Cale Darksun stellarmagic Oh this is too cruel... Sayla-girl wants to come after me? eek Maybe I shouldn't be that surprised, but man... make me have to work. You stole an artifact, a starship, and killed a few Sith on the way out despite being a Sith yourself. And you're surprised they posted a bounty on you? No... I'm concerned because they got a competent person for the job. Of course they don't expect her to kill me... The sith seer that's behind this thing has designs of her own, of leading her to Revan's Shield. Supertrooper Sayla... and my next stop is a kriffing library! At least I plan on picking up a jedi there.

She's a grey... and my character isn't the most terrifying of sith. Plus, I think there'd be a pretty high chance that the situation on this planet would be rather unique. It'll be a self-declared open world, and the sith go along with it because the locals can threaten to destroy their knowledge if they interfere.

Terrific. just what we need: Fence sitters. You'd think that after 500 years of warfare with open evil that the Fence sitters would have picked a side by now. And what planet is this that the Sith cant take by force?

It's a library planet... You know how easy it is to destroy datacards? Hit delete all and type in an authorization code. Ha! The planet is now worthless. So now you picked up a planet's worth of pacifistic scholars. What are the sith gonna do with them?
It's Obroa-Skai, and they have a long track record of doing this sort of stuff.

You're under the missaprehention that the Sith give a rat's a** about the collective knowledge of a bunch of NFUs. You also seem to forget the Sith track record of nuking worlds for no real reason. They will detonate a star or glass a world just to kill one person. Do you think all that data is worth anything to them?

Considering the amount of effort they put into archaeology on Korriban... Knowledge is one of the few things that will motivate the sith to leave a planet be. So long as they are allowed access, they're willing to let the useless people of the planet carry on, why else bother with the world anyway?
Knowledge lost is power lost, and when power is lost it's not easily regained.

Somehow, stellar, I dont think the Obroa scholars are going to keep all their data in their computer network. Then some wise as slicer could just hack them and deleat everything, or they lose all their data due to a computer error. Regardless of that, the Sith nuked Ossus. And that was a JEDI LIBRARY WORLD.

What the heck is woad anyway? Is that just the name of the dye or is it what the dye is made of?

Cale Darksun What the heck is woad anyway? Is that just the name of the dye or is it what the dye is made of? Woad is the name of a flowering plant and it was supposedly used in the dye. Although there is some doubt now if that is truly what they used.

I know they bleached and spiked their hair, wore torcs and invented soap long before the Romans even thought of it. Thats still acurate, right?

Yeah, the only reason woad is suspect as the dye for body paint and tatooing now is because when placed in wounds or tatooed on a person it makes a large amount of scar tissue and when it heals the blue is gone.

They are not quite sure but some have theorized that copper may have been used for the blue tatooes. Sadly not much is known about the Picts' tatooing and body art so a lot is just speculation.
