Bloop.
So I was just thinking a little random detail.
After all of the mercenaries within a group are kidnapped or jailed, there should be a special, well-written scene of the group leader being kidnapped, signifying the disqualification/loss of the entire team from play. ((Of course, a Crimson who was apart of the losing group will still get a prize if the Crimsons win.))
On that note, I'm beginning to think that when the groups win, the players who survive the encounters without being kidnapped or jailed should get a better/slightly bigger prize than those of the winning team(s) that did not make it all the way through. To make it fair.
I still vaguely remember the achievements from last summer and think that would also be really awesome.
So yeah, another blurb.

Pfft. Names. Sauce. Stuff. I think a good name would be something that goes with my usual nomenclature, like uhh..
I shot the Sheriff, it's what I was paid to do!
Or uhh... Hmm..

Elpidius Elon I'm thinking that when we choose who goes into which mercenary group, the people within a group should know who is also in their group. They're kind of like teams and all that jazz - if even one person in your group survives the entire game, the whole group would most likely count as having won. Each member should also learn their specific number but not know anyone else's numbers (unless we get lazy and just list them on the page in numerical order). I don't know about the whole merc team winning if the last player is from that group. People have other alliances, and the last player might not have liked the people in merc group because he/she couldn't trust them. Maybe, a small prize is awarded to the people belonging to the merc group. Let's have two numbered lists, so it's not really obvious. Elpidius Elon In Salem, there are a variety of roles, including different evil roles. I'm not sure if everything we discussed is actually on the page at this point, but I don't think it matters much.
I think we could add the role of the lookout or modify Eagle Eyes. A lookout-type role could watch one player and then be informed if someone visits that player. It would be really simple for us moderators to handle.
What do you mean by "visits that player"? Do you mean a lookout type role will be able to choose a specific player and see who messed with them? Elpidius Elon There should also be some sort of investigative role. We could either let them investigate individuals so they could get specific hints on a number's role OR we could send them set hints about one specific individual that they are assigned by us, like in the game from last summer. Since we're working with a guess-and-check number system, it would probably work well if we create a specific role that can investigate a number to find out who it belongs to. Combined with the investigator or any other role, it would work really well but alone would mean nothing. Since the whole storyline is about spies within the guilds, a number-reader can't even completely trust his group-members. It depends on the kind of people who join the group as to if a number-reader would be a good idea, really.
This number-reader could be called "The Psychic". Elpidius Elon When people get kidnapped, I think we should announce their role after they are kidnapped UNLESS we have an evil role that can clean up their role. This may or may not work if we allow the kidnapped to continue speaking in the main chatroom, but it is an idea. ---Announcing their roles may also backfire if we have a role that can rescue one of the kidnapped people. (Someone who rescues kidnapped people would only be able to rescue a person ONCE within the entire game)---
That makes sense. We should have a person that rescues kidnapped people. Their role powers should happen every three rounds. This role is a specific action where the player can specific choose who to affect. The thief's role is semi-specific where the player has to choose a number and specifically pick the players to affect with whatever action the chosen player number was. The kidnappers are also specific, but not when they want to taint someone. That's a pretty interesting component of this game. Some roles are number based, while others are specific. Elpidius Elon The other Crimson spies should know who is also Crimson. They shouldn't know which merc group the other players are in but they should know who is on their team of evil-ness. We should really have some support Crimson roles too. They would be the first to go if we didn't have enough players.
Yeah, spies should know who's a spy. Support Crimson roles are a good idea! I'm not sure what yet.

Frogstar B I don't know about the whole merc team winning if the last player is from that group. People have other alliances, and the last player might not have liked the people in merc group because he/she couldn't trust them. Maybe, a small prize is awarded to the people belonging to the merc group. With the whole prize system, I was thinking a max of 10k for the people who don't survive the entire match. (Not including achievements if we decide to put them in.) In this crazy economy, 10k is nooothing, and I am more than willing to donate a good chunk of gold. Winners could have something around 100k each maybe, or even a million. I do have quite a bit of gold to throw around. Another option could be to give each winning team 1-2mil that would be divided evenly among all of the surviving players. It would give incentive to stab group members in the back to get more gold in the end if someone wants to be greedy. *shrug* It's an idea. Frogstar B What do you mean by "visits that player"? Do you mean a lookout type role will be able to choose a specific player and see who messed with them? Exactly. If anyone, even a good role, goes to mess with the person the lookout is watching, they will know. The lookout won't know if they're good or not, too, but if that person is kidnapped and only one person visited that person that night, you've caught a kidnapper! Frogstar B Support Crimson roles are a good idea! I'm not sure what yet. The best support role for the Crimsons that I can think of would be the Framer. If an investigative role "talked" to a person the same night they are framed by the Framer, that person comes up as a Crimson! Do we even have an investigative role like that? We do, I think. Maybe.
On a final note, I think that each person should know their specific number. So they don't attempt to distract themselves or something without knowing it.

Okay, I agree with the prize giving. Elpidius Elon Exactly. If anyone, even a good role, goes to mess with the person the lookout is watching, they will know. The lookout won't know if they're good or not, too, but if that person is kidnapped and only one person visited that person that night, you've caught a kidnapper! And, the role can be totally useless if they pick the wrong number. (; Elpidius Elon The best support role for the Crimsons that I can think of would be the Framer. If an investigative role "talked" to a person the same night they are framed by the Framer, that person comes up as a Crimson! Do we even have an investigative role like that? We do, I think. Maybe.
On a final note, I think that each person should know their specific number. So they don't attempt to distract themselves or something without knowing it. Yeah, the Framer sounds good. And, knowing your number is better. (;

So, I believe we should have a list of what we need to do to start. It seems we just need to add a few things, and then, we can start on our kidnappings. We should develop our mercenary groups. (finishing character profile, attitudes, appearance, and ect.) We need to think up more roles that would support the Crimsons and also a role that has investigating powers or something. We need a title full of zauceyness! -After we have our title, we need a snazzy banner and post art to catch people's eyes and attention! --- There might be more things to do . . . Anyway, my biggest fear is that another forum game like this one may suddenly appear and we will not have enough players to participate. After all, Gaia has fewer people online for quite some time. Of course, this isn't a big dealio when we have connections and ect. I also want to know what each of you think and feel about this game~~~ C:

This whole Gaian economy makes 1 million golds almost meaningless. I saw that a recent mafia game had a pot of 1 billion. However, that's A LOT. O_O;;;

I just got an item worth 50 mil that we can use for a prize. There should be some item prizes too possibly maybe, for the best players... Or for the achievements! If you get an achievement you get a cool item that has something to do with the achievement. I am still sold on an achievement system.
So for a list of things to do? More support Crimson roles A TITLE graphics a set prize pool achievements Finishing up merc groups GAME MULE
Not in that order.
