Tython, Jedi Temple
"Just make sure you turn down the power setting. If we damage the simulators, we'll both be in serious trouble."
Seron set his blaster to stun as she instructed him to do so. She and him had been thinking the same thing. When the setting changed, Seron was still taking up position when the padawan darted forward and disabled several droids in her wake. Seron finally sighted through his scope and spied several more droids appearing before her.
With short and controlled bursts, Seron dropped all five of them. Easy, predictable pickings with a blaster. Training simulations weren't nearly as hard to nail as live targets. As Seron shifted to a more comfortable position, the short lull in targets allowing him to do so, Seron breathed in deeply and exhaled slowly. The trick to staying alive in a firefight was to remain level-headed. Getting emotional, or excited could lead to rash, risky and foolish decisions. You always wanted to keep a clear mind sighting down a scope.

Hyperspace. --------------------------------
------ Sam could not deny her concern about the remaining mandalorians. They were disciplined, cunning warriors, far more intimidating than many other warrior races for their sheer tenacity, but they had always been enemies of the Jedi. Not only since Sam herself could remember, but from testimony given by holocrons she had learned from as well. She had trusted them under Covenant's leadership because it had been Cov and because that was Nexus, separate from the Jedi... but here they were under undetermined leadership, existing beside the Jedi padawans... living and breathing next to the most vulnerable of their Order.
It was a worry not easily dismissed even as she watched the young Jedi fight beside the fair-haired Mandalorian trooper. Mandalorians were not a peaceful people. "It seems an odd partnership to my eyes," She said, watching the both work in tandem, "But my eyes are old and unaccustomed to change." Sam finished with a wry smile, though her doubts did not so easily fade.

Missing Score.
"An escort will not me necessary." Kennero says, the force on his lips and a subtle wave of his hand. Perhaps its the satisfaction that the persuasive powers of the force have assisted their "escape" from these diplomatic entanglements, or maybe he is just entertained by the good Commander's cheerful reaction to them as they take their course. "We thank you for your time, Commander, and wish you speed in tracking this escaped prisoner. May the force be with you."
He dropped his head courteously then, bidding the man farewell -- all practiced and rehearsed many a time with other law enforcement and military agents throughout the republic -- before joining with Armina in the corridor and walking with her to the hangar bay.
"Your ship is on loan, yes?" He asks, though he does not wait for her to answer before continuing. "Take the co-pilot seat in my fighter and we can return to Coruscant together... less chance that I may have to come to your rescue again." The Falleen smiled and winked then, slipping a playful arm around her waist. His spirits were considerably higher after any use of his pheromones.. as well as his other parts.

The Anzat's eyes chilled and turned cruel as she watched the remaining Massassi studying her, aware that they were deciding whether or not they should do as she told them.
"Do you know who I am?" She asked them, her words barely a whisper on an icy wind. Nevermind illumination. There was little enough patience remaining in her to wait for their small minds to decipher their own muddied thoughts. They spoke among one another in hurried, hushed tones and their words were difficult for Mabysyn to follow... old Sith, perhaps... That's interesting... She thought to herself before one stepped forward.
Though he was visibly angry -- and no wonder, considering her violent appearance -- but his words were spoken in a controlled, civil tongue. "Follow, Master Neiva."
So the great red cattle do know me. So why had they hesitated to bring her before her mistress?
As the remaining Massassi guard turned and returned to their positions, six more joined them on their trek to the entrance of Validus', no, Venia's, estate. Their personal honor guard. Mab sneered at them and then spoke to Irella. "You have no reason to be nervous or shy around these beasts, sister. They fear us." Though her barb received no no reaction from the warriors it gave her small satisfaction still.

Nar Shadaa, Black Sun Territories
Eden was only slightly surprised that the Childkiller had subcontracted out to a crew, but why not? Her last job wasn't easy for one person to do.. and though Mae was more than able, she wasn't the type to die in the attempt of getting a bigger name for herself. Her mouth already spoke loud enough to do that.
"I've missed your eloquence, Maedris." Anyone but the Bimm may have considered those words, as well as her emotionless tone, as sarcasm, but Maedris would know better. I've missed your efficiency, was what Maedris would hear, and comprehend as a request. "I find that I'm lacking some eloquence in my own operations these days. If you're interested, I could use someone like you."

Tython - Jedi Temple Anya watched the Mandalorian drop the remaining simulations and assumed a defensive style similar to Form Three: Soresu. It was one of the styles she was learning, the other being Form Four: Ataru. There was about a minute's rest before the next wave of simulation troopers filed onto the simulated landing platform. She leapt forwards, twisting her body in the air as she dropped. She came down between two troops, planting a foot into the side of each troop. Whirling, she swung and cleaved through a third simulation. The other two on the ground started to get up, and she responded by slamming them down with the Force, which deactivated them finally. She brought her lightsaber up in time to reflect a few blaster bolts, but the withering offense by the simulations forced her into a defensive stance. "Hey, I could use some covering fire here," she called back to her Mandalorian partner.

Point Nadir, Zietta's Palace
"People, people, if you please... People, if I could have your attention for just one moment... I would be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to thank our host for this evening."
The blonde, fair-skinned human turned to Zietta Anjiliac with a raised glass full of wine.
"It is her money alone that will keep the Utility Ward open after the power generator failed," the human stated. "I just want to say that it is in times of need that you find out who the friends of this Point really are, and we now know that Zietta Anjiliac is a friend to Point Nadir."
There was light clapping among the crowd of unsavory types in Zietta's large receiving room. She sat atop her hoversled, smiling with dark intent as members of Sable Dawn, Epsis and her own criminal syndicate showed their appreciation of her contribution to the future of Point Nadir by being here tonight and helping themselves to her food and wine. Kal, meanwhile, stood in the back of the crowd, his hood hanging low over his head, glowing orange eye implants somewhat concealed by shadow.
Kal couldn't believe what he was hearing. After all that slug had taken from Point Nadir... Spice, thievery, murder... She took a piece of everything from every district and precinct at this shadowport. All the people around her had disappeared.
Zietta passes some credits and... Well, she suddenly doesn't have any enemies. She had all the power on Point Nadir while, Kal, a former Sith master, was considered to be a puny upstart. What a fantastic situation he was in! Zietta probably sabotaged the reactor she was keeping running in the first place, just so she could gain leverage and loyalty with the spacers for saving the shadowport.
Kal moved along the edge of the crowd, making his way toward one of the exits. As he stepped into the doorway, he cast a Force Cloak over himself, bending light around himself and becoming invisible to organic and artificial surveillance. Not a soul would see where he was going. He darted over to Zietta's lift. It would take her straight up to her living quarters, a private room with an impressive amount of security.
The lift was guarded by two of Zietta's goons, though. Kal couldn't just hack into the lift controls with them standing nearby. He needed to find an alternate access route.

The Bimm grins. "I'm a ******** poet, I know," she says. "Let's get together after I ditch the space cadets and I'll write you a starsdamned sonnet or some s**t like that."
Or they could just have a conversation over a private comm once Mae kicks her temporary crew to the curb, but the point is she has to get rid of them.
"Make for the closest spaceport," she growls at random. Someone will listen to her. "And quickly."
She can find a ship easily after that.

Point Nadir - Zietta's PalaceDerezzedMalo sighed and tipped her drink back, wondering if Eden would mind if she ended up simply vacationing on the Black Sun's dime. So far no one had been willing to talk to her about off-worlders considering that she, herself, was one. Oh well. So far every inch of the place was filled with one sort of slime or another, each of which she was sure had climbed up and out of Zietta's own a** enough times that they were too well acquainted with the kissing of a Hutt's a** to do anything that could be misconstrued as traitorous. That included getting friendly with off-worlders.
Guess you're not as cute as you used to be, Sunrider. She told herself, half joking, as she absentmindedly ran her fingers over the scars on her face. The blonde was also half drunk, the last conversation she'd had with a spacer having begun with, 'I'll tell you if you can buy me a drink' and ending with her shoving him out of the booth after his idea of information was whatever he could pull out of his pants.
She was about to retire, to send another message to Eden, when she felt it. A slight shudder, like fingers running up and down her naked back. It was almost exciting after all these years, feeling the force used by another, but just as terrifying. She hadn't even seen a Sith since Reimus and she had lost one another on Anzat, and none of them were any she'd wish to see again.
Subtly, she slipped out of her chair and refrained from using any of her own abilities to avoid notice. As it were, she couldn't avoid notice any better than an ewok on the back of a bantha in this crowd - her cold weather gear, her strong and purposeful walk, and her personal hygiene - but she didn't so much care if a few spacers noticed she was done drinking; she didn't want the other to feel her as she'd felt... him? It did have a slightly male distinction, this feeling, when she opened herself up to it.
Malo tracked it to where she could see Zietta's private lift, but only the two guards posted to guard it were visible. To the naked eye, at least. She leaned against an unused table considering the lift and its short corridor. It was wide, had to be for Zietta and her hovering litter, but it was sure to have monitoring devices as well as the guards... and the guards themselves were large enough, but a race she didn't recognize. Could be they were resistance to the force, in which case she'd never persuade them to leave the area before they got hurt... what are you thinking, Sunrider?
Memory came back to her quickly. She wasn't here as a Jedi, she was here on a job. She wasn't supposed to watch over Zietta, make trouble, or do anything besides listen -- just listen. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but she turned away from the corridor and fumed slightly. What sort of thing did Eden want a witness for here, anyways, and why'd she send Malo if not for her own specialties, one of which just happening to be making trouble.
Querty came then, whisling as he weaved through shoulders and heads, and hovered before her blinking some flashing lights in rhythm with the music. "What, looking for a new job?" She said wryly, the corner of her mouth turning up in a half smile, and then her eyes widened. A new job indeed. "My friend, we've been wasting our potential." She said as she snatched him out of the air and turned him around, accessing his protocol circuits. It only took a moment for her to access his visual recorded memory and activate it, turning the droid into a small video camera. "Make yourself useful."
He spun away happily, apparently unbothered by the change in his operating system, and followed from a distance while she separated from the crowd and walked casually down the hall. She waved behind herself casually at the security cam and disabled it with the force, the sparks of which caught the guards' attention. They were sleeping too, though, with another wave of her hand and a force stun for both of them. She frowned as they slept on their feet, shouldn't have taken so long. She was clearly out of practice. A quick glance over her shoulder confirmed that the party was still raging, spacers were still drinking, and no one had wandered down the private corridor behind her.
"May as well come out. I don't want to make trouble, I just want to talk... er.. or listen, whichever comes first." She said, speaking to whomever was present in the hall.

Point Nadir, Zietta's Palace
Kal sidestepped as the blonde haired woman stepped into the lift chamber after him. She raised her hand and seemed to flick her wrist. The guards perked up at her arrival-- a seemingly late reaction. She waved her hand and suddenly they were stunned asleep. Kal's hair stood up on end. She paused and gazed upon the guards for a moment. She glanced back the way she'd come, and then spoke.
"May as well come out... I don't want to make trouble, I just want walk to talk... er... or listen, whichever comes first..."
Kal furrowed his brow. He did not like this at all. And he didn't drop his cloak.
"Well, that's not something you see every day," Kal remarked, shifting his posture so he could be ready to move.

Point Nadir - Zietta's PalaceDerezzedMalo laughed lightly at the disembodied voice. "No, really, but if you insist..." The promise hung on her voice as she paused, eyeing the guards from the corner of her eye. The stun wouldn't last forever but... what the hell?
Grinning, she continued. "So you're to be my invisible friend, then? Alright, I can go with that. Do I at least get a name, or do I make one up for you?"
Not the questions she wanted to be asking, but it was a start. At least the voice had confirmed her suspicion... not of whether or not a person was really there (in which case she'd begin doubting her sanity if she'd been wrong), but that the unseen figure was a man. Not that it made much difference, but one never knew when it could come in handy to mark an adversary, or ally's, sex.

"What is this?" Kal asked, unnerved by this agent's nonchalance.
What was she doing here? What did she want with Kal? Did she know Kal? This could turn into a horrible snag upon the assassination.
"What are you... What are you doing?" Kal asked.
Kal began to circle the blonde woman, stepping slowly and strafing her, keeping his front facing her. There was no need to stay in one place while he talked, not if she was going to try and fix on his location.

Malo's grin softened to a warmer smile as she spoke, hoping to ease the distrust she sensed in the speaker's words if only slightly. "Me? I'm just making conversation. I could ask you the same, especially since it seems to me that you're the one that's so interesting."
She crossed her arms behind her back and shifted her weight to one foot, looking up at the ceiling if only to have something to look at while she spoke. "Why not show me your face, give me something to look at. I'm sure you're not that ugly that you have to hide yourself... or maybe you think that you're so handsome the room will collapse at your revealing? If that's the case then I promise to do my best not to swoon..."

Kal stopped for a moment.
"Are you serious?" Kal asked, incredulous. "Uh... You're a Force-user... You can't just pluck my identity out of my brain?"
Kal was calling this woman's bluff. Naturally, he was now prepared to stop and counter such an attack. The only way she could take the information she sought is if she was very powerful and expert in her use of the Force. If she was just an amateur, or at least not very confident in herself, then Kal would take the same information of hers that she was trying to pry out of him. Stupid Jedi... Or Sith... Whatever she was.
It was when Kal started circling again that he finally noticed the scar running down the left side of her face. It followed from her eye down to her jawline. Kal wondered where she'd obtained that scar from.

Malo scratched at her scar lightly, out of habit, and then shrugged. "True... but it's so much more polite to just ask, isn't it? I mean, I was pretty up front about not wanting any trouble or anything... plus what's a name without a face? I never was any good at names, anyways." She trailed of because as she spoke she realized that his voice was coming from another direction than when they'd originally started speaking, and she suspected that he wasn't done moving.
"Let me know if I've got anything on my back, would you?" She asked, feinting a check herself, subtly addressing the fact of his movement.
"Still won't show my your face, huh? Now you've got me really curious..." She grinned again, this time playfully. "Must really be something special if you're so determined to keep it a secret." Of course, more likely, he didn't want anyone to be able to identify him. "Oh I get it... Zietta hired you for a little.. 'after party entertainment'... didn't she?" Making quotation marks with her fingers while she said it, Malo's cheeks blushed slightly to accompany the suggestion. "Well I'm not judging if that's your sort of idea of fun..."
