So, this account has been given to me. Basically, I want the shop biggrin I just don't wanna run it here. Gaia's just not a place I like to hang out on.
I'll be running it on Subeta and I need this thread so I can make the shop the way I want it and make it so I won't have to do anything except copy and paste. Because any time you edit a post on Subeta, it puts /s in front of every " and ' in your post. Which is UGLY.

Back to the shop!



Well, first stage is an egg . At this point, you really don't know what the pet will be. You just know what color(s) it'll be. When you order your egg, you'll need to select a gender for it and name it. Don't ask how they make sure your egg comes out the gender you want, I don't want to know!
This stage lasts for up to a week.

The second stage is the newborn . You still don't know what species your pet will be, but you can see the beginnings of it's markings (if it'll have any). If you look close, you'll be able to tell what color eyes your pet has.
This stage lasts for up to a week.

The third stage is your infant. At this point you'll be able to tell what species your pet is. They won't be able to see well and they'll be pretty awkward at this point, so be careful with them?

The fourth stage is the child. By this time, his or her eyes are wide open and it's obvious what species they are. They'll be able to move around and wear some clothing items. The fourth stage is the adult for bats.

The fifth stage is the last one. The adult. They can wear clothes and are more likely to attract ladybugs and recieve giftboxes.

Cats
We love fish, bits of string, rolling around in a fresh basket of laundry, and of course snuggling with people who are allergic to us. I can't speak for all cats, but I'm pretty laid back. It's not that I'm lazy...I just like to do my own thing. I might squish a ladybug if it's left with me too long though. I can't help it. They're little, shiny, and they crawl.

Bats
These guys are wacky. Nice. Just a little off. These are the non-vampiric kind btw. They love fruit, but they eat bugs too. You'll wanna keep an eye on your pet bat if you want to have any ladybugs. You have to claim ladybugs fast.
They also don't usually like dressing up. I think it's their wings...or those ears *snort*.

Bunnies
Bunnies enjoy most everything. They won't eat fish or...well any kind of meat though. They love fresh vegetables and things they can gnaw to wear their teeth down. They're pretty smart too. They won't hurt the ladybugs either. They just let em sit there until they either fly away or are claimed.

Bears
Living teddy bears. They love honey and the occasional cup of tea. These little fellas are the most sensitive pets here. They can't stand to be left alone and they're smart enough to buy things by themselves. Normally, they won't do that, but if they're ignored long enough, they start to buy things to amuse themselves.


Keep a eye out for your pet to find a ladybug. These are what the pets here use for cash. They buy everything from accessories to new pets!
Some pets (*cough*cats and bats*cough*) like to hunt these and you'll have to watch them more carefully or you'll hardly ever have any ladybugs.
When you see an exclamation mark over your pet come and post in the thread that you have one. Any ladybugs that aren't claimed just fly away.
Also, some events like trivia and Feeding Frankie will earn you more ladybugs.


Apart from watching for ladybugs, you also need to watch for giftboxes and letters. Giftboxes are random...you could find anything in one biggrin and letters are gifts from the shop, usually custom made for your pet.
When you see an exclamation mark over your pet, come to the thread and claim your prize ^_^.

4) ALWAYS use the url I give you for your pet as I'll be adding things to it from time to time. But feel free to use a url shortening service like snipURL or MetaMark to save character length.


(Frequently asked questions.)

How do I get more ladybugs?
By feeding Frankie once a week, through random events, and from special events like giveaways and trivia. Or, if you're really desperate for a few extra ladybugs, by removing your pet's accessories for the refund.

My pet hasn't grown yet? o.o
It might be that you just need to clear your cache. If your pet -still- hasn't hatched it might not be time yet. Check the stages section of the intro to see how long that particular stage lasts. If it's been longer and you've cleared your cache then tell me.

My items haven't shown up yet.
Same as the last question. Try clearing your cache.

Can we put more than one pet in a garden?
Nooo. I'm workin on the KISS principle and two pets in the same cert would make it a little more complicated as I'd need a way for people to tell which pet was which.

Yep. [user=Vain], the old owner, gave it to me. I was sittin around thinking about opening a shop here on subeta and she offered it to me. After a quick post on the forums to make sure it'd be ok to sell these here, I told her I'd love it and she dug out the disk with all the pixelated goodness on it and gave it to me.
And so the torch was passed LAWL biggrin

She did all of the lineart for the pets, everything about the gardens, and most of the features of the shop. I only tweaked it to be more my speed. I'll be doing any coloring and new items from now on as well as putting together the gardens and dressing the pets.

Basically, to breed, your pet and it's intended mate have to be at their adult stages. The fee is 25 ladybugs or 40 if you want to pay for both, but the owner of the other pet has to post saying they agree to it.

Try to keep colors and patterns in mind when choosing a mate for your pet as they'll carry.
Species don't mix though.
IE: If you breed your cat to your friend's bat, you won't get winged catbats hehehe. There'll be one bat egg and one cat egg.
Don't worry, I'll throw in a free "Look into the future" for both eggs so you can decide which one you want smile and if you both end up wanting the same egg, I can make them twins so you both get the pet you want.
