Sounds like my sophomore English teacher. I would prove him wrong with the dictionary and my Latin text book about a word cell and he would freak out and say I was lying.

I also knew words he didn't know, he yelled about what he thought the definitions were, but when I forced him to look them up they agreed with me. He would still yell that the dictionary was wrong.

I know, right! How do these people even get degrees?

This is perfect example of why I took Advanced Placement English my senior year! xd

I feel sad because I know people who write like that. One of them now hates me because I attempted to correct her work when she only wanted me to read it. What killed me the most was when she said, "Who cares about spelling and punctuation? My story is awesome!"

She wrote it in chatspeak and did the dialogue like so:

R - 'yea i know'
T - 'im sori'
Rose walked away Terry looked really sad.


I'm not exaggerating about it. She's in her final year of high school, and she writes like this. It kills me to fake a smile and tell her that her work is great. Fanfiction illiterates said her story was great, so they must be. *commits suicide*
