In the midland of Oerth, just south of the Kron Hills and the mid-Gnarley Wood lies the village of Hommlet. It is a peacefull place but also underlined with danger all around.
Corrdain the warrior arrives and gets a room at the Cat's Eye Inn, owned by a very nice family. After he settles he goes to the Welcome Wench Tavern to eat and drink.
The tavern is owned by a hard man named green and his wife. Their two daughters are servers and they've hired a third and kitchen help.
Right now its 11 am in the 6th month, low summer. There are few travelers , mostly the villagers.

Vlara Inters the tavern and asks one of the girls for an ale and bread and cheese. She had been traviling for a few days and it was nice to see people again. But she knew that she had to look for work soon and these little towns usualy had something that needed to be done. She just hoped that cursed spider was not following. That's all she needed. Fefe dozed quitly in her pocket in the cloak.

People near by smelled the air and then their food. Shrugging their sholders they went back to to eating.

Bobbo looked up from his dice game, when the elf entered. noting with an expereced eye, that she was a mage, but something seemed off.

yes, the dice were loaded, but they were not his dice. he was playing well, but the half-orc was frowning at the owner of the dice, a hobbit. palming the dice, just as the brute lundged at the little guy, who ducked under the table and out the back, Bobbo stood, and approached the new mage.

"hey there, sweet thing." he swept in close. "can i get you a drink?" he had also palmed the money from the game, as well as a few coins from the half orc's pocket...

Knowing this would strech her money more she excepted the drink. But looking over at the angery gambling group in the corner she had an idea why this person came over. She didn't know if they where going to cause truble, but she knew if they even tried Fefe would not be happy about being woken and have a little suprise for them. Her smell when she got mad was even worse sents the last time the spider came around.

The half orc not find the hobbit and he looked but couln't find the money either. Mr. Gren the owner and bartender came over with a club ( holding in a faux relaxed state ) and told him there's to be no trouble.
"My money's gone! You let thieves in your town? "
" You know better than that half-orc. " says Mr. Gren.
THe half-orc smiles, he has plans. He goes to the bar and gets a new drink but swears he had more coin. He looks at the half-elf they were playing, "Naw " he says to himsels he wouldn't think it.

The other patrons watched and was ready to run or fight. Half-orcs only mean trouble in this almost 90 % human village.Yes half-orcs only mean trouble.

Corrdain saw the action and smiled. He hoped the hobbit got away. He didn't care that much for half-orcs, didn't trust them. He then saw the elven woman the guy went to, she was something else.. He deceided to watch them.

Bobbo sensed the human's eyes on him, but as he was in an easy manner, pushed him out of mind. waving the youngest daughter over, he turned on the charm as only a half-elf can.

"Sweetness, a bottle of that dee-lightful elven wine your father has," he trailed his fingers of his left hand along her arm. "and two glasses. A mug of ale, for that sell-sword." he flipped his right hand towards the human he ment(cor...) "and tell your father that i am paying for two buckets of ale for the orcish fellow. I do owe him a drink after the enjoyment of the little game we had." he pulled 3 gold from his money pouch, and wraped her hand about the coins, before kissing it.

turning to the elf, "is just me, or do you love my hair?" he swept the long flowing silver waves over his shoulder.

really giving her the once over. "something just screams 'WILD' about you." he leered at her, "I just know anytime spent with you would be... 'magical'!"

he grinned at her grimince at his pun...

ooc you were warned!!!

Looking at the half elf she could not beleave such a low creature even thought he had a chance. She had seen him steal from that 1/2 orc, so she knew what he was and she was not going to fall for his charm.

"You are very sweet to offer the drink. Thank you. But as for your hair, you do know that there is a wad of something on the top of your head?" Waiting she sees if he feels his head.

(If you do) She then laughs," Thank you for that laugh. It has been such a long day. Do you know how the work is around here?"

Bobbo quickly ran his fingers through his long liquid locks of lushish silver, finding nothing, but the elfs humor.

"Sorry, thought someone pretty was looking my way." he turned to take the bottle from the young maid as she approached. scanning the bottle, he nodded. pulling the cork, he poured his gobble full. he set the bottle near him, where she would have to admit she was interested, if she wanted some. "not that you would be interested. The the human male over there might be in you."

he sipped deeply, the icy cool berries burned in his throat as the tangy bite danced around his tongue. "work? What kind of Elf do you take me for? Work? Adventure, now there is the thing!"

Vlara looked over at the human. " If you want you can join us." She then looked around for a sign of work.

(OOC: Is there a wall with anounsments for work?)
PostPosted: Wed Dec 02, 2009 9:11 pm
AS Corrdain comes over to join them, a person nearby at the bar looks to them. " Looking for work are you. Well The Millers are allways looking for help, and Christen"s farm needs new hands.
" But that's probly not the work you mean." he laughs a little. " Go to the Half built Tower on the edge of the village. There you'll meet Ol' Cutter The head of our militia. He'll tell ya what needs to be done."
The man stands and walks out the door. Corrdain asks the bartender who that was and he says, he saw no one by them.

Corrdain thought that was strange , hec knew there was a guy there.
Corrdain asked the bartender about Ol' Cutter and he said he's the head of the village militia and lives at the half built Tower. Corrdain thoght if that was real maybe he has info for them.
" Gueys and lady, Ol' Cutter is real. Do you want to go and see him.? It might be worth our whyle."
