HermitGhost "Listen, that is fundamentally a very bad idea," said Radergeist, softly but urgently. "Please, don't agitate her. We've had more than enough trouble from her allready, she was created by a 'god' you know." Radergeist stooped to pick her up, as he remembered doing when he first saw her, crumpled on the black earth of the plains, when he had first found himself in this world, alone and with no idea what had just happened to him. Feather's hands reached up to him, allowing him to pick her up. She was light in his arms now, and she held on tightly to him. As soon as he picked her up, an odd sensation occured. Radergeist suddenly felt the entire ocean, the rivers, the black mist below them, open up to him again. He felt power again, as if he were back in Feather's body.

Nienna had a very aggravated look on her face, "Stupid child, I was merely going to help you. Carry you as you were resting, nothing more, nothing less." She turned, "Now that everyone is up, shall we go?"

Chibi_Gokua Nienna had a very aggravated look on her face, "Stupid child, I was merely going to help you. Carry you as you were resting, nothing more, nothing less." She turned, "Now that everyone is up, shall we go?" Feather's yellow eyes widened at this remark and quickly filled with tears, which spilled over onto her cheeks like small waterfalls. She whimpered and sniffed, trying not to cry.

"I keep saying we should go...yet no one is moving. How very odd. Oh and Feather, your mama did not leave you." Nienna turned and bent down in front of her, "She is merely sleeping deep within my body. Pity she will not be joining you again. Her soul and spirit has been crushed by your leaving her. She has snapped...and it's your fault." She looked deeply into Feather's blind eyes, "You were the one person or creature she has loved in centuries. When you left it was too hard on her, and my powers grew. I suppose that means I should thank you, dear Feather. As a thank you I am willing to take you to restore your maturity."

Her tears spilt over, and the ground began to shake beneath their feet. She began to sob loudly. "Not my fault...!! Not my fault!!!!!" She was screaming and crying. However, Radergeist felt an odd sensation...as though he could control the effect of her sobbing...as if he could stop the ground from shaking beneath them if he just reached out....as long as he was holding her....The lights about them began to flicker as she screamed and cried louder, clinging tightly to Radergeist.

Feather calmed down at Radergeist's and Ren's soothing and slowly began to drift off to sleep as he ran his hand through her hair. Her eyes half closed and she found herself caught between dreaming and waking, in that special moment when one can still sense about themselves but still feel the edge of the world where anything and everything was possible. Her hold on Radergeist loosened and she rested her head on the junction of his shoulder and neck.

Nienna smirked, she wanted to know the real extent of Feahter's power. She seemed unaffected by the shaking of the ground and instead straightened up and looked to Ren. "Oh, you have me all wrong, I was not trying to put her down to make myself seem successful or good about myself. I was merely trying to discover the power within her. Finally, someone agrees that we should be on our way." Nienna heard a voice in her head that she recognized, she turned her head to Radgergeist and snapped "I am not lying to myself, this was the me before she came. This is the one true Nienna." She look turned towards Feather, who was slowly drifting to sleep and for a second the look of the Nienna they had come to know had appeared then quickly disappeared.

"No," replied Radergeist, recognising the response. He walked to the doorway, or the broken shards of it that remained, and paused, turning.
"You are who you want to be, Nienna."
He stepped across the threshold, and into the light.
Such a change had come over the plains, it was astonishing. The black clouds had receded, leaving only fluffy, pink remnants in their wake. As the sun touched the western horizon, it shot forth encarmined rays over the plains and hills, casting long shadows over the stubborn little trees, bent by the wind into crazy angles, and the gently rippling grass glimmering as it waved in the sun. It was as far removed from the scene before as could be.
Away in the distance, just visible in the setting sun's dying light, a town squatted on the plains, underground settlements made visible by the tall lightning conductors that thrust up through the earth into the sky, the smoke that issued from chimneys cut into the earth, and the mounds which marked the entrances to subterranean dwellings.
"Healer," said Radergeist, "what is the name of that place?"

*outside, she sat on a larg rock next to the entrance. she looked far off into the horizion. the wind wips through her hair revaling two small circles, one white and one black. Ren brushed her hair with her fingers to cover them up again. still looking off in the distance and spoked out.* Radergeist...are you some sort of mage?

Healer: She looked to where Radergeist was speaking of and nodded her head. "That," she responded, "would be the town of Trais. It isn't very large, but we can still take shelter in it if you wish...although, I think we should still press on towards the monk."
