WATER + HEAT = STEAM [PRP]

[Bardess Ookami]

Tarvek turned to look as well.

The egg shook more in the coil.

"It's shaking, does that mean it's too cold? Tarvek asked. "I can turn up the heat."  

[divena]

" stare Are you serious?" she asked, flatly, then shook her head. "No, don't answer that. I think it's hatching."  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Hatching?" he squeaked. Yeah, that's right, big Tarvek squeaked.  

[divena]

"I... I think so..." Sophie tried not to be too amused by his panic. It was easy, considering she was trying not to squeak herself.  

[Bardess Ookami]

A beak poked out, finally, followed by a pair of dark eyes, the rest of the face still in the egg.

"Should we help it?" Tarvek asked, grabbing his wrench shakily.  

[divena]

"Keep your tools away from it," Sophie ordered. "I don't think we should help.... If you help a chick out of its egg, it won't be strong enough to live... maybe..."  

[Bardess Ookami]

A split separated what was left of the egg and she tumbled out onto the grass, panting a bit and wide eyed. She looked around, then at Sophie. her head cocked. "Momma?"  

[divena]

Sophie stared at the child for a moment before smiling and nuzzling her. " Sure..."  

[Bardess Ookami]

The little one snuggled into the nuzzle. "Momma!" she said, happily. (Summery coming, hopefully tonight)  

[divena]

"And daddy," Sophie said, looking to Tarvek.  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Daddy," she repeated.

Tarvek made his way over. "Uh... I don't suppose there is a blue print for this... parent thing?" he asked Sophie, weakly.  

[divena]

"Not that I've ever heard of...."  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Then how are we supposed to know what to do?"  

[divena]

"We'll just have to wing it."  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Well, at least... she has two of those already...."
