Rules

1.
Don't be a jerk.

This one is fairly simple. Don't be the player everyone hates to play against. Don't hog the plot, don't hog the comments. You will be limited to three characters.

2.
Post often.

Also simple. Unless you let me know if you're going to be gone, or you might find your character no longer a part of our game. We will have a four week cap, no more, no less. Activity is a good thing.

3.
Be mature.

It's a given. We may deal with some mature concepts, and I don't want to see immaturity from people who can't deal with said concepts. That being said, we will not tolerate anything above a PG-13 rating. I will not put this group in danger of being shut down because you want to write smut. Sorry, not going to happen.

4. Have fun.

If you're not having fun, then what's the point of playing? This shouldn't be work, for you or anyone else.

Regulations

1. Write well.

Please, for the love of all that is good, make sure you can write well. We're not asking for novels, but we are asking for well-written posts that are easy to understand.

2. Pick a tense, any tense.

We'd prefer to see things written in third person in the guild. In your journal, that's up to you, but for consistency's sake, third person, please.

3. Make your posts easy to read.

Let's go for accessibility, in our text. It's not that I think you shouldn't be able to be able to use whatever font you want, but I do want to be able to read the text without getting a migraine. So please, keep the font no smaller than size 10, with as few post modifications for the guild, if at all possible. Thank you.

4. Watch the guild.

This is probably the easiest thing to do, and for good reason. Watch the guild, read what's going on in character. Individual journals are seen as being in character, as well, but do not use the information you know out of character in character. Any evidence of this, and you will be removed from the game.

The rules are fairly simple, and while the regs seem to limit some things, it should help in other places, such as ease of reading; a good thing for the community, right?
