WHERE WOULD YOU ℊℴ WITH A LASSO

User Image
... I'm seriously not joking. Do I get a prize for surviving being a demigoddess? It's a near death experience after another. You're a magnet for monsters! It's easier to simply walk onto the street than having a sign saying, 'Yummy demigod Here' on a sign strapped to your back. It's how it feels.. Wait, what? Get to the point? I'll tell you to get to the f******g point! I don't see you being chased by a bunch of Manaeds.. Yeah, now you're interested. Bah. Mortals. Well, I guess we should probably begin. My name's Elizabeth Raine Turner. Plain, isn't it? You'd think something way more interesting than the name my parents gave me. Well, you can't get anything, can you? Yet, don't call me Elizabeth. If you know me or not, don't. It reminds me of my mortal parents. No, call me Raine or Liz. Either of the two are perfectly fine. I'm usually called that, anyways. Not much after that. The other nicknames of mine are rather.. inappropriate. Don't get me wrong, I'm always up for some pointless flirting, but when the boys or girls flirt with me first, I don't like it at all. So yeah, I'm bisexual. What about it? Can't some Dionysia come around? Hmph. Anyways, I'm around sixteen and some months. Doesn't mean I like math, it means I'm extremely impatient. I want to turn seventeen already. So yeah, in a few months, I turn seventeen! Which is kinda bad coming from my parent, 'cause I'm supposed to be claimed by now.. Right? Ain't that the stupid rule? What's next.. I'm a demi-goddess, that's plainly obvious. Though, I'm pretty sure that creepy monster thing thought I was a mortal by the look it was giving me. You'd better have noticed I was a girl! And I will not prove it! Sure, I'm rather flat chested, but I'd think you'd notice if I was a girl or a boy by now..

Appearance? Can't you flaming see? I knew you were dumb, but I didn't know you were blind. And are you color blind, too? Probably. I guess you don't need much to interview the child of a Greek god. Like both my parents, I have flaming red hair. Original red hair that makes people stop me on the street to comment on my hair. When I'm at the hair dresser, people coo about my color, and I just wanted to tell them to shut the f**k up sometimes. Really. It gets aggravating to hear the same thing over and over again. Yet, I went against most, and I have died my hair blond. Why, you ask? Because I was tired of hearing people commenting on my hair, that's why! Give a girl some room, please! .. Anyways, moving right along from the topic of my hair, let's go to my height. I grew up in a rather.. short family. Sure, 5"2' and 5"4' might not be small for some, but for me, it's embarrassing. It's like I'm the mom, and my parents are the kids. I'm standing about 5"6' right now, but supposedly I'm still growing. Yay. Sure, I'm not the tallest in my class, but I'm still pretty tall compared to everyone else in my town of Ajax. Weight? I'm sitting around 110lbs, which isn't really normal for someone my age, but I'm good at keeping a weight for a few years. It depresses me that I'm over 100lbs sometimes, though, but I can't deny a bag of Cheetos and some Ice Tea sometimes. I have very attention bringing brown eyes, that sometimes look red in different light. No, I'm not a vampire..! You get the point, I hope.

You could guess by now that I love to get my point across. And what better way that bringing a knife to their throat? It's one of my talents. Pick pocketing and 'persuasion'. It usually results in me winning, and the person getting a scar from my knife. Whatever. They can die as much as they want. I have some positive things, just let me think. I'm good at keeping enemies! Some people just can't stand being my friend for some reason. Creepers in my opinion. Though I hate to admit it, I'm pretty good at swimming. It's the constant pressure that's been put on me about it, though. Parents. I could live without them. Really, I could. Divine or not. They're always getting in the way. Divine brings a six headed Hydra into your home, and then the mortals ask if you're okay in anyway. I'm not okay. Hopefully you've noticed that by now. Is being alive a good skill? 'Cause I have that, too. I can easily stay alive. Okay, not easily. It's life threatening, each time is. And then the Fates cackle as they launch another monster in my way. So yeah, the Fates and the monsters aren't my best friends, either. I hate narcissistic people, which makes me want to box Narkissos in the face. And Greek Mythology? Love it. You would think I'd hate it, because my parent hasn't noticed he knocked up a woman, or the goddess was knocked up, and had a child. But no, I love it. It's so depressing! So many wars, so many dumps! Though, some of my friends call me obsessed. I love movies, and I love to go on vacation. School does get in the way, though.

Let's keep my life short, can we? I haven't lived that long. I was born in January, the sixteenth to be exact. And on that day, there was a major snow storm. My mom kept describing of how large gusts of wind would hit the windows, shaking the hospital and making me cry. My dad, on the other hand, couldn't care less. Here's the thing, neither of those two people were my parents. Neither. My mom was far to preppy, my dad was far to isolated. Nope, neither of the two were my parents. They were my fosters, taking me as a child as the real Turner daughter died in childbirth. The person that gave me to them seemed relatively saddened by the sight of my mother wailing, the bloody baby in her arms. Told you my family is weird. Anyways, so they raised me. And instantly did I notice I had some problems. One, I couldn't read. Sure, some kids didn't grasp it at first, but I didn't grasp it at all. My parents found out I had dyslexia, and signed me up for a special school for people like me. I didn't really like being filled with people like them, thinking that I was special somehow. And I was! I also had A.D.H.D. Winning combo, right? About this time my parents were thinking of why they accepted me from that person. They could have easily just tried for another one. That didn't have dyslexia or A.D.H.D. It was always awkward with being around them, all except this one boy. He was relatively tall and hairy for his age, but I allowed him to be my friend, mostly 'cause I didn't have any, and he seemed pretty okay. His name? Terry Johnson. And he became a pretty cool friend, except I was always fighting his battles.

Whilst this was happening, I was swimming competitively. Being in Ontario, it was highly possible for someone to drown. And unlike other swimmers, I had the looniest guy possible for a coach. He was on a cane, he was old, and couldn't stand on his two feet properly. And he kept talking about the weirdest stuff. But boy, he knew how to teach how to swim. We would go to swim meets, our own little team, and then win with excellent times, him pressing his weight on his cane. Many asked for his advice, but he seemed to only like me as his pupil. Which was kind of weird. One day, I appeared on deck, my mesh bag on my shoulder, looking for my teacher. My bag filled with equipment bumped my leg as my feet grew wet and cold from the water's temperature. Where was he? Then, screaming. Then, a face. Then, blackness. I didn't wake up to my old teacher, but rather Terry, and we were in some type of forest. Algonquin National Park he told me. That was pretty far from my hometown. What had happened? I hadn't had much time before a new volley of shouts erupted, voices telling others that they were close. That they could smell me. That was enough for me to speed off. I arrived at camp a few days ago, and only now have settled down.
