grasp by scent alone.

"Of course we do." the man said tilting its head slightly as if it didn't understand why Isaac would even consider asking such a trivial thing. "We feel great joy in fulfilling our purpose. To spread the darkness. The chaos of the endless black void that all things will turn to eventually. And a few other mortal pleasures of course." it said blinking its two crimson eyes at the man.

Its head turned the other way as it stated, again not in a threatening manner but more as a matter-of-fact, "It seems we are on opposite sides of the spectrum. Your cause is noble, we will grant you that. But if you seek to bring order and restore peace we are afraid that one day we will cross paths in the wrong way. We seek chaos and unrest. It it was drew us here to begin with. We do not intend on letting it come to peace and tranquility. There is no fun in that. You asked of emotion and purpose. We have another emotion." the creature said looking Isaac straight in the eyes when it spoke. Sincerely and with a sort of authoritative tone of voice rather than the playful deep tones it had been speaking with since the beginning of their encounter.

"Pride. Honor. These are things we value greatly. As a missionary we are sure you have plenty of honor about you." it began "So know that if we do cross paths, if we do fight, there will be no tricks, no calls for help, no dirty secrets. We will take solace knowing that you will likely show us the same courtesy. An honorable brawl to the death between two warriors is hard to come by. When mortals are desperate for survival they often resort to more...dishonorable tactics hm?" Yawgmoth questioned knowing full well the answer. Ahh mortals, clinging to their little finite lives and short miserable existences just to hold out a few more years. Their drive was impressive and their ability to persevere through such hardships is what earned its interest in them to begin with so many eons ago.
