LIESA fa NADLEN
coruscant

--------------------------------------------

Liesa fairly shoots out of her seat when Orion's voice floats through the hazy half-dream state she is in. "Here?" she parrots with excitement, sitting back down but leaning forward, staring through the viewing panes in wide-eyed wonder. "Where d'you think we should land?" she asks absently, most of her attention focused outward rather than inward or towards the future.

Coruscant thrums with life in her mind; she feels like there's a billions and trillions of people on the planet, all of them clamoring eagerly for her attention, waiting for her to arrive (though a few are louder than others). The sheer - life, she thinks of it, for lack of a better description - is slightly overwhelming, and far more than she was used to back on Naboo. Even Theed seems incredibly quiet in comparison to this planet that never sleeps. "And what should we do first!"

KNIGHT ARMINA RAHL
nar shadda

--------------------------------------------

"Well, you do catch more flies with honey," Mina says with a helpless little shrug before following Kennero into the cantina. Her nose wrinkles slightly at the smell - the pungent body odor of stars knows how many people and... oh stars, she realizes. She's grown soft on Coruscant, doing nothing but mouthing words and twiddling her thumbs. No one stalked the shadows of Coruscant, no one who could've posed a threat at any rate; her instincts scream caution in a way they haven't for a long, long time. Unlike on Naboo, Mina feels something like prepared - maybe even something like anticipation - for this challenge.

Staying closer by Kennero's side, but not so close that she'd be in the way if he tried to pry his saber free, Mina gives the cantina an initial cursory glance before casually sweeping the area with her senses. "Should we ask the glit-biter in the corner first, or maybe the hooded mysterious figure at the bar?" she asks with dry humor.

ISANI LOREN
in bored oblivion

--------------------------------------------

"Mab," Isani mutters darkly under her breath, voicing the half-request half-command aloud and in the Force; both tone and signature are laced with a restlessness that can only be dangerous in a woman such as she. Moreover, Mab must feel the same way. It stands to reason that she would be up for a spar or something that will drive away the burning impatience.

Isani is not used to being tethered to one place, but now that she has given one person her allegiance she has been making an effort to be somewhat obedient... and it's a slow torture. Her inclination to avoid open conflict doesn't mean Isani enjoys sitting idly by while receiving the barest minimum of reports -- apparently, Rikka has been quite busy sowing discord and the little Bimm girl gallivanting about at Whitesun's request. Even in her five years as 'dead', she was doing more than this -- this waiting to see what Ensis will do.

Were she anyone else, she would have been grinding her teeth and making frustrated demands of Venia. Instead, Isani settles back on a chair in her room. "Mab," she repeats, again layering her words as a telepathic message. Mercurially, her voice takes on a light, sing-song quality. "I'm bored," Isani tells the air in front of her sweetly.

Tython ~ Campsite

Anya furrowed her brows at the old Jedi Master but said nothing; instead, she crossed her arms over her chest and walked from the clearing. She stopped at the edge of the clearing and turned to the Jedi Master again. "I see it differently, and I doubt that is going to change. The Jedi are blinded by their views." With that, she walked further away from the clearing, soon disappearing from sight. Once she was a good deal away from the campsite, she sat on a fallen log and crossed her legs. She opened herself to the Living Force breathing with the forest around. She reached her mind out to touch the plants and animals in the surrounding trees. She even stretched her mind out as far as the Temple. The Jedi there... her former teachers and peers who said she'd never have a master, who said she'd never be a Jedi... The last, she recalled now, was right. She could never be a Jedi because she couldn't see the Force in two shades. Anya realized now at she saw the Force as multiple shades, not just Light and Dark. She believed that one could use the powers of the Dark Side and resist the pull to darkness. She could not be a Jedi. Of that, she was certain. Now, she had to make other plans. All she had known her whole life was the Jedi Temple here on Tython. She would find another existence. The Aing-Tii sounded interesting enough. She would seek them out and see if she could join them.

MAEDRIS MARTYNS
nar shadda

--------------------------------------------
"use eyes and ears to find her marks - but it's Rikka who's asked her to keep an eye out, and only for three people.

Ex-grandmaster -- who the ******** knew where she was.

Some ambiguously aligned force-user who, from Mae's experience, was dumb as s**t -- somewhere, probably doing something or dead, whatever.

And a brunette Jedi Knight, most likely accompanied by one of those idiotic, xenophobic Falleen -- check.

Throwing her cloak over he head, Mae leaves her small (and heavily modified shuttle) to slip through the crowd after the knight-pair, keeping her thoughts focused on inane things like fruit and s**t like that. Rikka had told her some people picked up surface thoughts as naturally as breathing, and while Mae knows more in-depth mis-directing thought techniques she figures running through a shopping list of alcohol and food will be enough to ward off two Jedi who don't know they should be looking for her.

In a flash of snow-white cloak, she passes the pair of knights and heads to a human man she's pretty sure is one of Whitesun's eyes this week. "Contact your Vigo and tell her a child would like to speak to her. Now."

The now could be part of her message to Whitesun -- Mae wants an audience immediately -- but the way she jams her blaster into the back of the man's knee makes it clear the urgency is meant for him, too.

Point Nadir, Advent

She smiles before bringing out a small holo recorder. "Normally I would just bring you to the holonet, but since your currently laid up, I figured I would cut out the middle man." She flips a switch and waits as it turns on, showing the him what she just found. "Now I took the liberty of hacking into your set and what you are seeing is exactly what is currently on the net." The page currently showing the news on the death, with the murder weapon right where he will have no problem seeing. "As far as I can tell, you currently have no lightsaber, and this man was killed very recently by a lightsaber. Please let me know if any of this is riniging any bells."

Point Nadir, Advent

The holo image was clear. He was looking at the face of Pendal. The holorecording didn't show his body, of course, because if the cause of death was fraudulent, then of course the person that killed him or posted up the bounty for his murderer wouldn't want people to know that. But nonetheless, news was out on the net that Pendal was dead and a person matching Kal's description was the killer. And don't forget, that 'Kal', the Force-sensitive bounty hunter that didn't bother using a fake name or persona, was a small, but infamous nuisance to those that had come in direct contact with him. Anyone that had but a small score to settle with him would be combing the underworld for his whereabouts now.

Kal losing his lightsaber wasn't the worst thing that had happened to him within the last 48 hours. Being subdued by a random, non-Force-sensitive stranger on his ship wasn't the worst thing that could happen to him, either. Having a 1,000,000 credit bounty being placed on his head was the worst thing that could happen to him.

And yes, Kal felt like a doofus. Who knew how long he was out? Kal didn't feel like it had been forever, but time was really fuzzy while unconscious because due to injuries. The time spent yelling at this stranger (and getting beaten up by them, too, who had apparently gone out of their way to save their life in exchange for a mere safe passage, could have been spent properly healing and plotting to get his lightsaber back. He needed to go back to Zietta's palace, find his lightsaber, which, apparently someone else had... Yes... It must have been that Force user, the guy had that projected lightning at him.

Kal shook his head. What ludicrous this was! When he found Daesha... Where was Daesha? She was supposed to meet him!

What had she been doing all the time Kal had been double-teamed by that smuggler? And that little girl... Kal looked up, about to reach out with the Force to try to feel for the Twi'lek, when he abruptly remembered the stranger looking down at him, staring into his eyes waiting for a response. A smug smile lived across her face. Kal knew that smile. It was a smile he was all too familiar with in that he used it himself, whenever the cards seemed to be dealt in his favor. It was a smile that stank of shrewd victory. Kal could only think of one reason she might by smiling that way.

"Okay, let's talk about Zietta's palace," Kal said. "You know they have surveillance, right?"

Kal had a plan. Kal knew how to clear his name. He could prove that he was not Pendal's killer and that he was not the one that should have the bounty placed on his head. Now he just had to convince this woman of that.

Orion

Orion's delicate lips curved into a winning smile as he piloted the glittering, Nubian luxury craft through the congested traffic of Coruscant's lower stratosphere. It was far more than he was used to on Naboo, but his excitement to see the temple bordered on fervor.

"Oh, I have a few ideas... how does the Jedi Temple sound to you, dear?" Of course, he was going to go to the Temple anyways. What he wanted to hear from Liesa was her thoughts on how they would go about getting there. She was the history buff, so if either of them knew what sort of reception, if any, would be at the Temple to greet them it would be her.

And, if necessary, how to avoid the reception as well. "You are technically the resident expert on the Jedi... any suggestions on how to get into the temple?"

Eden

Now

Eden smiled at the repetition of a message obviously given under duress. She might have made a mental note to herself to hire some underlings who didn't suffer from shrinkage in their nether areas at the sight of a blaster, but it was also too amusing.

"Does she now." The Nautolan said, black eyes staring at the droid unblinking. The droid did not respond, unsurprisingly, and simply hovered in silence before the Vigo waiting for an order. Eden was not about to keep the Childkiller waiting, of course, not when she was slightly interested in hearing what transpired on that slimy, Hutt-slimed asteroid. There was so many interesting stories on the newsnet, some even more juicy tales from less official channels, but none of them the whole truth. Only Maedris could tell her what really happened... and maybe with that piece she could piece out the rest with the other Vigos.

"Well, Maedris should know she's always welcome. Open the upper level security areas to her and point her in the right direction." Was the response to the droid, finally. It immediately turned and carted itself away noisily to relay the message.

Even a professional like Maedris would have some difficulties tracking down the exact coordinates of the Black Sun base. The territories were easy enough to find -- one step out of the Slug-grease Hutt Cartel's territory and you were already in it. The Base on the other hand... a long, long, abandoned Imperial prison re-outfitted into a formidable fortress. As difficult as it was for the old prisoners to escape, it was even more impossible for someone to get in if Eden didn't want to see them. Aside from the ranks of common thugs and gangsters in the upper levels, the top-most converted into a well-known and well-avoided Cantina, to deter visitors, the prison delved deep into the moon's surface, past the sewers, and security levels only increased the deeper one went.

However, with the right security pass, and the right connections, one could get just about anywhere on Nar Shadaa. Fortunately for Maedris, the Bimm had both.

Kennero

Kennero grinned and eyed the room as they entered, keeping a slow pace to keep close to Mina. He knows well enough that neither one of them are particularly vulnerable, but with this many criminals and gangsters in the room the trick isn't to prove that they can take care of themselves. The only productive violence in a room like this would be the perfect amount and even better timing. Calculating in the unpredictable nature of every single mouth breathing, and otherwise, sentient in this volatile, alcohol-stinking, rancor's den and the situation only gets more interesting.

"I say we start with that drink." He suggests, finding an open spot at the bar. He saves the stool for Mina, opting to remain standing himself, and then calls out to the droid bartender. "Can we get an order here?" He smiled his best charming smile, seemingly oblivious to the levels of tension that are rising second by second around them.

An older model of protocol droid, pitted and dented around the head piece especially (possibly from many previous patrons), a surprisingly deep and uncharacteristically gruff voice garbled out in Huttese to the Jedi. ""

Choking on a laugh, Kennero turns to Mina. "The don't serve Jedi here, apparently." His lips are twitching into a smile and his voice is laughing, but his eyes are sharp and cold as he turns to the patron beside him and then another close by. "Can you believe they don't serve Jedi... I'd call that discrimination, but I suspect a room full of pathetic criminals like you don't care all that much for rights."

At this right a confrontation is inevitable, so he's hoping that Mina senses his intentions.

Mab

It's been some time since they arrived, but none of that time has brought any satisfaction to the Anzat. Venia was no where to be seen, though plenty of her red-skinned dogs were eager enough to flap their loose facial skins at her if she asked after the Dark Lord, and only so much of that time could be spent amusing herself with this Jedi-Sith-Jedi-curious before her.

As it was, the two of them had been holed up in a floor of the late Lord Validus' estate. All of it was their own, which was a wise decision based on, well, whoever had decided that the Anzat and her blue-eyed thrall would need plenty of space too.... train. However, even all of that was not enough. Mab wanted Venia. Mab wanted Venia.

But she'd settle for some mayhem, too.

'Patience, Isani...' She replied when the familiar voice slipped into her mind and sing-songed forbodingly. Then she snorted, aloud, and laughed at herself and back to Isani.

"I'm sorry, where were we?" The Anzat asked her company, then spoke again to Isani. 'Want to blow something up?'

Malo

Lips pursed, chin jutted forward, and brows furrowed, Malo glared at the console readout that reported the number, and level, of energy signatures active and currently targeted onto her ship. Guns, plural; lots of guns. It was a bit excessive, she thought, especially since she told them she was a Jedi. An actual, existing, Jedi, no less... maybe she should have made up a name.

Sighing, she momentarily pictured ejecting the escape pod from her ship and then trying her best to evade fire as she flew off... of course then that would leave a very angry, very desperate Sith in the clutches of a number of over-exciteable, trigger-happy troopers. That and she probably wouldn't make it out of the hangar, anyways. Probably.

After one more indulgent fantasy of abandoning the Sith behind to deal with the trigger-jockies, she sighed and stood, left the cockpit, and then made her way to the loading door. Following behind her dutifully, though looking a little rough around the edges, was Querty. Considering the past few days, Malo abandoned the notion of telling him to do anything besides stick to her like a shadow. The little droid had earned himself a few nice, very nice, upgrades.

Another breath and she opened the doors, pausing only slightly when she saw the barrels of those rifles readied, and then raised her eyebrow as she walked slowly, but confidently, down the ramp. "Really, I'm not that important. There was no need for a full reception, though your concern for my safety is appreciated. Those pot-shots your boys took at me on my way in here kind of shook a girl up a bit."

LIESA fa NADLEN
coruscant

--------------------------------------------

Liesa taps a finger against her chin in an exaggerated thinking pose. "Well," she begins to suggest. "I'm a big fan of the front doors entrance-style... but that failing."

Leaning forward in her seat a little, she really does think, wracking her memory for anything she can remember... "Head towards the northwestern roof of the Temple," she says abruptly, face lighting up with eagerness. "There is - or was, at some point - a rooftop greenhouse there, with what I believe may be a door in the glass... somewhere!"

The Nubian girl's smile is smug as she remembers reading about someone who'd stolen in to the Temple via the more open roofs. There was a reason why she liked history! In the story, the door was cut into the glass and almost impossible to detect unless you knew it was there, but she was sure she and Orion could find it if they put their minds to it.

ISANI LOREN
in slightly less bored oblivion

--------------------------------------------

Lounging in the chair, eyes closed, Isani barks a laugh. "You have to ask?" she queries rhetorically, almost pleasantly, even. She loses that sharp, dangerous edge -- relatively, at least -- her mood is buoyed by Mab, who is always game for something. Thank the stars.

- and back in the days when she was possibly happy, there is someone else who is always up for something, though something was always quite different. blonde, blue-eyed, delicate but strong - "I hear training is nice on Kashyyyk, if you avoid the Shadowlands and don't fall out of the wroshyr trees," Isani had said, back before she died. "It would be good for our Padawans," Alli had agreed. "I'm game." always indulging Isani's mischievousness, her whimsicality, back before mischievous was malicious and whimsical was mercurial, back before she died -

"Let's blow up something big and important," Isani says darkly, eyes snapping open. Her hands aren't clenched in fists, but she's tense - her grip on her senses is razor-sharp, nothing reading in her signature but fury.

But she's on an edge, somewhere, and she's been close to the edge before, but there'd always been an anchor pulling her back, back, so far back that there was light. Now there's just a gaping hole and she teeters; and maybe Mab will pus her. And maybe it'll be good.

Isani laughs with something like delight.

MAEDRIS MARTYNS
nar shadda

--------------------------------------------
Mae glares balefully at the lackey, who will probably be dead soon anyone. "Thank you very ******** much," she says as sharply as she can in a musical accent. "Now where do I go," she demands impatiently, arms crossed beneath her cloak and foot tapping; she's sorely tempted to kick the guy, just because, but she refrains. For now.

She follows the man up, up to the top level and into a nearly abandoned cantina -- though it's less of a cantina than a poorly-hidden disguise. Whitesun probably doesn't need disguises -- reputation alone will keep away those who should stay away.

"That way," the man tells her, pointing down at a door carefully concealed behind the bar and in the tiny, greasy kitchen. Mae growls something that could be assent but is more likely a swear, and heads down the hallway.

It's not long before she manages to find Whitesun. Pressing the lock-release, she slips through the doors as they hiss open, strolling into Whitesun's office casually. "Got some news for you, and a favor to ask," the Bimm says bluntly, getting straight to the point.
