Alexandria Vance Erin nodded " thank you, father." she said as she pulled her hand from her coat. She sighed and looked the priest in the eye " I did what I did to protect a friend" she said and scratched the back of her head, trying to come up with a plausible sounding lie. Her eyes widened again as the words formed in her mind " I don't know why, but the guards just started arresting random people, I stayed behind so that my friends could get away. Then one of them tried to grab me, so, I nailed him" she said and glanced to the ground " does god still smile on martyrs?" she asked as her gaze returned to the man. Allure nodded and followed Cora with quick pace. She hadn't seen Rune or Veronica since the morning and it was now dark, She hoped no trouble had fallen upon them.

They picked up their weapons and each carried a torch as they headed out.

'Dammit, dammit... which way again?' Rune thought furiously running down the street trying to remember the way to Veronica's house. "I couldn't have gone THAT far off!?" she moaned, stopping for a bit to catch her breath. "but that girl probably is free from the powder and vines by now!"
Once she caught her breathe Rune continued running towards hopefully was the path to Veronica's house. "Hopefully I get back to the house before Clarissa does or I run into Allure..." she muttered.

Cobra watched as the self proclaimed assassin followed them back to the house, showing a bit of concern as to his own fate, and rightfully so with the way things were going. "It would seem to me that if they knew that you were the assassin, that you weren't a very good one. That is the whole point isn't it? To kill and not be caught? Not that I suppose it matters", Cobra said as he continued without waiting for a response, "I would likely suspect that even if you weren't an elemental user, any troublemaker in the city would now be at risk of being accused of being an elemental user and rounded up, and who knows to what kind of fate. You would do best to find a safe haven somewhere in the city, and using your powers in broad daylight wouldn't be so wise either."
Cobra knew that he couldn't exactly trust the man, and that he had killed a friend of an ally, but he still couldn't help but feel like he should warn the man. Assassin or not, he deserved to know of the upcoming persecution the city was soon to face.

"I don't care who knows that i'm an assassin. It's just a job, like being a bartender, or a cook; I rarely get caught, and never before I finish killing the target; and I spent 10 years in the Tower of London. Torture? Doesn't bother me. and as for a safe house, I figured, why not crash with you guys, if you don't mind.... It'd probably be safer for everyone to be in the same place, in case of the soldiers attacking... and I hid all of my gear underground, so I can just call it up wherever..."

Agitation could not be seen in his face as it was mostly covered, but it could definitely be heard in his voice as he spoke back to the man... "Bartenders and Cooks don't kill people for payment. They actually make a more honest living by creating a business and selling a product to customers. You kill people, ruin lives and families, all at the whim of the highest bidder. Assassination is not something to be written off as a common profession...and you're never done hiding as an assassin. people will always be looking for you...it never ends, its a self-absorbed lifestyle of never-ending violence and meaninglessness. What makes you think you could simply crash with us?...we aren't staying around this area, we're leaving soon. Why should we even trust you far enough to allow you to walk the same path as us?

"To me, it is just a job. Mercenaries, soldiers, and assassins all do the same thing. They kill people, sometimes for money, sometimes for a cause; and yet only assassins are labeled as evil, simply because we do not expose ourselves as readily to danger as other people. That is why I don't hide. I am simply doing a job; the armies who defend countries are just doing a job. Just because I kill people does not make me any less of a person then that bartender or that cook; I know what I do, and I don't mind because I have never been called to kill and innocent person. Innocents do not have enemies are if they are killed it is by soldiers and mercenaries. I have no quarrel with you people, and as far as I can tell, you are just innocent people that soldiers are trying to kill. You are being hunted like I have been for my entire life; so i thought that you might be understanding and sensible; and so I wished to meet you to see if I would finally meet someone who knows how hard it is being hated; but I was wrong, you are all uneasy around me and treat me as if I have some sickness. If you really think that I would stab you in the back for no reason, simply because I kill to earn a living; then you are stupider then you take me for."

"I never called you less of a person then anyone else, or evil. You cannot say that you've only ever killed the guilty...and assassin's job at it's core does not allow for a perfect record. You can try to say this person is innocent in his life and this person is guilty, but appearances are deceiving. For an assassination to be run purely as a job, there can be no emotion, or the assassin themselves will go insane. With no emotion, there is no compassion, and no filter for right or wrong, guilty or innocent...you're just doing your job."

"Because I was contacted about a year ago by a man who called himself the king of the ice kingdom. I went to meet him where he told me too, and I found a large palace covered in ice and snow. I went to the throne room and met with this man named Raphael. He hired me to poison the members of a rebel group and told me where to find them. So I spent 2 months living in the ice kingdom and learning they're ways while I slowly worked my way into the organization. After those two months I had learned how this Raphael had come to power, and how he had killed the queen and tried to kill the princess. I was so sickened that I revealed myself to the rebels and told them all I knew. I went back to Raphael and claimed to have killed them, and took the money he gave me and donated it to them. Since I have helped them gain members, and then came here to find Allure. I have been searching for about 6 months, and I got lucky when I looked through Vash's notes. So my reasons for joining you are to overthrow Raphael and have him pay for his betrayal."
