Lightface couldn't resist a purr. "Now you have something to do, Hawkpaw. Rearrange the herbs. I will get the snow." Padding out, she whispered to Hawkpaw, "Don't worry about Brackenfur." She began to clear the snow out slowly.

Hawkpaw scowled, but let his fur lie flat and started fixing the piles of herbs.
"I'm sorry, Lightface, I didn't mean to cause trouble." he said to the only cat he would ever apoligize to. "I'm just so bored, stuck in camp. The warriors and apprentices get to hunt and explore and I just have to sit here, waiting while all the herbs out there die from the cold."

((sorry it took me so ong to get back guys... going back to school is a drag...i'll probably only be able to get on on the weekends now... and Oh yes, Torrentstar is gonna try to get across the border again today :]] ))
Lightpaw opened her eyes a bit sleepily, she hadn't been sleeping long and he was tired from her assessment yesterday but when she saw who was prodding her she brightened. She twitched her ears in reply and tilted her head.

Lightface shrugged. "You're a medicine cat apprentice. StarClan said so." She looked out the medicine cat's den, shivering in the cold. "Anyway..." She smiled. "You can hunt if you want to. I'm sure Smallstar won't punish you for hunting. It's your choice if you want to hunt or not."

"Oh, well, if StarClan said it, it must be true..." Hawkpaw whispered to himself mockingly while he left the den. He crossed the camp and started wandering around, not really paying much attention to where he was going. He cleared a patch of snow from the ground and layed down, trying to clear his thoughts.

((ok guys Torrentstar's coming to get Sandpaw HURRAY! sorry it took me so long... i'm a little slow in the head wink so yeah here he comes posting in brown... and btw he had pebblefoot the medicine cat with him... she'll be in indigo so you'll be filled in. Feel free to meet them, they've officially just crossed onto your territory so here we go... .finally some action. ))
The snow covered moor and hillside was just as unfamiliar to him as ever. He sniffed the air hoping they could catch a scent and be able to follow it but there was nothing. He supposed no patrol had been this way yet today. There were no pawprints either.
"C'mon let's just head in the direction of highstones. Maybe we'll bump into some cat." She flicked her tail and started moving again.
Torrentstar nodded and followed. Highstones was a place he knew how to get to well. Even in the snow.

Lightface gav a yawn. "I really hope Torrenstar comes soon. Sandpaw, I'm sure you don't want to stay in rabbit-eating WindClan much longer." She smiled, and added jokingly, "But I wouldn't like to stay in fish-eating RiverClan either."
Appletail gave a yawn. He was bored! Walking over to the fresh-kill pile, he wondered if he'd go and scent the RiverClan border. He told himself it was to see if Torrenstar was there, but he reallly knew it was to see Crystaleye again.

Hawkpaw was getting tired and it was too cold to sleep outside so he went back to the camp to get some rest.

((wow in a way i'm relieved but also a bit annoyed. I know i told you guys already i'd probably only be able to get on, on the weekends, [my predicament is shokingly similar to Bridge's with honors classes and soccer] so i'm sorry for the wait, and i'm glad i didn't miss too much, but there's still nothing for me to respond to! It's been a week and no one's found two intruding cats yet xD Ok i guess i'll just make them keep walking then...))
As Torrentstar and Pebblefoot continued walking in the snow, the wind battered at their pelts. When they had made it about halfway through Windclan territory, Torrentstar thought he caught a whiff of fresh kill, but as quickly as the smell came the wind carried the faint trace away. Were they close to the Windclan camp? He glanced over at Pebblefoot who's eyes were squinted into tiny slits against the icy wind and saw that she hadn't seemed to notice any new smells. Maybe he had imagined it. He wondered how the Windclan cats could catch prey at all here, never being able to catch a scent. But he dismissed it and kept moving. They had to meet somecat sooner or later.

(Well, we can't really go on a patrol...both our leader and deputy has been missing for a bit...but I'll try to find them anyway.)
Appletail glanced around camp, then walked out. He tried to get to the RiverClan border, but stopped at Torrenstar and Pebblefoot. "Are you here to pick up Sandpaw?" He mewed, his tail flicking.
Lightface looked at Sandpaw. "Your leader will be coming to get you soon."

Torrentstar just caught the Windclan scent before a Windclan warrior appeared. "Yes I am." He yelled over the wind. The warrior didn't look hostile. He looked almost as if he had been expecting Torrentstar.
Pebblefoot halted when the Windclan warrior popped out of nowhere. She had been ahead of Torrentstar and there had been no warning for her of the approach. But she relaxed as soon as she saw that the warrior didn't look hostile. She knew that it was time for her and Torrentstar to part... at least until she recieved her powers. She felt a pang of nervousness but recoverd when Torrentstar turned around.
"Good luck Pebblefoot, let Starclan guide you."
"I'll be fine, you also, get home safe."
They touched noses and Pebblefoot continued on her way.
Torrentstar turned back to the Windclan warrior. "I'd like to speak to your leader if that's alright."

Appletail hesitated. "Well, Smallstar might be busy...but, come on, I'll show you Sandpaw." He walked back to the medicine cat's den, and indicated his tail towards Sandpaw. "There you are." He mewed.
Lightface dipped her head in respect. "Greetings, Torrenstar."

Torrentstar followed the Windclan warrior into the heart of Windclan territory and thankfully out of the wind. He was happy at least that Sandpaw hadn't been battling with that along with injuries for the past two days. "Thankyou." He mewed quietly to the warrior as they entered the medicine cat's den.
"Hello Lightface. I'm sorry it took me so long to get here... there was a bit of a storm." He purred the last words with good natured sarcasm as he bowed his head in greeting to Windclan's medicine cat.

Lightface nodded, indicating Sandpaw. "He's well enough to travel. Of course, he would've been well enough to travel yesterday..." Her whiskers twitched with amusement. "But I doubt it if he had to cross a frozen river."

 One song, gloryOoc:// Hey guys. Kei's been missing for quite some time. And so, I've taken the liberty of covering for his characters, Sandpaw and Smallstar. I'll try my best to sound like Kei, but hey, I can't be perfect. xD
Sandpaw opened his eyes and couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Torrentstar!" he cried out, happy to finally see his mentor once again. He stood slowly, for his limbs were weak from the little movement he'd expirenced in WindClan. He shook off any excess bedding that still clung to his pelt and pressed his face into Torrenstar's pelt, taking in the scent he'd been dying to smell for moons.

Smallstar poked his head out of the leaders den, and made his way to Lightface. "Torrentstar, my old friend. I'm glad you could come today to retrieve Sandpaw." he mewed, nodding in greeting. "I presume the river is well enough to cross now?" one song, before I go...
