More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget averted her eyes from the others and nodded. "It wasn't so bad before. But when thing got crazy today...I couldn't keep it together. It's like I don't have a middle ground."

"You guys have every right not to trust in me right now. I don't think I can be of much use until I get a handle on this. I'm not sure what would help more, a shrink or a psychic."

Heather raised a scaley, hairless brow at her friends. They were acting strange, but she was glad that they were there. "I don't think so. I think I might know his dad or something. He reminds me of someone a great deal older."

Heather shook her head lightly, trying to undo the mental cobwebs. "Anyways, I'm feeling a whole lot better. Did something happen?" She raised her arms and looked down at her hands. The rest of her body was covered in several layers of linnens, obscuring the more obvious changes to her body. "My hands still look like they did before I passed out."

Heather raised a scaly brow at Kerana before giving her and Deora a credulous look. It didn't take long for both of her brows to raise as she began to piece together what it was that her fox friend was saying.

She crossed her eyes and looked down at her muzzle. The shape and coloring were different. She gingerly touched her face with her hand and felt the rest of her head. There was a short gasp as she felt the two small horns that now grew from the top of her skull and arched back. It was that moment she realized that her head sat higher on her neck than it used to. She caught a glimpse of her wings out of the corner of her eyes (which were starting to dart around frantically). Finally she threw the linens off of her. Once she laid eyes on her new tail and digitigrade legs her breath drew in sharply.

The sound was odd. It was as if the air she took in was drawn into two windpipes. What she, and the other girls, didn't know was that the second pipe led to a specialized sac that turned the air into something more flammable.

She arched her head up and screamed. The mixed air came into contact with the roof of her mouth and sparked. Grand flames erupted from her mouth for only a moment, but it was enough to engulf the ceiling in dragon's fire. She quickly clamped her jaws shut with her hands and cringed.

The sprinklers activated as they should. The problem was that it was the roof that was on fire. The range of the fountains wasn't made for that.

Deora had tensed as Heather began to feel the changes her body had experienced. She could guess how the girl was going to react, and even as the dragon inhaled deeply, Deora stood up and drew up her arms. Water erupted from the water jug, sending the cap flying as it raced the flames to the ceiling. It reached the tiles mere seconds after the flames engulfed them, catching the spray from the sprinklers to soak them like so many sponges.

Deora held the mass of water aloft until the jet of flame subsided, sweat beading on her forehead from the heat of the flame and strain of holding the water up. Her violet hair clung to her brow, and her arms were soon quivering, close to giving out.

As Heather clamped her jaws, Deora let the water drop with a sharp breath, barely keeping enough control to guide the falling water away from the equipment around the bed, instead letting it fall on the girls, herself and the furniture. It wasn't the ideal outcome, but it could have been worse.

"Sorry" she muttered with a tired grin.

"You might be more comfortable with a psychic Tom was able to help Tansy. Perhaps you should start with him first and see what he can... do?" An alert went off on her phone that only those with enhanced hearing could hear it. She checked and found a fire alert had gone off indicating the sprinklers have gone off. She took a closer look and found the location. "I have to look into this." She dropped through her shadow.

Kerana recognized the sound Heather made before she blew fire. It was similar to the sound when she first started blowing fire she took cover just in the nick of time. There wasn't any way around it she had to find out sooner or later.I have REAL bad luck. Everywhere I go it's trouble. After Deora doused the situation she heard a voice asking about the situation and was startled by it. She calmed herself being glad it was Trinity. She whispered the explanation. The head of security quirked her brow.

Asssessing the situation she needed to get Heather out of here until she could learn and control her power. She had the three of them sink into darkness. They emerged in a specialized training room built for fire metas. Deora and Kerana were safely behind a one way mirror there was a red button that would allow them to speak to her.

"Heather listen to me. You need to learn to control your fire." she was ready to duck considering the mirror.

Heather whipped her neck around in a fright after being pulled into the shadow realm again. She didn't like it the first time, and it sure didn't settle well with her now. She rolled onto her knees and blew the remainder of flame she had been clamping off into the ground beneath her. The flames plumed and disipated around her, licking her scales but never burning.

She panted heavily, smoke puffing out of her mouth with each exhale. Her mind was still trying to register what she saw. She was a dragon person. A very nak-

Her desire for modesty took over. She rolled onto her rear and drew her knees in. Her wings wrapped around and covered her nude form. She stretched her neck out and peeks out over her leather drapings.

"I think I got it. I just can't breath in real hard. I remember what happened now. Where's Lawrence?!"

Larry was just a moment too late to see his sister and the others taken away by Trinity. All he saw was the scorched roof and soaked room. He looked around frantically for any sign of where they went. Although his mind had been freed, he was still a child in a behemoth's body. Just brushing against anything in conjunction with his strength and speed was causing things to fly around in a highly destructive manner.

Gidget was visibly surprised by Trinity's sudden departure. But her friend had left her with a very good idea.

She turned to Ako and looked up to him. "Ako, I think I'm going to go and see Tom. He might be able to jump in and fix what's wrong with me. I think it'd be best if you stayed with Theonis and the others. They might need your help."

Theonis sighed. " Downside of having a girlfriend that can teleport. Never know if she is still there when you turn around. Especially with her job description. Or in this case with her added duties."

He glanced over to Ako. They never really talked. Things were a bit awkward between them in the beginning because of Tansy.

"So.....I've got to ask since it's kind of a thing for me but what are the extends of your powers? Can you use it to generate magnetic fields? If not I think I know of a way that would allow you to do so."

Ako nodded to Gidget, saying; "Call me when you're done." He watched her go with a smile, then sighed a bit as he turned to Theonis. He still didn't like the guy, but it was more for his seemingly cocky attitude than for what happened with Tansy. At least he didn't completely hate him anymore. He listened to his question patiently, then did his best to answer. "I'm best at creating bolts of energy, like lightning. From a static shock to something rivaling the power of Zeus. I've never really had a use for magnetism, though. I can sense wires and electronics, and I can short them out, but no magnetism."

"Hmmm, Zeus huh? That's pretty strong. " Theonis replied dropping the subject since Ako didn't seem very interested in magnetic fields." So...Gidget, how's she handling having an actual body? Besides today's breakdown."

Ako shrugged, now unsure of how Gidget was really doing. It seemed as though she was hiding just as much as he did. "She seemed to be okay for awhile, mostly annoyed that she wasn't connected to Valhalla's grid, and had to use the phone like the rest of us. Other than that, she's just about the same Gidget I remember."

He almost stated something along the lines of her taking full advantage of having a flesh-and-bone body now that he was around, but quickly decided that was too much information.

"Yeah I suppose that would still take a long time to get used to since she had that suit for a long time." Theonis replied. He was unsure on what to do next. Trinity would simply pop up from his shadow or text him if she needed him on a job. A smart move now was to determine the extent of his new power.

"Well, I am going to be honest here. Trinity will most likely text me or us if she needs help so I will go back to training and see just how strong I currently am. I'd like it to be under control for in case I subconsciously lash out again. Maybe you should too but I can imagine that after 13 years you'd pretty much know everything there is to know about your power. If you have been indulging yourself in it though."Theonis spoke up. He turned around and walked away towards the training rooms.

"You are welcome to join if you like. Maybe see if you can sustain orbs of energy outside of your body."

Ako paused to think for a moment before deciding to follow Theonis. He'd been hanging around Gidget for most of his time in Valhalla, and had never gotten around to actually gaining a job or any real responsibility. Therefor, he didn't have anything to do, or anywhere to be at the moment. He wasn't too excited to spend time with Theonis, but the idea of a room where he could freely use his power, to let some of it out after controlling it so carefully around Gidget, did sound appealing.

"You never stop learning new tricks with a power like mine." He said as they left the lab.

"Yeah but emotions are kinda new to the guy so wouldn't that throw off your aura sensing since he might not even know himself what he is experiencing?" Alexavier opted.

Annie shrugged as she reached the car, "Auras are different than emotions. My son senses emotions, I sense auras. They are two different things entirely. He likes being around happy people even if they are bad. I like being around good people, even if they are unhappy."

She frowned as she opened the door and picked up the phone Trinity had given her. "Maybe he just hadn't decided what to be and that is the problem. It is probably pretty hard to have an aura if you don't know who you are yourself."

She glanced down at the phone and began to send a text to Trinity letting her know that they didn't plan to return to Valhalla right away unless there was a real need to. Glancing up, Annie asked, "I'm letting Trinity know we aren't heading back right away. Anything you want to mention to her?"
