Karasu_Tenma InuVash255 Karasu_Tenma InuVash255 Karasu_Tenma Soooooo I made a character...aaaaand I think I went a little overboard with the bio...It's...well...it's bigger than most posts....and I don't know how well it will fit in with the grace world. There seem to be a lack of soldiers in this world...and a lack of war...this conflicts with backstory...>.< Balls...Will someone tell me if I have to change it please? I have no idea where I will go with it if I have to change it....but...we will see... So, I read it over, and it sounds pretty good, but there are a few setting inconsistencies. Nothing groundbreaking, just little details and things. Grace is a planet entirely separate from Earth, and there's basically one huge city on it called "The Hive". The Hive is like... Every major city on Earth stacked on top of each other to make a many-layered metropolis. With about the width/length of a small country. The low levels are cruddy and filled with crime, and the high levels are for the rich and powerful. Outside of the Hive, there are a few outposts. So, instead of moving to a different state, your guy would probably move to a different level, or maybe a different area of the level he was living on. Although there are no other countries to go to war with, there is a sizable military force on Grace. A war could totally happen... just not so much against other countries as much as against a criminal organization, a rouge super group, or an unruly ex-military splinter group. Other than that, everything pretty much checks out :3 Awesome! Also what did you think of his backstory? Pretty epic right? Pretty cool, man :3 Definitely an interesting read! So I changed the moving to another state to moving down levels. Do I have to do his techniques before I can RP with him, or can he be approved as is?
You absolutely can!
Just add a summary beneath the Bio of powers you expect him to have right off the back (flying, hittin' stuff, etc.), and then I can approve it for RPing.
After that, I'll make a post in your profile so I can tally your Power Points until your stats/powers/etc. are ready to go.
Keep this in mind: Until your profile is completed, you will be unable to participate in system-based battles, nor will you be able to make skill checks. Your brief power summary grants your character some things to do in RP, but nothing else status-wise. |

May Dream Hello, and nice to meet you all; my name is Shei. You can call me Shei, or May, or Dream if you want. Moving on; I am having some trouble with the Character Creation. I know all the Role-play aspects of my character, his name, abilities, past; and so on. But the numbers and abilities are giving me some trouble; I've never seen this format before.
Nice to meet you Shei, and welcome to Grace! How did you find out about us, if I may ask?
I do suppose the format is a tad different than other places, isn't it?
In essence, Grace uses the d20 system (used in DnD, d20 Modern, and Mutants and Masterminds). However, unlike many d20 games, there are no classes or races. You also do not level up in the traditional sense.
Instead, what you have are Power Points that you can spend on Abilities, Skills, Feats, and much more! At the starting level, Power Level 1, you have 20 Power Points (PP) that you can spend.
For just 1PP you can buy:
1 Ability Point
1 Save (Fortitude, Reflex or Will)
4 Skill Points
1 Feat
For 2PP you can buy:
+1 to attacks (Melee and Ranged)
+1 Defense Bonus (makes you tougher to hit)
With Power Points, you can also make powers, which are a bit more complicated. You can learn more about powers [Here] and [Here].
