Tsurabisu glanced around him, wondering briefly how the others had fallen into a panic because of a few rounds fired and a bit of screaming. He shook his head slightly and patiently waited. His job was to guard their flank. Running off wildly was an invitation to getting cut down from behind. He half heartedly cursed Asuke for letting the others fall into a panic, but understood that he had his hands full. "Everyone! To your places. Do NOT forget your training. Fighters, weapons ready. Noncombatants, stay behind. You know the drill, people! Now, keep moving. And, Misty, please stop with the firing and the explosives. Do you want to give our position away to anyone else out there? You have blades, use them!"
With that, Tsu continued walking backwards along their path, waiting for the two savages who were following him to make an appearance. He could easily hear them stumbling through the undergrowth. Sure enough, only a moment later, the pair bounded out from the cover of the trees toward him, bloodlust in their eyes. They must not have been with the pack that he had seen from the ridge. These two looked as though they hadn't eaten in days, there was an awkwardness to their movements. A tiredness and weakness to the muscles boosted by hunger and adrenaline, making them little better than wild animals. All this passed through Tsu's mind in the time it took the cannibals to cover the ten feet between him and the tree line. Now that they were within striking distance, there was no more time for thought. These two men were a danger to the family, so they were to be eliminated. Simple as that.
Tsu stepped slightly to the side as the first lunged, slashing with his blade, bisecting him just above the waist. Before the two halves could fall to the ground, he was onto the next. A diagonal slash caught the second in between the shoulder and neck, all the way through to the man's opposite hip. As the parts fell and the blood spurted, he glanced around once more to make sure there were no other threats in the immediate area. Satisfied, he wiped his blade clean on a scrap of cloth from the first corpse's shirt before returning the blade to the saya.
