A crystal blue gaze stared intently into the mirror as Addi tried to tousle her wavy, sun kissed locks just right. The hydromorph sat in the sink while she got ready. Normally she didn’t spend so much time on her hair or makeup, but she figured she would put in a little extra effort for the Halloween party. And if she did her hair now, she wouldn’t need to be fussing with it last minute, and would have more time to spend on her makeup and finishing touches of her costume.
She had opted to be a mermaid this year, it seemed fitting, all things considered. Her roomie, on the other hand was still debating, between a German beer girl or an orange… What had put the idea to be an orange ito Raine’s head, Addi wasn’t sure, but she wanted her friend to be whatever made her happy. If that mean being an orange for Halloween, then she would fully support her. And really, she was sure any costume Raine put together would be great, she was good at that kind of thing. She’d even helped Addi with her own costume. And there was no doubt in her mind that Raine would make the cutest orange anyone had ever seen.
They’d bejewelled a bra, and managed to put together a pretty good looking skirt with sequined fabric and tulle that resembled a mermaid’s tail.
As she settled with her hair, the Aussie vacated the bathroom sink to go see how her favorite little lightning bug was fairing in her decision making. “Have you made your choice yet?” She asked curiously as she plopped down onto her bed and reached for her phone to change the music they were listening to. Opting for something a little more upbeat and hip hoppy than Nothing But Thieves, as good as they were.
Before she set her phone back down, she sent a quick text to Caleb: ’Will I see you at the party??’ A simple inquiry. At least, it should have been.
He'd seemed unsure before when she'd asked, and it really hadn't come as a surprise on the least. He wasn't exactly a social butterfly, if anything he had been kind of abrasive before she really knew him. It probably didn't help that they had vastly different views on life, which had caught them in more than a few arguments. Somehow, despite all that, they had still managed to become friends.
The cryokinetic seemed to have a soft spot for her. And regardless of how little he thought of himself, Addi saw the good in him. He wasn’t the monster he viewed himself as. It was frustrating that she couldn’t get him to see that, but she would stick by him anyway.
Once her phone let her know that her text had been sent, she set it back on her nightstand and started rifling through one of her bags. She set out a selection of different nail polishes that she thought would go with her costume - shimmery and glittery shades of blue, green and teal, with one glittery gold bottle.
“Vote?”

Location: Outside Game Room in Boys DormitoryThinking: Just Another Day in Paradise Kerrigan stalked the hallways of the boys dormitories, trying her best to ignore the fact that she was sticky and in a robe. If she stopped to think about it she really might kill Felix, if she got her hands on him. Yelling for the culprit to present himself, she was slightly surprised when she heard voices behind her. Turning, she saw June and Felix emerge from the game room, looking at her with confusion.
Jaw tight as she glowered at Felix, he asked how she knew that it was his prank that she had fallen victim to. "How do I know it was you? Who else would it be, you idiot," she growled at him. The truth was, she had no solid proof that it was him, other than years of prior experience with his particular brand of humor. June chided the speedster for whatever he had done to her, though the redhead had a feeling that she was less than sincere. As he posited that she clearly took a shower in some Kool aid, she sighed, pushing Kool Aid soaked hair out of her face. When he offered to help her wash the sticky off of herself, it was hard to stop the instinctual laugh that tried to escape. Instead, she crossed her arms over her chest, making direct eye contact with him.
"Look, I get that Halloween is a fun time for pranks and copious amounts of sugar, and that appeals to a particular subset of people," she started, her voice light and a smile spreading across her features. In an instant, however, it disappeared, her tone dropping as she stepped forward menacingly, "but you don't ******** with a girl's shower, Felix. You just don't. Fix it."
Unfortunately, she should have known that nothing she could say or do to him would get him to realize that what he did was immature. This was only confirmed when he got the bright idea that they should re-enact the Prom scene from Carrie at the party. It was like talking to a twelve year old.
Turning to June, she sighed slightly, "I don't suppose you know which showers are safe to use? I'd ask him, but I can't trust a work that comes out of his god damn mouth." All she wanted was a shower in actual, hot water, so that she could get ready for the party. Though, if Felix had more antics planned there, maybe she would stay in her room and avoid it. Kerrigan wasn't one for practical jokes. ((O.O.C: Using my old post layout until I can get a new one made! It feels good to be back!)) "I herd 'em like cattle, 'cause I'm surrounded by cowards. And I don't give a ******** when I walk into battle and that's why I've got all the power."

Daylia couldn’t help but laugh slightly. Food was a very important thing, something they both craved and needed. She shook her head after a moment, Gracie proclaiming that she didn’t care if she pruned. "Yeah, well I do. It’s an odd feeling." Though as the hex witch went on, Daylia sighed. She felt for Gracie, she really did. The obsessed man she was told about was ever the thorn in her best friends side. "Yeah well, eventually you won't have to worry about him damn it." One way or another, and God willing Daylia would help Gracie see to that.
"I guess having someone bringing you food could work… But I don’t know if I would want to eat in here with the smell and stuff." The smell of chlorine was strong what with the large pool and jacuzzi in the same room. "Yeah no, that and I think I would miss my bed too much." Daylia said with a content sigh. "But hey, I’ll at least visit you every once in a while as you live the life of a relaxed fish."
As she sat there fidgeting with her top, Gracie spoke up again, claiming that she had tied it enough that even the worst trickster in the world wouldn’t even be able to undo it. "Uh huh, with our luck, you accidentally pointed at it and it’s going to start unraveling at any moment." She said with a laugh. It would just be their luck. She couldn’t help but imagine the scene in Aladdin where Jafar cursed the poor magic carpet. She looked up from her fidgeting as a brow rose in question of Gracie’s actions. "Good what?" She asked, not understanding quite what was going through her besties mind.
D shifted the conversation to the party that was going to be happening later that night, asking about the other woman’s costume and admitting she hadn’t really settled on one for herself. "Preach girl, preach!" Daylia said as she tilted her head back to shout the words. There were too many sexy versions of things, almost to the point that it was just out of hand. "And that is why I like to stick to the more scary s**t." Not that scary stuff was lacking in the aforementioned sexy versions.
The basket that went along with the red riding hood costume would be quite useful. "Hell yeah, booze and snacks." She said before a slight pause. She pushed out her bottom lip into a begging little pout "You-you are bringing enough to share with me, right?" She asked. Upon hearing the costume that Gracie was going to use, and idea stuck D, one that could build upon her besties. The hex witch seemed to agree that it was a good one.
However, even if she now had a costume idea, she still wasn’t sure if she was really all that into the party idea. She mentioned them going somewhere, but had forgotten about Bruce, and that deep-seated fear that he would pop up at any moment to make his move. "Psshh, nothing to be sorry about dude. s**t happens." She said shrugging it off. There was no way she would leave Gracie behind to go hang out by herself. There would just be no fun in that. "I vote dead." D interjected quickly. For everything that he had put the young woman though it was the least he deserved. "Ehh, without you there wouldn’t be any fun to be had. Plus we can just make our own fun here... Really? Like I’m really that fun on my own? Please, most of the time I just sleep and eat."
What would an academy party be without a fight or two? Especially between mutants? Gracie seemed to enjoy the idea of watching them go down. "Yeah, I guess they can be pretty entertaining. Not to mention we can give s**t to the loser for a while about it too." A small grin crossed her face. Not that the pair ever really needed a reason to give anyone s**t.
"Oh yeah, always sooo much fun." She said as Gracie mentioned people wanting to train. It was always some of the more boring s**t they did at the school. Not that there was really anything wrong with it, getting better at controlling their powers was why they were here, but some seemed to always want to take it too far.
Before they could continue with their sarcasm and musings about the party, the quiet whirl of the revolving door caught their attention. And for good reason. The hunk that entered was quite pleasing to the eye, something D made known with a simple comment, one that Gracie added to. "Do you even like sour cream?" She asked, a small smirk on her face.
Gracie threw in her own invitation as well towards the new guy, although being a little more direct than the molecular manipulator had been. D scooched around, trying to make a little more room so that no one would be too cramped. Leaning towards Gracie she lowered her voice so that the other woman would be the only one to hear her. "Easy girl. Don’t want to give it all up at once." She winked at her. Playing coy was sometimes helpful. Or so she had heard.
She laughed at the man's response, one that made him seem like an excited puppy. She looked to her bestie as the man got ready and entered the water. His outburst elicited another laugh as she shook her head. "Guess that means we’re not frigid then." At least not yet. She didn’t miss the fact that he had chosen to sit a little closer to her rather than Gracie. It was something she found a little odd, and probably something he would regret in the future.
Gracie was the first to ask if all the new kids were cut from the same cloth, and Daylia couldn’t help but study him, wondering the same thing. Maybe it was just a mutant thing, the mutant DNA just blessing them all with good looks. "Sounds like someone might just be a little full of himself." She said eyeing him yet again. "I’m Daylia." She said, half tempted to introduce Gracie as well, but figured she should have the honors.
With the addition of another new face alongside a completely ridiculous question, D couldn’t help but open her mouth and say something off-color to him. She didn’t miss her besties snicker, tossing the girl an amused smile. He shot back a quip, or what she thought was supposed to be a quip but it fell flat. If it was supposed to be funny, she found no amusement in it."Right." She said, her voice flat and empty. Whatever joke he was trying to make was just in poor taste.
Her attention returned to her other companions as he began to swim. She nodded stiffly. "Yeah, I think I have to agree on that one." She said to Gracie. She giggled again. Gracie was was always quite forward. "Maybe, but uh..." She began as she looked from Gracie to Darius then back again, shrugging in the process. "Ehh."
A brow rose in Darius’ direction. "There is certainly nothing wrong with shopping around, if you didn’t you’d end up stuck with s**t you don’t like." And hey, if men could do it, so could they. But as he went on, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes, a wide grin still on her face. "Alright, simmer down now, you’re going to waste all your good s**t in the first five minutes." She said playfully.
It wasn’t long before the other kid was finished with his swim and made his way over to their hot tub party. He introduced himself as Gabe. A brow rose on her face as she gave him another once over. "Daylia, Gracie, Darius." She said, pointing to each of them in turn. She couldn’t help but sigh as he went out. "Around campus, you just said it yourself." Man this kid wasn’t bright, but at least he was okay to look at?
But did that really make up for the lack of brains? Again her eyes looked him over, trying to decide the answer to that very question. This now mixed with the quip he made earlier, she was going to have to say no.

Location: Game room to Hallways Company: Felix and KerriganThe speedster called her out on her lazy attempt to insult him... and, admittedly, yes, it was just plain lazy.
"Well, stupid speedy boy, plain lazy is exactly what I am." She'd put in maaaybe 2 percent of effort in her dramatic act of a sore loser. But what did he expect? It was Halloween AKA her favorite holiday. She had no plans aside from lounging and partying. Anything beyond that was simply too much work. "I hope you've noticed in your years of knowing me that I don't like to do much."
"Plus, it's Halloween. And to celebrate this holy holiday, I am bound by law to be lazy and do nothing." She settled deeper into her bean bag, stretched out her legs, and diverted the topic to Halloween costumes. She was going as a plague doctor and Felix apparently had a surprise for everyone. "You might have a nice body but please don't show up with nothing but a sock on your d**k."
An eye roll was the only response she could muster for the disastrously vague description of her costume. Apparently Felix was incapable of remembering things unless it resembled a Victoria's Secret model. Talk about a hormone fueled brain. "I'm lazy, Felix," She said, playing with a strand of curly blonde hair. "And to be honest, you're too much work to train."
Their conversation then transitioned to alcohol and intoxicating the guests at the party. Felix mentioned that he was pretty much immune to the effects of alcohol and June jokingly suggested using her powers to help him achieve said effects. It was easy to make people vomit. And headaches, nausea, dizziness? Easy peasy. But as expected, the speedster decided to pass on her generous offer.
While talking about spicing up the party, the blonde heard an angry voice in the hallway. Curious to see the product of Felix's mischief, June exited the game room and wandered into the hallway, where she found Kerri soaked in red liquid. With false sincerity in her tone, June chided the speedster and proceeded to watch the two with hidden amusement.
"Kool-aid? Ah... I see," She said, taking a step toward the redhead in an attempt to take a better look at the product of Felix's prank. "Yeah, it does smell like cherry. Not a fan of cherry. Otherwise I probably would've just drank the shower water."
Kerri then asked her a question, to which she responded, "Ooh... good question. I would love to help you but y'know I had no clue he even did this... so... unfortunately, I think I'll have to skip a few showers until it's fixed." As much as she enjoyed seeing Kerri soaked in red kool-aid, she wasn't a fan of sticky showers. It defeated the purpose of cleansing oneself.
June let out a small laugh when Felix mentioned reenacting the famous prom scene from Carrie at the party. "With fake blood? More kool-aid? Or were you thinking of using real blood...?"
Then turning back to Kerri, she said, "I could help you find a clean shower. Or if you want, we could always torture this guy into telling us which ones he poured kool-aid into and which ones he didn't."
Yeah... June didn't really take sides.

Location: James’ Room Company: James, Roland, Aurelie Quintin got out of the uber after it pulled to a stop in front of the mansion. He was wearing thin grey long sleeve shirt and a pair of jeans and simple sneakers on his feet. “Thanks for the smooth and enjoyable ride.” He said as the car door was shut. Slinging his duffle bag on his shoulder made his way inside. It had been a long couple of weeks on the road for him. As one of the recruiters for the school he often gets sent out to talk to perspective mutants found by cerebro. Sometimes the job was easy just stop by and hit them with the spiel and present the options from there. Other times the mutant in question could be more hostile at times or the Brotherhood could show up as well. Then who knows what would be the outcome of all that mess. But Quintin luckily was charming and tenacious so he tended to stick around and make sure people fully understood what was being offered. And as much as he hated it if they chose willingly to go with the Brotherhood then he had to back off. But usually after a recruitment assignment he would look into potential leads of his family. This time like many others came up another dead end. Despite all that Quin won't ever give up hope on finding his answers. Turns out he returned on a pretty busy time. Later that evening would be the Halloween party. It was up in the air on if he would attend. Part of him wants to just relax the other would like to go unwind and have a good time. Another thing about the party was Quintin hadn't gotten a costume while out. But there was a chance he would have an old one in his closet or maybe some clothes he could throw together to make some kind of look. Oh well those are thoughts for later. First he would need to go and turn his report into Blake, the head of the recruiters. Thankfully it was a simple one stating the perspective mutant would be contacting the school to see about enrolling. And the first stop on his search for Blake would be the man in questions room. It didn't take long to get there. He could hear two voices beyond the large man occupying the door way to Blake and James' room. It wasn't hard to pick out James' voice coming from the inside along with a female voice beyond the door way. And given there weren't many people that large at the academy and despite said man only being there a couple months Quintin knew immediately who it was. There was also the fact that they were roommates that would help some as well. “Pardon me Roland I need to get by.” Quintin said his Irish accent clear as day coming from his lips. Once he could actually see into the room it was clear Blake wasn't there. “Sorry to intrude James and company.” He didn't know the blonde in the room as she wasn't around long or often. It was hard to tell in many cases. “I am looking for your roommate to deliver my report.” Pulling a folder containing said documents from his bag. Passing them to his other hand still holding the strap to his duffel he extended his hand to the unknown blonde woman in the room. “Sorry don't believe I have had the pleasure. I'm Quintin.” Said with a charming smile gracing his features. ((OOC: First post I have written in a long time. Hope you all enjoy it.))

xxxxxxxxxxLocation: Dorm Room /// Company: Chuck
Chuck's reaction when he came back into her room was the very reason why she chose this style of costume. She grinned, sharp fangs poking through before she nodded, "Spiders." It was the perfect horror moment. She turned her attention back to the task at hand as he snuck up behind her to work on his own appearance in the mirror. She glanced up at him for a moment.
"Need help taming that mop?" If they did a tight enough curl, it would lose enough length to look a bit more accurate. She asked him to help her out during the night to not fall on her a**, or in the least, not be the reason that she does. She leaned closer to the mirror as she slipped the contacts in, eyes watering a bit as they adjusted as she blinked.
"You must be brave, leavin' me without a babysitter. Don't worry, I'm sure Blake will be there to help out too. And Felix knows better. If there's anyone that I'd take my inhib off to punch in the face, it would be that guy." She glanced at Chuck when he slipped back to her bed, sitting down to pluck at his guitar. She set back to work with finishing up her look while he played.
She stood finally when she was satisfied with her makeup, stripping out of her shorts and slipping into her dress. She slid the lace up her arms, fixing the loops on the sleeves around her middle fingers before she turned her back to Chuck and asked him to help zip her up.
She tried not to chew at her black painted lip when he moved to help her, his hand at her waist. It was a good thing that she was painted to the stars and facing away because she wouldn't be able to bullshit her way through this one. There was very little that she could admit when it came to Chuck. Granted, she liked him. He was fun and he didn't get pissed off at her humor. But she wasn't ready to say anything. She couldn't afford to be distracted right now.
She stepped away from him, hand sliding away before she scooped up her shoes to slip them on. She was careful, using the wall to help her balance as she slid into the heels. They were lacy, much like the dress, with an open toe. "Yeah, well, this isn't too different than from what I look like when I roll my a** outta bed in the morning, ask Farren." She mentioned her roommate as a distraction. It was a good thing that the pair of them weren't too different in what they could do. Alice was a good battery for the other girl's powers.
She grabbed a package off her dresser before plopping down on her bed, opening up the press on nails and setting to work with putting them on. They were glossy black, long and sharp. They fit, like the claws of a spider queen. It was the best combination of what she wanted. She had a dress to prove that she could pull one off, and she looked absolutely terrifying. She couldn't wait for the party to start.

Location: Kitchen With: August, Connor, and Randal Thoughts: Well, I have just terribly goofed. Of course, he was as clueless as it ever came in its many forms of confusion. There was the slight sound of silence, in one (Randal), there was just plain right confusion. Marcel could have sworn he looked like a certain individual, but to be frank, everyone looked like someone else today, which is what he thought a costume was really like. With Connor, there was just him and his soup, though he did mention something about the melting man and a costume. Oh! Surely, he was trying to dress as a normal person. That had to be it...right? Had Marcel said something or thought something entirely wrong? Everything began to make a lot more sense the second August began to speak deep within the hydrokinetic’s head, he wanted to mentally facepalm himself or maybe slam his head against a desk. The kitchen counter would suffice. He wasn’t literally going to do that. It was just the fact that once the wink was laid upon him and he realized just how wrong he was in making a mistake, embarrassment took over with a partially red face and with the fling of a hand, he felt the pull that came with his abilities, but it wasn’t water that came rupturing forth nearby. It was the soup. No force in heaven, Earth or hell could get him to reverse such an unfortunate situation.
”Oh man, I am so sorry!”
There was probably no use in crying over spilled soup, but he could clean it up relatively quick, which is what occurred. At least Connor had the soup he was already consuming. In truth, he was apologizing for both the soup and for awkwardly staring the way he did at August for just a tad long.
”I haven’t exactly had a Halloween or costume before, so I didn’t know what it really looked like. I even thought Professor McCoy was a Morlock until told otherwise.”
He mentally shook his head free of the thought. In short, he didn’t have a costume at all. Was it that big of a deal, though? To him, it seemed like it was too big of a fiasco to do this just for one night out of a year. He wasn’t a buzzkillington though, someone not content on having some kind of a good time. He shrugged, drawing blanks as he opened his mouth to say ”I don’t have one. People talked of it weeks ago, but I didn’t think it was that big of a deal until now.”
It did honestly make him wonder just how many people went as over the top stick out though. Even with the explanation about a dance, wasn’t that sort of a two-person thing to spare yourself of not having to do that awkward solo jig out in the center of everything? Marcel didn’t know about this. Maybe his date with pumpkin spice seemed more idea at this point. Still, he stood there, about as curious as a cat to see what happened next.

"Then I suppose," she admitted with yet another cheeky grin, "I just dissed your costume fashion sense along with your acting routine. Gonna do anything about it?" Her last comment was a playful dare.
Very few things that came out of Farren's mouth were serious, something Cam was likely more than accustomed to by now. It was probably why the two of them got along so well: neither of them tended to take anything too seriously and simply enjoyed having a good time. Poking fun at one another and having senses of humor had definitely helped solidify their friendship as well.
"Maybe I ought to take you costume shopping to make sure you get a real costume. Can't have you embarrassing me now." In reality, the kinetic absorptionist couldn't care less, it was just another thing to give him a hard time about. She likely wouldn't even care if he showed up in nothing but his birthday suit. Sometimes she was a little too nonchalant about things.
“That depends.” she responded with yet another grin. “Can I trust them? Are they certified organic, farmer approved?”
Upon Kat saying her dad wasn't stuck up on a stick, her response in any other situation would have been to make a crack about putting a stick up his a** but it went without say that was utterly inappropriate to say to a six year old. Instead, she put a finger to her chin as if critically inspecting him then finally nodded. "Yeah," she agreed with Kat, "you're definitely right. Guess we'll have to come up with something else."
"A secret?!" She asked with over the top enthusiasm the way most adults did when trying to hype a child up. "I'm so excited!"
As she leaned over in order for Kat to whisper in her ear, she decided to wiggle her eye brows at Cam in mock triumph as if to say 'hah, your kid thinks I'm cooler than you'. "Wow!" She exclaimed after Kat revealed the 'big secret' to her. "That's so cool! I bet you'll rake in the most candy, no problem. Everyone's going to love that costume!"
Farren graciously accepted Kat's offer of a strawberry, thanking her before pulling the stem off and popping it in her mouth. Once she finished swallowing, she decided to comment, because, as everyone ought to know: talking with one's mouth full was disgusting and rude, more so disgusting but she wanted to try to be on her best behavior for Kat. "Awesome! They are really yummy! Who would have thought your dad knew how to grow something that tastes good! Guess he's full of surprises."
"I'm going to be," Farren said with a twinkle in her eye, "Sully from Monsters Inc. Have you ever seen that movie?"
"I'll definitely be back," the petite brunette assured with a casual nod of her head and a wink. "The strawberry sample definitely convinced me. Can't have any of that going to waste now."

Location: James' Room Company: Aurelie, Roland, and Quintin Shrugging as Aurie mentioned he didn’t have to hang up, it was no big really. He would talk to Gabby again. “It’s alright, what did you want?” Of course he had expected it had something to do with the party, but it was best to hear it from the source first. “I suppose, I don’t usually go to the school halloween party. Still, might as well.” As she brought up the primary reason for her coming, James nodded in agreement.
It wasn’t a big deal to help his friend pick out a costume given everything she was going through.
Assuring the blonde that she would make friends in no time, she seemed to believe that to be not true apparently. She cited how long it’d taken them to do anything outside of sessions and James smiled. “That wasn’t because I didn’t like you. You were a pretty girl and if you remember, I was pretty shy those days. I liked you immediately, you were nice.” With what he hoped was a reassuring smile, James made to reach for the first costume.
They were Halloween costumes, and James was mostly accustomed to seeing little kids on Halloween, so he had no reason to suspect they would be slutty versions of the pics on the front. Aurie remarked that they looked fine, and a passing Roland made a remark just as James dumped the bag out. The costume inside was not what he’d expected and therefore missed Aurie even asking who had spoken.
Aurie seemed just as dumbfounded as she snatched the bra up and looked it over. Picking up the panties, James tried to imagine exactly why anyone would be caught in such an outfit outside of a bedroom, James wasn’t sure. Hearing Aurie sputtering about something, it took his mind a minute to register she’d said it was fitted for her. So he was holding a pair of what were essentially… Dropping the underwear immediately, James cleared his throat and instantly reached for the next one.
Mentioning the next one being better, as he dumped it’s contents out, he found that he couldn’t be more wrong. “Huh…” Trying not to think about it too much, James commented on the shorts. Aurie gave her opinion, and James wasn’t sure how she was supposed to do any of these costumes if they looked like these two. Remembering his sister’s costume, he asked if she’d considered a fairy. Listening to his friend, she mentioned reminding her next year not to ask her sister for help. “Uh… Yeah, will do.”
The thought of her hanging onto him while wearing something like this was enough for James to rethink going. She mentioned not embarrassing him, and James was entirely sure that wasn’t the issue as he felt a light push on his shoulder. “I wasn’t worried about you embarrassing me…” James mumbled out as she mentioned going as Marilyn Monroe. Well he definitely couldn’t go as a certain president now. Not that he had been planning on it, but still.
“Right…” She scooted the gift bags away and James looked towards the doorway in time to see a shirtless Roland stuck in the doorway. Or at least a partially shirtless Roland. Aurie asked what he was going as, then asked about Roland. “Uh, I hadn’t decided and well…” Gesturing to Roland as he started to speak, James was glad for the distraction.
“Apparently.” James replied to the first bit of what Roland had to say. The telekinetic shrugged at the mention of eavesdropping. It didn’t bother James, it was really Aurelie that probably cared if any. “Eh, the door was at least cracked, you can’t be completely at fault for overhearing.” James knew the big guy’s name, but he couldn’t say he was too familiar with him beyond that.
Roland mentioned a costume contest and James raised an eyebrow. “Is that a usual thing for a Halloween party?” James wasn’t looking forward to a costume contest, but he imagined Aurie was even less so. “You don’t have to participate.” Hearing a familiar voice asking to get around Roland, James greeted Quintin with a wave. “I see the prodigal son has returned.” Waving off his apology, at the mention of Blake, James was entirely uncertain.
“You know… I think he might have been in the danger room maybe? Or… Well, you know I’m not entirely sure.” As Quintin addressed Aurie, James stepped to the side so they could introduce themselves. Once that was out of the way, he figured he might as well ask the question. “You two going to the party? And if so, what are you going as? Wouldn’t want to go as the same thing or anything.”

Location: Game Room -> Hallways Company: June, Kerri, and Blake
Smirking as June mentioned being lazy, Felix knew it to be true and it was simply one of the many reasons the pair got along as well as they did. “Now now, we are supposed to also spread mischief on this the holiest of all holidays. Surely you haven’t forgotten that part? Granted it was only a small part of my day really.” Having super speed had it’s many benefits.
Chuckling at the mental image of showing up in nothing but a sock, he waved her off. “Like it would be the first time you’ve seen it, but no, nothing quite that crude. Even I have my standards.” Not that it was anything that should be put passed him, but he didn’t intend it at this party at the very least.
Mentioning training him, June once again cited being lazy and also how much trouble he would be to train. “As if you could handle the training.” Winking at the woman, he proceeded to stick his tongue out at her. “I’m very high maintenance, not just anybody can tame this wild stallion. You on the other hand...” Sticking his tongue out once more, it was all in good fun. Felix very much doubted either of them took much the other said terribly serious. It was another reason their friendship had lasted as long as it had.
Talking about alcohol, Felix declined the offer of a disease to mimic the effects. Alcohol consumption was certainly something Felix would engage in if it did anything for him, but he found ways to remain entertained regardless.
Talk of spicing the party up was spoken, but it wasn’t long before an angry voice prompted them to go find Kerri. Asking the redhead how she knew him to be the culprit, she certainly had a point, but Felix wasn’t going to make it quite so easy right off the bat. Her tone didn’t phase him one bit. “So I’m the only one who would ever and has ever did anything wrong at this school? I’m disappointed red, throwing such accusations around without any proof.”
Staring at her as if perfectly innocent, Felix commented that she obviously had a koolaid shower as June asked. “It certainly seems like cherry at least, but who could really say.” He could say. He didn’t miss the little smile at the flirting bit, but any reaction it might have typically garnered was completely overshadowed by Kerri’s anger.
Still playing innocent, Felix listened as Kerri started it what appeared a more lighthearted nature, speaking of pranks and sugar. “It would take a mastermind to also include sugar in the showers.” Felix made note of part of the prank, the ghost of a smile barely gracing his features as he glanced over at June. It was around this time that Kerri took a menacing step forward, in a not so subtle threat. A fact that made him practically giddy as it meant he’d really gotten under her skin. “Again, even if I did do this, who says I know which showers are and are not rigged?”
Of course his innocent act was dropped the moment he mentioned blue koolaid next year to June, but it didn’t really matter. Kerri attempted to appeal to June, but the redhead was wrong to hope June was in on the prank. “You could always appeal to my better nature, or bribe me.” Felix offered as June mentioned she had no clue about the prank.
June mentioned the prom scene from Carrie and asked how they should go about it. “You know, let’s play it by ear and see where the night takes us.” June offered to help Kerri find a shower, or torture the truth out of Felix who simply smirked. “I would have told you for a kiss.” Felix said to Kerri with a shrug, as if the offer was now off the table. Not that it had really been on the table to begin with.
“And don’t forget I know where you sleep.” Felix said with a smirk to June. It was around this time Felix became aware of Blake’s presence. Nodding to the man, Felix smirked as his hard work was appreciated. “Speaking of, if old one eye is looking for me, you haven’t seen me.” He replied with a smirk in reference to the heads in the staff fridge last year. “Or any of the staff really. Just don’t be surprised if you see a clean shaved beastie.” That had been fun.
As Blake mentioned it being a nice look for Kerri, Felix looked back over to June with a smirk. “Care to come back over to the winning side?” He asked perfectly casual. As if they weren’t dealing with a pissed off Kerri, but honestly, she might have had a new outlet for her anger now anyway. And if not… Well honestly, she was kind of hot angry.
