chocfudge adabyron WellzY But of course, singing in German is far more romantic. whee I used to know how to play a number of German Christmas carols on the accordian. That did not bring any men into my life. wink OTOH, my ex had a veeerrry soft spot for "99 Luftballons" and my fiancé seems to have a thing for Blümchen. eek I used to listen to Blümchen when I was around 8... I'm not sure about Blümchen, but I heard 99 Luftballons from a very young age, and was obsessed with it. I didn't hear it again untill I was 17, though I knew it was in my head somewhere. I was so happy when I rediscovered it.

I did recently discover that one of my friends has "Heute Ist Mein Tag" on his iPod though. I also loved "99 Luftballons" when I was young, and I hadn't thought much about it until I heard a snippet in "The Wedding Singer" a few years back. It was nice to resurrect.

Well I live almost as far removed - geographically - from Europe as you can get: Australia. Although we're still closely related to England, and Europe to a lesser extent, we're more closely related with the US now. Errr, to keep it on topic, Germany is still our third or fourth largest trade partner.
