York watched as the events unfolded. Now the beast was angry, it was about time. Since the tendrils dissappeared, he allowed his katanas to fade back into the air from which they were formed. He had enoguh energy to image them again if need be, but he doubted it. He looked up to the pissed off creature, "HEY YOU BIG UGLY, SMELLY, EIGHT LEGGED FREAK! YOUR TARGET IS RIGHT HERE!" As York shouted, he imaged a classic red and white target in one of his hands and held it up in front of his face, though he still maintained a visual on the creature. It was thoroughly pissed, anything it did would probably be for overkill, and assuming it did anything predictable, that's exactly what would happen, but probably not in the way it intended...

Acresius finished his roll once he was out of the way and popped back on to his feet. The boy who had arrived via portal was asking him about using ice against it when the creature got angry. Acresius covered his ears as quickly as he could, but even that wasn't enough to stop the sound.

The initial scream made his body shake, but the following ones weren't to bad. The kid who asked him about the ice powers was drawing the beast towards him. "Good, keep doing that! Anything I do with ice takes a lot more concentration. It might take a while to do anything large enough to affect the creature. I'm going to need protection." He yelled quickly with his powerful sounding voice.

Once the sentence was out of his mouth he charged to the opposite corner the spider had run to. Once he was there Acresius put his sword back in to it's sheath, which entered as quietly as it had left, and sat down with his legs crossed. He closed his eyes and began to empty his mind of all thoughts of the battle and focus solely on the water around him. With the creature screeching it was taking more time than it used to.

"Marvelous. Truly marvelous. Such a creature, and yet people continue to toss themselves at it. Admirable, to say the least." It was obvious he didnt care. It was obvious he didnt intend to care either. A beastie whom wished ill of his now comrades was nothing new, though Hobbs was feeling slightly inclined to help. " Excuse me Mr. Spider b*****d, over here. Im far more powerful then any of these blokes." he grinned as he drew his lance, Oathkeeper and took up a defensive stance, eager to Jump at moments notice, though he was quite sure that wouldnt work. a Psycho-voice perhaps, but the creature didnt seem to be sound sensitive. Psycho-calm would knock off the groups powers as well, and that was keeping them alive. For now a simple taunt and waiting game was all he could muster, effort being a rare commodity at the moment as he felt no immediate danger in the current situation.

K' observed as the tendrils backed off a few feet away from him. Surely the creature wasn't afraid of him, so it meant one thing; a counterattack. Resembling a water hose, sewage water was aimed directly at him. Even if he would have wanted to, he didn't have time to dodge. The best course of action would be to protect himself as best as possible.

K' dug both of his swords into the ground, right in front of him. Then he formed an X with his arms and used them as a shield that would protect his face. His swords emitted the same kind of glow as before and suddenly, a firewall rose up between the sewage water and K'. Normally, the intensity of the flames would be enough to vaporize the water, but the water stream was so strong that the firewall only did half the job. Little streams of water pierced through his fire shield; they felt like small blows to K's body. On top of that, the sticky, dirty water ruined his clothes.

"Great, and here I spent like half an hour figuring out what to wear for this big event." K' yelled randomly. His visibility was also greatly reduced due to the steam that was created by the water's contact with the fire. K' had no other choice but to leap backwards in order to get a better view of his surroundings.

He didn't have time for another thought since a piercing howl echoed through the arena. It felt as if someone had just punched K's brain directly. This was one of those times his heightened sense of hearing was more like a curse. Disoriented, he felt backwards, flat on his back, holding his head as he attempted to pull himself back together. Thankfully, the screeching sound didn't last for long, and K' was able to take advantage of this. He quickly leapt up and looked at the monster, who appeared to have ceased attacking for a moment only to assume a defensive position.

"Yeah, now I'm getting a little tired of that huge booger." K' muttered as he walked back to where his swords were at. He pulled them out of the ground and continued walking towards the creature. Another screech echoed across the place, but this time, K' was able to half-cover his ears. After all, he was still holding both swords on his hands. But this time, he didn't feel as dazed as before. Maybe because he had already felt the full effect of the screech before. The creature shook the arena, but again, K' was not caught off guard this time.

With a swift move, K' joined both of his swords. The result was a single broadsword with twin blades. His walk turned into a sprint, and soon he started running at full speed, trying his best to either ignore or dodge some of the creature's attacks. He knew he would probably end up getting hurt by one of them, but that was the least of his worries. He had to finish this. The other warriors seemed to be thinking the same thing, so even if he failed, he knew the others would finish the job. Foolish of him to rely on strangers, but he just wanted to get this over with. After all, he wasn't interested in fighting huge, random beasts.

With the momentum he had gained as he ran, K' jumped upwards and held his broadsword with both hands. As he descended, his swords started glowing once again. This time, the glow moved across the body, providing him with the extra strength to deliver a piercing blow; a blow that would be felt across the arena. His single sword was aimed at the creature's eye; perhaps its weak spot. And if it wasn't well, at least the creature would be blind now. But only if he managed to succeed.

Since the big, ugly, eight legged freak didn't know it was being insulted, York's little show proved nothing. With the ice katana's fading, it was less interested in him than ever before. Extreme cold was something the creature didn't like, granted it had picked up many other chemicals and salts beside water in formation and had a much lower freezing point than plain water, but extreme cold was bad. It would injure the beast, and cause pain. York found himself ignored besides a dew spare tendrils that came flying at him from both sides, aiming to pick him up by the waist and ignoring the target.

Now the spider had run against the wall of the stadium, but it had been thrown back to the middle by the barrier, and that's where it remained for now. Only something was not the same, since hitting the barrier the creature was pulsing with electrical currents. The effect would last a short time until the currents were discharged, but this would not harm the creature, and would prove to be yet another defense.

Hobbs would receive a burst of electricity shot his way in conjunction with a flurry (about six or seven) tentacles. Two would be aimed at his shins, one directly in front at his chest, another two for his wrists, one for his head, and a final one circling around behind him from the left to grab his back. Maybe he would taste good if he couldn't dodge or destroy all those extensions flying out from the center of the body at nearly forty miles an hour.

Then there was, whom the creature had turned to face, fangs to swords. There were flames, the beast howled a deafening screech as K approached in a sprint. This was no ordinary screech, but a full fledged sonic attack. The sound waves would literally tear the ground as the creatures massive girth seemed to roll on itself and quiver. The center had become hollow, drawing air through makeshift vocal chords, a high pitched scream was kept in a concentrated direction, hundreds of decibels of force rolling towards the fire warrior at the speed of sound. Everyone else in and around the stadium would hear a horrible ear piercing screech.

If K could get around that, his jump might prove ill advised, as many as ten tentacles could assault and flank him without him being able to dodge once in midair. He'd have to think quick to counter them, and as the eye could simply move away from his attack, if he landed it he would simply be slicing and burning part of the amorphous body. Worse, when he landed, he'd most likely be very close if not under the fangs of the beast.

That said, K was proving to be quite a distraction for the beastie, buying time for the others.

------------------------------------

"That thing, it's a..." said one of the agents.

"Imagine if you could control something like that..."

"I think somehow, its part of him, something feels... off. That thing shouldn't be so strong, it's way beyond the other undead slugs. Is this a new trick?"

"Its the core extracted from the girl, the slug has a much bigger portion of Ymir than a mere sliver of flesh and blood. We need to get that core as soon as possible."

Repede
The Overseer

York grew rather annoyed by the creatures attitude. It seemed to lose the anger that it held just a moment ago and focused on what it considered a threat. As the two tendrils approached, York merely flipped into the air, breaking the target in two, then using the halves as shurikens to cut through the tendrils. As the beast howled, Yorks annoyance grew further and he imaged himself a pair of ear plugs. "Repede! If this isn't ended soon, I'm liable to bust out something a bit more dangerous on this ugly b*****d!" Through his impatience, he was growing excited which didn't play into the creatures well being. York imaged to viles filled with liquid nitrogen, it was a rather easy substance to make to it didn't take much energy. He whipped both of the viles at the creature hard, due to its plasmus body, the viles should have no problem sinking into it. As they neared thier target, York imaged his signature pistols, before he ever had any actual powers, York was one of the greatest gun slingers around. He quickly fired two shots, aiming for the viles, if all went well, that ugly beast would have to deal with a large portion of its body becomming a popsickle...

Repede still waited for an oppurtunity to blow the beast away but it just wasn't giving him one. Moreover, those screeches were getting very, very annoying. As a wolf, Repede didn't fancy high pitched and loud sounds like that. He was almost about to tell York to just erase this b*****d from existance. As he watched the one warrior leap into the air and prepare for some devastating attack, he noticed that his current target wouldn't do him much good... Repede opened a portal directley beneath the man, the release portal being right next to one of the creatures legs. If all went well, that attack could at the very least take out a leg, but moreover would send rocks from the floor scattering everywhere which woul prove useful...

Acresius had just completely got his focus down, almost ready to turn the whole damned beast into a block of ice, when it screeched again. Acresius let out an inaudible yell of anger and opened his eyes towards the field.

Instantly two things caught his bright blue eyes. The steam, and the liquid nitrogen the portal person was throwing. He closed his eyes and instantly began to focus yet again. He had a marvelous idea.

When the shots hit the vials, they exploded open upon the beast giving Acresius the perfect thing to imitate. With the steam still present, he would also have somewhere to direct the excess heat. This time with his mind having only to imitate actions it went much quicker. The air around the creature suddenly went down a huge amount of degrees, the heat from the would be water transferring to the steam not far away. When the liquid nitrogen hit, instead of turning maybe a couple of legs to ice, with Acresius helping it would freeze the entire entity. With any luck the thing would also happen to freeze before the fire swordsman's attack hit.

.: Levin Brenton :.
(~The Wing of Hope~)

For the sake of hope...

Levin began to cough viciously as the gasses began erupting from the spider, it wasn't harming the phoenix, but as long as Levin kept him out, more would be made, so he did as he had to, "Release!" Levin sprung from the bird's back as his hand was surrounded in the same red glow that had summoned the bird. As he began to lose altitude from his jump the bird's body lost shape and started flowing back into Levin's hand as a mass of fire that melted away the tendrils that gad grasped it before.

Landing, Levin lost his balance a bit and had to merge into a roll. Springing up from that, Levin would have to contemplate some type of attack that would be useful, since the Phoenix was now out of the question. 'Damn it!' Levin rushed towards the Spider when he heard a piercing screech that devastated his ears, this caused Levin to trip and roll as he slammed his hands to his ears as hard as he could. As his roll brought him closer to the spider the ground was beginning to crack and send rocks jetting up, which would skewer Levin if he wasn't careful...

Digging into the ground in some type of slide, Levin's foot caught on a smaller rock which flipped him up into the air. From here Levin angled his fall to where he could land on one of the spiring rocks and began to jump from tip to tip as he approached the spider. As he got closer Levin noticed several other fighters charging in and fighting with the Spider, it was good to know that he wasn't the only one putting in effort.

As he got closer, the soundwave was now past Levin and he was able to release his hands. Just as he was about to run out of rocks to jump to, Levin had an epiphany, 'The core is its weakpoint right...? Then maybe...' Levin twitched his left sleeve which caused a tonfa to drop out into his hand. Levin landed on the last tip of rock that had jutted out from the spider's screech as he leapt into the air as high as he could, "Let's do this!" The tonfa in Levin's hand was starting to get surrounded in some type of white energy, it was painless to Levin, but it would be able to burn into the spider, melting bits and bits, but it would take one hell of a throw to pierce all the way to the core...

I will fight on!

Just before K' was about to land and make contact with his target, the creature had decided to release another screech. Only this time, it appeared to be much more powerful. The invisible waves were enough to push him back a little bit in midair and daze him if only for a moment, completely messing up his whole attack. He was only able to shield his face with his free arm, something that didn't prove to be useful at all but that he ended up doing anyway out of instinct. At the same time, his whole body appeared to have caught fire. Obviously this fire didn't affect him or his clothes at all. Hopefully, this would be enough to keep those tentacles at bay since he couldn't exactly pinpoint their location. After all, he was still a bit disoriented.

As K' started losing stability and slowly managed to gather his thoughts once again, he glanced one last time at the creature. He only had a couple of seconds to react before he hit the ground. So K', still with a good grip on his sword, aimed directly at what he assumed was the creature's neck. Gathering as much strength as possible, K' tossed his sword at the neck. The sword was now acting like a boomerang, hurling at a great speed. His weapon could even ignore the pesky sonic waves released by the creature; one could say the sword would easily cut through them.

"Let's see you break into a falsetto now." K' muttered.

If the creature didn't manage to dodge the attack, it would easily cause a severe wound, especially since the heat of the blades was enough to cut through the hardest material. If those annoying tendrils decided to interfere, they would probably be cut off too. And considering the speed of his weapon, the size of the beast and the fact that he was at a close range, the creature only had few seconds to react and deal with the others.

As for K', he knew he was still too close to the creature. Even after he was pushed back by the sonic wave, he would land right in front of the creature, open for a direct blow. So the best thing he could do was at least try to manage to land on his feet. That alone would increase his chances of survival. So with a weird pirouette, K' attempted to aim his feet to the ground. When he was sure it was time to land, he braced himself. However, his body continued moving for another second, which felt extremely weird. Next thing he knew, he was next to one of the monster's legs.

Disoriented for a moment, K' quickly stood up and looked around. "Oh, a portal! I know those!" K' said a bit relieved about not landing right in front of the monster. He also couldn't help but notice that the creature was only inches away from the portal itself. It was then when he finally understood the meaning of that gate. He could also see the rest of the attacks heading dangerously close to him. So K' stretched his right arm and summoned his last weapon, the Mar greatsword. This was his primary weapon, his victory trophy. He still wasn't sure if his last attack would work, but as for now, he couldn't allow himself to be weapon-less.

It was a matter of too many elemental attacks coming from too, some more successful than others. The bolts of liquid nitrogen froze a big slab of flesh on the creatures side, the freezing broke through the protected outer membrane. As a result, the creature released this.

Quote:

Lightning Bolt

When a source of charge is found for some plasma creatures, it can be stored inside their bodies without harm due to the lack of major organs. This charge cannot be controlled by the creature but can be released through contact with conductive substances.

An electrical surge would billow through the steam, probably not causing all that much harm to York who was nearby. As it wasn't directed at him, merely coming his way. Anything wet nearby would gain an electrical charge

Levin's attack would hit as the spider was now injured and distracted by the ice attack. The problem would be that Levin's attack had hit. The Tonfa he had just thrown into the creature would burn flesh, but more would melt into the wound to replace it at a faster rate then it was burned. The creature reacted in much the same way it would if a flare had been shot into it, dampening the source of the burn with a release of water at the source. Most likely, it would get to the center of the creature, but by then the creature's internals would have dampened the energy Levin had put into the weapon. Worse yet, Levin's weapon was now stuck inside the creature. He had made a grave miscalculation about the core, it wasn't in the center of the beast, it was moving, it could appear anywhere at the surface or go inside the plasma body at will. To sum this up, Levin's Tonfa was stuck inside this thing.

Now technically the creature had no neck, as it more resembled a spider, or better yet, a giant roach with a plasma form and fangs than anything else. So, K's sword was intercepted by a fang.

SWOOSH!!!!!

The fang dropped, along with a bunch of severed tendrils, it stuck out of the soil before it started to disintegrate.

The came the portal transfer, and K would take some time to summon a sword, but before he could even get started the eye had caught him and had moved on.

WhooF!!!! Body Kick!!!

The leg K was standing next to would shoot up, and if the bladed edge didn't catch him and slice him in half, he would feel like a MAC truck had just slammed him uphill. He should have thought to get out of the way a desperate monster's steely appendages before summoning his sword, or doing much of anything else. At the very least, he was going to take one helluva nasty hit that might send him flying before he could really even start summoning.

The creature let another disturbing screech and began running toward Acresius, tendrils forming on the right side were the flesh had not been frozen

Blasted by several bolts of energy, Hobbs let out a feral shout of anguish as he hit the ground, rolling on his side to an area where he could regroup. He honestly didnt expect the b*****d to attack him, so dodging was out of the question.
That hurt. that really hurt, for a deity thats saying a lot. He scoffed as he stood and brushed off his now dirty armour, glaring at the beast with rage. He spaced his feet apart to gain some footing before lifting the visor of his helm, revealing his pearly whites and his long azure hair, which was frayed at the tips much to his disdain. He nodded as he sucked in as much air as he could. Arcane sparks flew from his lip[s as he released his signature technique, the Psycho-Voice. The Psycho-Voice was concentrated sound waves and severe vibrations capable of crumbling buildings, so not often was it a good idea to use. But anger had Hobbs' reason, so this earth shattering roar was the best idea he could muster. The creature, in his mind, was doomed.

Acresius as the reaction the creature had to so many attacks simultaneously and was suddenly very afraid. The thing had lightning. He got up as fast as he could so that the steam would stay as far away as possible, when he realized something worse. The spider had figured out who had helped the nitrogen.

Acresius took one large leap to his right, increasing the distance between him and the steam, but drawing him slightly closer to the spider. He drew his blade and smiled. Though he had lept to his right, it was the spider's left. The frozen side. Acresius made sure his legs weren't in shock from the speed of his rising and prepared to make his move.

Acresius used his power to reach out towards the spider when a shattering scream pierced through all other sounds, and this time it wasn't the plasma being. The being the looked like a dragoon had just unleashed arcane magic from his mouth. That would serve a good distraction for the beast, but it also made Acresius lose his focus. Drawing water from the creature should be easier than from the air, but there was no way of knowing for sure.

K' was too focused on his greatsword that he couldn't have seen that last attack coming. It felt as if a giant wreck ball had hit him out of the blue. Next thing he knew, he was sent flying against a steel door. The impact left a huge body-like dent on the door itself, and it also cracked the wall around it. K's body fell down motionless, pieces of debris falling on top of him too as if it wasn't enough. His twin-bladed sword that now lied near the monster disappeared in a small cloud of red mist.

For a moment, the pile of debris remained there, not a sound coming out of it. Then after a while, some pebbles started moving. Little by little, the rocks fell down until K' emerged out of the pile, his clothes were not only sticky and dirty, but they were now dusty and torn in some places too. He had several lacerations all over his body, the most significant across his chest, where the creature had struck him. His wound kept bleeding, while the smaller ones had stopped. Some had even managed to heal themselves. But K' was growing tired, and he had to admit that last blow had really shook him. The wound across his chest wouldn't heal anytime now. He could only clench his chest and hope he'd be in a good enough condition to continue, or at least until he recovered enough energy to heal. But that wouldn't be the case while that creature continued attacking so relentlessly. On top of that, it didn't seem to be taking a lot of damage. Heck, it appeared to be healing f--

Wait a minute, K' thought. Healing? Was the creature able to heal itself somehow? No, the monster wasn't healing, but it had managed to find a way to cure one of his injuries with water. K' took a look at his own injury; it remained the same. So then maybe K' needed to stop trying to deliver finishing blows and instead, he should focus on trying to tire the creature out.

"Well, it's worth the shot. It can't get any worse than this." K' said to himself. He started sprinting right next to where the biggest boulders were at. At this point of the battle, the arena had suffered so much damage that boulders such as these were easy to find. With his remaining hand, he took aim, gathered most of his strength and punched one of the boulders. The boulders had caught fire and it now resembled a flaming meteorite. The punch hurt, but the damage was lessened thanks to his gloves. Now the boulder was traveling at a great speed towards the creature. He continued doing this with the next one, and the next one. Next thing, about 10 boulders were heading towards the spider. It would be hard to knock them out of the way due to the size and the fact that they were engulfed by fire. Even if the creature managed to dodge some of them, the others still remained. And by the size of them, the spider would feel as if someone had just slapped the heck out of it. And even if by some miracle the spider managed to avoid all this, the boulders would still be on fire when they touch the ground.

K' now sat down on the floor, sweat running down his forehead. He would need a minute to recover from that last attack. And on top of that, his hand now hurt too! But no matter; at least he would buy himself and the others some time. They had to get this over with. This was just getting old...

York watched as his attack made contact, only being helped by the water man. This was the first time the others actually worked with him, it was nice. York knew that no matter how much this creature could move its core, it couldn't if there was no where to move it to! He imaged a large club, smashing it into the ground to hive him lift as he sprung at the creature. His powers as a silver claimer shown through as the creature sent lightning bolts his way, his necklace quickly wrapped up to the top of the wooden club, acting as a lightning rod which would only increase the damage of his attack. As he neared the large part of the body that had been frozen, he started to spin, he would shatter every last bit of ice off the giant b*****d!

Repede watched, he finally got some relief as the one warrior started blitzing giant flaming boulders at the creature, this was the chance he was waiting for, ten large flaming rocks should be more than enough. He has long since decided that the eye was probably the core, or at least an important asset to the creature. He simultaneously opened portals in front of all the flying boulders, opening release points near inches from the spiders main body, one directly in front of its eye. It was surrounded, top, bottom, and on all sides. Even if the eye knew of the damage these portals would bring and found a safe place somewhere on its body, that would do it no good against the coming meteors...
