"I liked you better when you were tied to the chair." Alyssa snapped at Mark.
"Well, he's not exactly a survivor, so there isn't really conflict between the survirors." She said to Elias. She knew that she was being difficult but she didn't really care.

"And I liked you better when you were silent." Mark said sweetly to Alyssa. "I'm here for Alex, and she's fine."
Alex sighed. Boys...

Alyssa rolled her eyes. "Well you can by tied up again within a few moments, that can be arranged easily, getting me to be silent, well good luck with that." She replied. Idiot!

Elias opened his mouth to dissent, but decided he wasn't helping matters and shut up again. Let them be. Hopefully they'll chill quickly. As for me...what do I do now?
"Anyone hungry?" he offered, wondering if the treats at the dinner party--it seemed so long ago now--were still untouched and edible.

Mark laughed again. "I'd like to see you try, Alyssa, or can I call you Lyss?" He asked.
"Sure, i'm up for food." Alex replied to Elias.

Alyssa rolled her eyes at Mark. "Fine, I really don't care." She replied.
"And yeah, food would be great." She said to Elias.

Elias beamed and left the room gratefully. He trekked quietly down the hall to the ballroom, aware that he was alone and weaponless, and peered inside the grand room. Thankfully, it looked untouched, and the table on the far side was still brimming with foodstuffs. He grabbed a few plates and piled anything he could on them, put these on a serving tray, added a few utensils to the tray and covered the whole thing a domed cover.
Before leaving, he spotted a strange object in the corner and moved to investigate. Grandfather's cane. he said, picking up the cane that Mr. Gilfax carried around unnecessarily--he could walk perfectly fine, but he kept the cane around as a fashion statement--and discovered that it was the perfect length for a sword. Were they here? Either way, I need some defensive tool.
Taking the cane as his new weapon, Elias made his way back to the the living room where the others were gathered and set the covered tray on the coffee table where Alex could reach it without straining herself before retreating to a corner, fearful of further arguments.
((Are Karin and Aura still in the room upstairs unmasking the robot?))

((I believe they are.))
Alex grabbed some food and ate, gratefully. "Thanks." She told Elias.
"Well Lyss, my best buddy ever, I just wanted to make sure you were okie dokie with it!" Mark replied in a high pitched gay guy voice.
((No offence to the referance of the voice...))

"Shut up, shut up, shut up! You do know how seriously annoying you are, don't you?" Alyssa asked him, fighting a smile.
She took some food from table. "Thanks Elias." She said to him.

Shaking, Karin smashed the head of the thing that had been following them. Fragments of a camera flew out, she narrowed her eyes, "Avoid the eyes of the silvery ghost. Huh, makes sense now, if I hadn't disabled the stupid thing our exact locations would have been transferred back to the 'base' of bad guys." A carving on the robot's arm drew her attention, Karin inspected it closer. It was the same thing that was on the metal casing she had found in the dagger, a star containing a six-pointed one floating with wings. The puzzle was coming together slowly, piece by piece.

"No problem," Elias piped and quieted, feigning interest in the wallpaper.
Ok. Now what? No one knows anything about who these people are, and we're still trapped. What can I do to help? Honestly?

"Of course I know. It's part of my job." He said winking and smiling at Alyssa.
Alex almost laughed. "Oh jeez. Give her a break Mark."

"Well I can honestly say that I hate your job." Alyssa replied back to him.
She picked at the food on her plate for a bit. At first she thought she was hungry, but when there was actually food in front of her, her appetiete seemed to have vanish/

"Of course you do. Whatcha looking at Elais?" Mark asked.
Alex sighed. "Just ignore him the best you can Alyssa. If you talk it'll make it worse."

"Huh?" Elias turned nervously, then gestured at the wall. "Just the wallpaper. Something amiss?"
Mark doesn't know anything, and I don't think anyone knows much more. I wonder if Aura left her clue-book here?
