So, I read Cog's post just before getting to this page of a Cracked article. Skip down to where the Youtube video is and see what they mention. The hell.

Psychofish I adore just being able to climb around doing random s**t and exploring beautiful, dynamic, or interesting environments. This is exactly the same bullshit a friend of mine fed me while I was arguing about how shitty SOC was. Well, it wasn't shitty, but it was boring and monotonous as hell. Everyone just sucked that game's d**k DRY.

Everyone just sucked that game's d**k DRY. Haha, the environment was definitely beautiful, but I felt like I could only jump off of things and ride on my horse for so long before it got horribly boring. Time trial mode is what made SotC an amazing game. Unfortunately that only came upon beating the game. I mean I guess it kind of succeeded in making me feel fatigued and alone like the main character, but the question is whether that's an enjoyable experience at all.

@Rage: Then I remembered it wrong. But I always choose something like 600 x 800 for the full view. And then the first version you see when being forwarded to the artwork is automatically smaller. Unless the original file has already been pretty small.

I enjoyed, it, I certainly don't expect anyone else to enjoy anything except the boss fights. The sheer scale on those was pretty great.
But I should probably also note in here that I played through the game in under a week, and haven't replayed more than one or two of the bosses. And that I'm the sort who will quit level grinding in MMOs to explore just for scenery or getting to places I know I shouldn't be/shouldn't be at my level. The initial experience was great, but I probably did all of the flinging myself off my horse off cliffs to my death and such stunts and exploration that could be done before it got stale.

Lu: I'll keep poking around. I'm actually doing something of a guide, and in retrospect I feel like I could add more to it, so I'm putting off uploading it until later. It just irks me that I can clearly see other deviations where you have a small image (say, 300 x 200) when you're browsing, and then once you click on it, get the full tutorial image. I simply don't know how to do that. x__x;;
On the topic of Colossus: I can see why people enjoy the game. But I can also see why people enjoy games like Halo. I just find it weird that when it's a small-time game it's generally a cult following, but when it's a big-budged heavily hyped title it's fanboys/girls.
And either way you're dumb for liking the game.

Whaaaaaaat.
Sir that is by far the most enjoyable and endearing tetris game I have ever played in my life, and actually succeeded at making multiplayer tetris more than a speedrun.
s**t was awesome.
