I just spent like four hours working on this guys computer...and he said he would pay me...and when I walked out there to get my payment he threw a dollar at me and told me to go buy me an ice cream cone...and then left...

I don't want him to be stabbed at all...I just hate that he had to be such a d**k to me...idk...-curls into a ball- I just feel used I guess or like I have been stolen from..I took two years of I.T classes to be treated like s**t. >< Not to mention I was gonna put that money up to pay on my car...and I'm a full time college student with crap tons of homework to do...but I still took time to take care of his needs... @Hinaba It's okay, something will be done...I hope...xD

Parween Whutev Bro I just spent like four hours working on this guys computer...and he said he would pay me...and when I walked out there to get my payment he threw a dollar at me and told me to go buy me an ice cream cone...and then left... yeah this was Legit work...his wife messed his screen up so bad on the freaking computer that you couldn't even read absolutely anything or even see the icons...so i had to go around clicking and tabbing and looking at photos through my computer to fix his...and yes! Payment was discussed beforehand and we agreed that he would pay me twenty dollars for every hour I worked on it...and I legit worked on it for four hours! I even had to call in a second tech to help me! and I know him through my aunts best friend...

OR you can talk to his wife on how her husband just treated you. And if she's no different then talk to your aunt and your aunt's best friend on how disrespectful the husband was to you.
Don't think that your shoving the problem to someone else by talking to someone else. You're simply using your resources to get the money that you deserve for work and you're not willing to stand by and be disrespected whether it was a joke or not.
And next time just to be sure ask for half or a third of the payment upfront even if you have no idea how long this might take you. Probably just have like a standard $40 'deposit' fee. Stuff like this even like art commissions, you have to get half the money or a legit contract signed by the both of you.

Well at least now you know the precautionary steps you need to take when it comes to this sort of business. There will always be people who want to swindle you but you're the one with the skills and the power to alleviate their problem.
