The Hindu legends and epics in my opinion were much better than DBZ. In the fights between the gods, they would loose millions of arrows at each other and counter by hitting each individual projectile with their own. They would destroy the universe several times, then go back for more.
One word?
Hardcore.
But I never liked DBZ much anyways. Too exaggerated.
