My mom sprays some rhubarb water on them. It apparently works. She takes some rhubarb, puts it on the water and let it be about a day. Then she put that consentrated stuff on more water and sprays it on the plants. It's better than man made chemicals and it won't harm anything else than those aphids. 3nodding She says it works on most of the bugs but aphids seems to hate it the most.

That would make sense, it is kind of like mint is to ants. If you have an ant problem just plant a mint plant near where the ants are and they will go away.

Really? I have to remember mention that to my mom. She has quite a ant problem in her garden. The rhubarb water helps bit, but those are so persistent that they always come back.

Certain plants certain bugs will have nothing to do with, I would use peppermint though, it is suppose to be the best.

I used to feed my ants when they came in the house. Once they got what they wanted, they left.
It's been many years since I did that last.

The ants won't come into the house luckily. They just roam around the garden herding those aphids on my moms roses and apple trees.

I want a big garden some day, with all kinds of fruits and veggies, unfortunately I have no yard right now.

Me too. Even though we have quite short time that we can grow things, I still would like to grow most of my veggies and herbs. I just have to wait a year or two before I can get a house that has a yard.

I would probably keep a good deal of my herbs except for my rosemary because that gets HUGE in the house. I might make a gardeners thread in the hobby section eventually.

When I was younger I always wanted a huge brick house covered in romantic looking ivy and climbing roses. *romantic sigh* Then I found out the ivy is in fact bad for the strength of a brick structure. Maybe I can cover the brick with trellis? Well, I mean... once I get a real, brick house that is, lol.

A tip that makes pulling weeds way easier, do it in the rain. The ground is soft and the roots come up easily, plus the sun isn't beating down on you and you stay cool, for some strange reason.

Yeah, I guess mowing the lawn isn't that fun... but I have my man that can do that for me. xp Also I might want to have kind of natural garden. Meaning everything wouldn't be tip top on the right spot and the grass might be bit taller than few centimeters.

No, the ivy vines would get behind it and still grow up the wall, and ivy get so out of control it is difficult to manage, while it is beautiful it is a pain. A trellis with climbing roses would be beautiful though. <3
